Hey ALL
So I spoke to an ISO a short while ago about my case which was filed on October 23, 2017 for I-484/765/131.
He said that my file was not lost and that he saw some activity on it yesterday and it is marked as 'pre-adjudicating activity'. He could not discern as to when a decision would be made on the combo card. He raised a SR for the 765 & 131.
Interestingly, he also said that typically the I-485 would not be sent to my field office until they make a decision regarding the EAD/AP.
So basically, I continue to wait

School done, waiting for EAD, ICE
If done w/ school and no longer on F1, what is the risk of having issue w/ immigration official while EAD/I-485 is pending? The application was filed before school is done.

October Filer - C9 - Case Approved
Hi everyone,
Finally some traction on October filers married to green card holder. It seems that what some folks were saying on the forum that the I765 won't be processed until the I485 is further in the processing cycle is true. I got my I765 and I131 cases approval notice and just in a couple of days after it I got the I485 case ready for interview notice. Here is the timeline.
Receive date: 10/11/2017
Center: NBC
Fingerprint: 11/ 1/2017
Case Approved: 6/1/2018
I485 Case Ready for Interview: 6/6/2018
EAD (Combo Card) at Hand: 6/8/2018
I filed three service requests for I765, all came back saying case is under review. Infopass, Congressman and Ombdusman all said the same. I also submitted an expedite request after 6 months with a job offer and proof of losing income but didn't hear back on it. I guess we just need to wait until the time comes. Good luck with everyone.

November 2017 Filer - I-765/I-485

I was another silent reader on this forum for several months as I anxiously awaited status updates on my case. Finally after 213 days (exactly 7 months, similar to others), I received an update this morning that my EAD is in production, as well as last night stating my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
My timeline & case specifics are below:
Filed I-765 & I-485 first week of November 2017
Category C09 - Married to a USC
Current DACA Beneficiary
USCIS Receipt Date for I-765: November 6, 2017
USCIS Receipt Date for I-485: November 7, 2017
Case processed by NBC
SR in February went unanswered
SR in mid March was answered April 6, 2018: Case still in review. You should receive an update in 30 days."
SR on May 8, 2018 was responded to on June 5, 2018: You should receive an update shortly
June 6, 2018 at 7:50pm - We are ready to schedule your Form I-485 for an interview
June 7, 2018 at 6:40am - We ordered your new card, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

It is reassuring to read similar experiences, though I wish we didn't have to wait so long, and be able to know that your case is not the only one taking excessively long. I too, felt like there was no light at the end of the tunnel, but that all changed from one instance to the next. Stay strong, and don't lose hope.

EAD timeline / congressman?
Hi, I am trying to understand how long it'll actually take for my EAD?
3/6 - Received I-485 Application for Adjustment of status (married to Permanent Resident)
3/6 - Received I-765 Application for EAD
4/10 - Fingerprints appointment done
4/17 - Fingerprints reviewed

I called uscis customer service and they say the EAD may take UP TO 6 MONTHS from application (so up to September??) but it may even change.. do you know the current timeline for the EAD? I really need to start working and I don't know what to do anymore... also I read some people involved congressmen for help, how does this really work: do you have to know someone or you just contact a congressman in your state? (I am in Houston TX)

C9 category renewal
I tried to expedite my case for EAD since the old one will expire in 3 weeks. I applied fon April 10th for a renewal and all effort to expedite my case is zero. I got a mailed saying they having so many cases based on financial loss. I tried Congressman and I was told it will be reviewed and we will get a response. 1 have 180days automatic extension but I can’t renew my driver’s license with the notice of action. What can I do pls help I don’t want to loose my job.

USCIS email updates - confusing ?
I-140 approved (EB1a) - TSC.
I-485, 765 and 131 concurrently applied with I-140- TSC.
I-765 and I-131 - status remains the same - no idea where they are being processed - assuming it is at TSC.
I-485 case transferred to the NBC, Lee's Summit, Missouri - 16th May, 2018.
This morning, received an email notification as follows:
" We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time.
We will notify you when your case status changes.
We last took action on your case on May 24, 2018. "
when I check my account I dont see anything on any action taken on my case after the 16th of May, 2018.
is this normal?

Hit 250 day mark - nothing
Officially touched the 250 day mark. I am so so disappointed. NBC has a huge backlog. what to do about this?
