Hey All

This is tough for all if us. I suspect that USCIS is just going to focus on my GC since my PD became current in May.

Approved but no EAD mailed?
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone else having the same issue. I got the letter of approval on May 2nd. Thought that I will receive the card in a week or so and I got super excited, but a month later i have not received it yet. I called USCIS and they said as long as it is within 60days it's still normal processing time. but I know for the fact many receive the card in a week or so after the approval? Is there anything I can do beside just sit and wait? The below is my timeline, thanks in advance for sharing your experience/suggestions.
PD 12/15 (married to USC)
Biometric 1/25
EAD approved 5/2

Congressman or Oudbudsman?
Hey guys, yesterday I had a conversation with my lawyer given that the case is close to be 8 months pending. They mentioned that I should contact oudbudsman or congressman. However they recommended only to do one at a time to avoid USCIS to be asked the same things by to parties at the same same. Which one should I go to first?

New processing times are catastrophic
EADs at NBC: 4-6 months
EAD for F1 student: 3-5 months
I-485 at San Antonio : 11-27months

This will only get worse.

Change of time frame??
I have been waiting since January for my work permit checking the processing times almost everyday.. Just as things were starting to look good (seeing they were processing cases from Jan 01, 2018.. which would mean they would be processing my case any day now) they have changed their website to show time range 4-6 months from 2.5-5 months and processing dates from December 10, 2017. How have they gone back on almost 1 month worth of cases?? I am able to contact somebody to help speed up my case and how would I go about doing it? To me it seems like they can just change the cases dates and estimated times as they please.. when they get closer to my date again are they going to change it from 5-7 months and go back a month again? I don't understand how this works.....

Email from Ombudsman
Hey everyone. I received an email yesterday that said: "Thank you for contacting the Ombudsman’s Office. We have reviewed your request for case assistance and determined that USCIS recently issued a decision regarding the application/petition referenced in your request for case assistance. If you do not receive the decision within 15 days, please contact USCIS "

I received the EAD about a month ago. Is this in regards to the case itself? Does this mean I will be receiving the interview letter?

Thank you

Decision shortly
End of March, end of April, end of May, I received the same response "case under review, you should receive a decision shortly".

How long is shortly? These guys are abusing the English language. Seems like shortly is an open ended answer.

Next Step:- We will review your response to our request and mail you our decision
Guys I got an Rfe for i-485 and I sent them my required documents. I gave ombudsman a request for my application and got response from them saying a mail was sent to me.
I am wondering what this mail could be?

or

Is ombudsman referring to the same Rfe that was sent to me lately? Does Ombudsman office send the latest updates from USCIS?

Update: Status change to 'ready to shcedule inerview'
Hi guys,

As it turns out. After having sent a response two weeks ago for a RFE to my I-485 application. My status changed this morning to 'ready to be schedule for an interview'. That is a step and I am happy about it. But I can't help wondering WHERE IS MY EAD? haha

Do you know (from experience) if I should receive an EAD update soon?
And, should I contact my congressman again? Because I feel like a this point, if my file is complete and ok to get an interview, there is no reason for my EAD no to be approved soon.

Thanks!
