Interview scheduled, no EAD
I have been reading for a couple of months and it's very calming to know that I'm not alone in this anxiety-filled process.
I'm married to USC, currently on H1B and submitted all documents in 11/03/2017,had biometrics early December, RFE for I-864 which we replied to 01/09/18. Raised first SR for EAD via phone on 04/24/18 and online 05/09/18. Got generic response that an officer had been assigned to my case and 05/22/18 got notice on I-485 for scheduling interview. I haven't received EAD and I live in Dallas so I'm wondering if anyone has had this timeline without receiving EAD?
I'm super excited and nervous at the same time though my husband thinks I need to calm down.

EAD Successfully Expedited

Hi, I am from NYC, marriage based C9, AOS January filler. First time post.

PD: I-485 /I-130/ I-765: January 23th 2018.
Biometrics done: February 28th 2018.

Here is my timeline for EAD, I used a incorrect form on the I-765, so I had to resend it on:

* 02/20/2018: We received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.
* 05/02/2018: Expedited request on I-765. Called USCIS (Based on financial loss and posible job offer), they gave me a referral number and told me I had to wait 5 days to had a response.
* 05/04/2018: On May 4, 2018, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxxx.
* 05/04/2018: Received Email from USCIS to request for evidence. (What I send was: a cover letter explaining my situation, an email for a posible contractor, just a email. In that email they were requesting me for an interview and in addition also add a past due bill of our car loan to prove our financial situation, and that’s all. I sent these documents at the fax number they gave me in the email. I try to faxed them 3 times, but only 1 was delivered. (They’d never confirm me that they received). Note: I used an application for IPhone to send the fax called QUICK FAX.
* 05/15/2018: On May 15, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxxx, was assigned to an officer for response.
* 05/15/2018: On May 15, 2018, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxxx.
* 05/15/2018: On May 15, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxxx, was completed. “Then this day I received another email and said this: We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly. Then on the 21st, I could saw that my case estatus change at https://egov.uscis.gov, showing this status above and in the case tracker app was update. “

05/21/2018: New Card Is Being Produced

On May 21, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC1890xxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
to give us your new mailing address.

The new website changes status today may 22nd to new card is being produced, but the change was on the 21st. So I recommend to have an active account on the 2 websites and the app.

Also, I did not contact ombudsman or senator, I just made the expedite request and wait for the process. I know is hard to wait, but we have to be patient. The expedite took about two or three weeks since you made it.

Now waiting to have my card on hands. No updates on I485-I130. I did no apply for AP.

Thanks to all of you because this forum helps me a lot. With this experiences I could made my request and it was successful.

If you have any questions, here am I.

Good luck everyone.

USCIS Website Reliability
Hi, my EAD card went into "production" on 5/17 and was "approved" on 5/18, but since then there haven't been any updates on whether the card has been mailed or not.

Here's my timeline:

5/17: Card went into production - reported on both egov.uscis.gov (instantly) and myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov (early morning of 5/18)

5/18: Approved - reported only on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov (early morning of 5/19)

5/21: Received approval letters for EAD & AP in the mail

Looking at historic data and some recent cases here it appears that -

1 - The card is generally received exactly a week after going into production. For that to happen, in my case the card should have been mailed on 5/21 or 5/22 (today)

2 - There's a delay in updating the online status to "mailed". In the below linked cases, the users received their cards exactly a day after it was reported to be "mailed". USPS isn't that quick, so there must be a delay in USCIS' reporting?
Example Case 1: https://www.immihelp.com/experience/312831-Dont-Give-Up-Your-Time-Will-Come.html
Example Case 2: https://www.immihelp.com/experience/312980-Finally-Received-EAD.html

Is my understanding correct? My start date for work is quickly approaching, so getting a little anxious here

USCIS data
Looking at USCIS data published on May 1st. It does seem like they are processing EADs at a fast rate.
https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-all-uscis-application-and-petition-form-types

This begs the question, why are they holding some of our applications this long then?
