Finally My Wife's EAD Was Approved After 5 Months
So finally, after submitting my wife's EAD renewal back at the very end of October, my wife's EAD Renewal was renewed.

Today she received the renewal notice in the mail, with the card to set to be mailed this week.

Just for reference, her timeline looked like so:

Oct 19th 2017 - I-765 Renewal mailed to CSC
Oct 25th 2017 - Application Received by CSC
Oct 30th 2017 - Receipt Notice received
Jan 24th 2017 - First SR raised online
Jan 27th 2017 - SR answered - within normal processing time
Feb 8th 2017 - Notice received that case was transferred to new office (Vermont)
Feb 20th 2017 - Request Raised with Ombudsman for information on case
March 3rd 2017 - Ombudsman accepted request and reached out USCIS for information
March 14th 2017 - Ombudsman makes 2nd request to USCIS for information related to case
March 19th 2017 - Renewal approval notice arrive via mail.

So it took 5 months to the exact day for my wife to receive her renewal notice. It's absolutely insane to think that processing times have now pushed out that far, just relieved that she can now no longer worry regarding her status. We don't look forward to going through all this again when i renew my E3 visa at the end of the year.

Good luck to you all i hope you receive your EAD's in the mail shortly!

H4 EAD Filed 11th December, got approved today !
Hi All,

First of all thank you all for sharing your experiences. it really helped to get some idea on how things were going for others. I will share my experience.

1. We filed H4 EAD for my wife on the 12/11 via an Attorney.
2. USCIS received it on 12/12
3. No updates on the site at all for last 3 months
4. Raised SR on 3/9. The officer listened to us patiently and asked us to explain why we want to know the update of the application. Wife said she is not able to find work (she yet to get a job) since she doesn't have EAD and that's a potential money loss. We didn't understand how to frame it but she managed to explain her inability to start work since there is no EAD. The officer was very cooperative and explained to us what will happen next.
5. Got the EAD card in mailbox today morning and it had dispatch date of 12th March (Exactly 90 days after it reached USCIS) !

honestly speaking I was expecting more delay because of the general delay that's going around but I must say we were lucky to get it on time.

I would also say the same that everyone else says that keep faith and keep reading information about EAD processing in general.

our center was Vermont.

Filed Dec 1, 2017 Approved
Hi all,

Praise Jesus I was finally approved today. NBC, C9.

December 1, 2017 - Filed NBC

December 8, 2017 - Receipt

December 28, 2017 - Biometrics

75 days - service request; no answer.

90 days - service request and request to expedite - answer "Your case is currently under review".

March 20, 2018 - "We are producing your card and will mail it to you."

Couple things others may find useful - this was updated on the my.uscis.gov website; but not on the website. And my immigration lawyer said he is signed up for emails and did not notice either. So this website is much faster.

Two; the my.uscis.gov website emailed me that there was a change to my status - had I known we get emailed, I wouldn't have kept checking every 2 hours. The email came at 6:30 a.m. for what it's worth (Eastern Time).

Also, I filed Ombudsman request about 10 days ago - and just got first email that they received my request; and I contacted Senator at 75 days - but as of last week they didn't have any info from USCIS because they needed my country of origin so I don't think either one did anything - but who knows.

Good luck to all you and god bless - I will update when I receive my Card.

EAD card pending 5 mths
I put in my GC application in the first week of Oct 2017, performed fingerprinting within 1 month and received I797 for EAD approval in Jan 2018. However the card was never printed. After several case requests, I was finally told that the fingerprinting information was never transferred over to the I-765 EAD request. I was told to wait and get in touch with them again in 3 weeks.
Has anyone had a similar experience, and any tips on how to get the issue resolved?

send job offer as evidence
I had raised a request to expedite the EAD process over phone. I waited one week and didn't received the letter from USCIS asking me for send additional evidence such as job offer, financial loss. Then i called USCIS to check the status on expedite request, the lady on the phone told me a letter has been send to me asking for evidence. she gave me fax number and reference number where i can fax the job offer. I send fax same day. But after 4 days i got the letter from USCIS asking me to send additional evidence such as job offers. on the letter it was mention to send back a copy of their correspondence.

I don't know if i need to send the fax again. what is best thing to do now. Please anyone has any idea what will happen if USCIS receive the Fax without the copy of their correspondence.

EAD received
Hi all,

After a long and painful wait (150 days) I just received my EAD approval notice. Application was at Vermont, A18 new EAD, PD Oct 18th. Just as everyone here I did service requests, congressman and ombudsman and pretty much anything else available..

Strongly recommend reaching out to congressman and ombudsman as the approval notice arrived 17 days after reaching out to both of them and 10 days after I received confirmation from ombudsman that they had reached out to USCIS on my behalf.

Good luck all

EAD renewal for J-2
Hi Everyone,

I decided to share my experience with you all, since this forum was very helpful to me.

I am a J-2 visa holder, applying for a EAD renewal.

12/08/2017 Case sent to USCIS Dallas,

12/14/2017 Case received by USCIS Potomac
02/09/2018 Due to a change in my DS2019, I have sent a letter and a copy of my new form to USCIS, this was added to my case.
02/28/2018 Opened a service request
03/08/2018 scheduled an appointment at the closest USCIS office – Was informed to wait 30 more days for the case to be evaluated.
03/08/2018 opened a request with Ombudsman Office
03/09/3018 because I was about to loose my job ( my old EAD would expire on 03/14) I contacted both a congressman and a Federal Senator. Both opened requests for my case.
03/13/2018 case approved, card sent to production
03/15/2018 Card mailed
03/19/2018 Card received.

My case took around 92 days, but I would say that contacting the Congressman and the Senator was very helpful. I would also recommend signing up for the USCIS Myaccount (https://my.uscis.gov/account/).

Good luck to you all.

Case assigned to officer
Hi everyone,

PD: 10/02/2017
Bio: 11/06/2017
NBC
I360,i485,I765 was all filled at the same time.

Never heard anything else since fingerprint. Today i was going to contact ombudsman but i thought of calling USCIS first, i was able like to get on the phone with someone and she told me she was going to forward my call to a T2 officer. She did but the system said they was going to call me back and I’m glad they did in time. The T2 officer told me my case has been assigned to an officer at NBC and i should hear back from them soon, he also said he saw the SR i raised online on last Friday.

My question is should i still go ahead and contact ombudsmen and how long does it usually takes when they say case has been assigned to an officer. Does this mean I’m getting my EAD soon ?

Thanks all and i really appreciate your help.

2)As they issued me an RFE would my PD remain the same?
3)Gave 2 SR but they didnt even assign any, Should i contact ombudsman,is it a right thing to do in my situation?

Got my EAD CARD
Hello everyone
PD: 9/18/2017
Biometric: 11/6/2017
Married to a USC ( c9)

3/12/18 approved
3/13/18 cars produced
3/15/18 card mailed
3/19/18card arrived ( finally )

I raised my expedit requests before but unfortunately none of them was helpful. As of today, when I looked up the old uscis case status website, it says received blah blah but the new website for uscis says card mailed. The new website shows update of my case almost everyday as they updat it but the old one is not updated at all. One more thing, the new website shows different received date but it don't really care as long as I got the EAD card. Anyways thank you everyone for sharing your stores, they helped me a lot somehow and wish all of you to get your card as soon as possible
