EAD Renewals Vs. First Time Applicants
do you guys know if the EAD/AP renewals take longer than inital EAD/AP applications? Or the other way around? or are they the same,? maybe it just depends when you submit we all just get in a line and wait regardless of if it it renewal or first time. But just curious about the timing. I am waiting on a renewal, trying to manage expectations.

Hello everyone.
Another average joe here looking for answers. Has anybody who filed in November 22 or after received their work permit yet ? My Fingerprint appointment was on Dec 26 and in two days i.e 03.26.2018 it will be 90 days since then. I got the preliminary receipts that says we are processing this and that. Yet nothing more than that. I filed them after i married my wife who is a citizen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ombudsman
220 days plus have passed since PD. Many SRs have been filed. I contacted ombudsman 2weeks ago and finally informs me that USCIS expedites my case today (March 20). They will notify their decision by the end of March. But I need EAD card by the end of March. Are there any ways to have them produce it by this coming weekend? How many days does USCIS need to notify their decision, since they were contacted by an Ombudsman? Sorry for this silly question.

Hey everyone
It’s been 5 months already from my Pd . I got all receipts and approved recipt for my Ead in December but my status never changed online and I didn’t get approval Ead notice with tracking number so I was just waiting and raised SR and as they told my EAD was approved and mailed me January 3 but they messed up with adress that’s why I never got my work autorotation. So I have to did inquiry again to remail my Ead. Still waiting for respond . Online status is still case was received . So sad ...

C9. NBC Feb 27 2017. 4 months later, RFE received in June 2017 (Clock restarted to Zero).
Replied RFE on July 14th therefore today is day 250 and counting...
180 days EAD extension expired on December 2017 (Lost my job in a fortune 500 company, lost health insurance, lost drivers licence...Lost my work friends...Lost piece of my mind)
My lawyer contacted USCIS multiple times(generic response), Congressman contacted USCIS (generic response), Ombudsman contacted USCIS (generic response),raised multiple SR(generic response).
My USC wife is expecting in May and she lost insurance coverage through my work.
Hurry up and wait fellows!!! Under the new administration USCIS doesn't give a fuck!!!

Address Change?
Does anyone know what happens if you need to change your address? Does this significantly delay everything? We have to move the first week of April and I feel like we are so close to hearing news about the EAD.. been waiting 115+ days... Should we change the address now? or wait til the first week of April?

Does anyone know can we apply for a new job while waiting for EAD, with this new 180 days extension period.
What do we need to show to our new employer to prove that we can legally work in USA?
Is there any paper or we need to request something?
I live in Virginia - Washington DC. Immigration got my paperwork back in Nov. 2.2017. still nothing, still waiting, almost 150 days. In the mean time, I got a really good job, that's why this is so much important to me, like for all of us here!

Still waiting for my EAD of a pending I-485
After my I-130 was approved and my case before IJ was terminated in Court, my wife and I filed our I-485 along with my EAD application with receipt date of July 28, 2017. I’m category (c9).
Fingerprints done on August 14, 2017 and since then nothing. Waiting and waiting, even we asked for an expedite request. We got a notice mid-December to send evidence to support our expedite request. Said letter arrived by mail (date stamped January 2, 2018). We submitted the medical records supporting our expedite request. Nothing! I followed many times and contacted with Tier 2 officers. I have received many explanations. It is UNDER REVIEW. Other one said that it is in the line to be processed. Another one said it might be waiting the fingerprints check. How come you receive different answer on the status of my EAD. Based on this forum, I wrote to the Ombudsman 2 weeks ago. I received receipt from them of my online request. Hopefully, Ombudsman can provide me an update.
I hope you fellow readers can help me figure out how to address this delay from USCIS-NBC.
