Oct 18 VSC L2 EAD
Hi guys,

This forum was extremely helpful. Sharing my experience if it helps someone.
My application was at Vermont Service Center , PD of October 18th. Raised 4 SRs, congressman, senator, ombudsman everyone after it crossed 120 days timeline. In my case only ombudsman was helpful. I reached out to them on 27th Feb and case got assigned to officer on 1st March, approver on 19th and received today. Looks like they make a decision typically within 3 weeks after an officer is assigned on the case. Good luck to all reading here!!

L2 EAD Renewal/Dec 2017 Filer /A18/Vermont Service Center
Hi All,

I want to share my experience regarding L2 EAD Renewal. My EAD was expiring on 24- Mar-2018

Here is my Timelines :

13-Dec-2017 : Applied
14-Dec-2017 : Received by USICS (Notice of Action)
06-Mar-2018 : First SR Raised On 82 Day
14-Mar-2018 : Response updated on Portal "The Processing of your Application is within our Current Processing Time"
16- Mar-2018 : Contacted Congressman
16-Mar-2018 : USCIS Portal Updated that "We are producing your card and will mail it to you".
(But it was updated on Portal on 20th March ) (92 Days)
20-Mar-2018 : "We Approved your Case" (96 Days)
21-Mar-2018 : "We mailed your card to you. The U.S. Postal Service will deliver it" (97 Days)

22-Mar-2018 - I received the Card.

Points to Note :

1. I highly recommend to use the Website : https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/.Create an account to track your status. It helped me a lot on my Case Update.

Older website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) still says "My case was received ". It doesn't update the status even though i have received the Card. But it has all the information about the SR's raised. So you can create accounts on both the website and use it accordingly.

2. Raise SR's after 75 days which will help while contacting Congressman and Ombudsman subsequently.

3. I contacted congressman and on the same day My EAD Card approved . So not sure in my case whether it helped.

 Regards,
SS

L2 / EAD / Processing times
Hello everyone,

I would like to know if you have any update on EAD renewal processing times for L2-visas. Mine is being processed in California office.

The process I have gone has been pretty frustrating and I fear losing my current job.

- Current EAD expiration date: 3/08/18

- On December 15, 2017, USCIS received my Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization EAD.

- 2/28/18 I submitted a SR to expedite the process under Economic / Financial loss for myself and my company. They replied 3/5/17 requesting additional documentation that was submitted the same day 3/5/18 via fax. They told me sending the expedite request may take them 30 additional days to review but would not have impact on the current processing times

- I didn’t hear back from USCIS and on day 90(3/15/18) I was told I could submit another SR given they were out of the normal processing time. I was told I have to wait for their response.

- 3/16/18 I received an email from USCIS where they said the case was under normal processing time.

- Have called multiple times since then and now I am told I have to wait additional 30 days in order to be able to rise another service request.

I have been put on unpaid leave of absence since 3/8/18 in order to be complaint and I really relay on my current salary and this situation has been extremely frustrating for me and my family. They will save my spot in the office for a little bit more but if nothing is solved I will be forced to leave.
I was able to schedule and info pass meeting for 4/3/18. Is there any success story by doing this? Any particular or additional documentation that I should take with me to the appointment?
I have a couple questions I would like you input on:

- What has been the processing time for L2 EAD renewals from California office?

- Is EAD extension valid until the Visa is valid or the last I-94?
Additionally, last week I just got my Visa renewed 5 more years and I am concerned about filing a new EAD.

- Is this current EAD going to have expiration date with my current Visa? Or would it have the expiration date of the visa information with which I initially submitted the application? (Visa or I-94?)

- In case current EAD dates is based on that was submitted in December and given the extra-long processing times. Should I start applying for a new EAD with my new Visa and I-94 information now? Or would it delay, cancel the current EAD process?

I would appreciate your experiences and suggestions on this matter. I am extremely nervous and frustrated.

This case will be Routed for Expedited processing
Hey guys , did anyone dealt with EAD Expedited Processing at NBC/MSC?
Just got this "reassurance" from my local congressman office via email from NBC.
PD 10/10/17
RFIE 2/28/18 (asked me for something that was originally included in October package).
Multiple SR, ombudsman, congressman, etc in between. Still not approved to date.
Category C18.
It's so strange to call it expedited when I have applied 6 months ago (can't do it earlier than that)...
Unreal, so frustrating, losing my job on 3/29/18.
MAGA? Please share

Ead approved but no card production yet?
Hey guys,

My i765 was approved last week about 7 days ago. But so far no notification about card being ordered or in production. Do you know about this?

I saw a few people when this happened had to wait 30+ 60+ days. I certainly don't wanna wait that much after 7 months wait time for initial approval.

Any thoughts?

RFE
Just recieved an website notification saying they need more from me. Request for evidence. What could they posssibly need more from a family based AOS. The rfe was for i485.

When will the mail arrrive about RFE after being notified online?
Will it delay the ead trumendously?
What could it be, since it’s family based and professionally filed by my lawyer?
(Btw she’s actually pretty good at her job unlike some of people’s, based on how they describe theirs)
