My happy day is here. This forum gave me hope and kept me going in my hard times so here is my timeline
Case received on 5th October 2017
6 SR's and 3 calls to USCIS customer care were utterly useless.
Contacted ombudsman of 24th Feb 2017
Contacted senator and congressman on 24th Feb 2017
7th March 2017 got a reply from senator as well as ombusdman that they inquired and recommended my case and I should receive a decision in 10 days.
8th march -> new card being produced.
My suggestion is don't keep waiting, do your best to get in contact with senators of your state and congressman of your area. Contact ombudsman and keep following up with everyone.
I hope you all get your card soon.

So I got this in response to contacting the ombudsman...what does it mean by "under active review"?
In response to our inquiry, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicated that your case is under active review. However, USCIS is unable to provide a specific timeframe for resolution of the case.
Does it mean the officer is looking at it?

Hello Everyone,
I just recently joined this discussion forum after reading everyone's experiences with hope to get some help
I am looking to get some suggestions to contact USCIS as its been almost 140 days and have not received any responses on SRs and no Case updates online.
Anyone in same boat and tried anything to contact USCIS please share your actions and outcomes

AOS married to LPR
Priority Date: July 2016
PD: OCT 19/17 for I765 (C09) and I-131
PD: OCT 30/17 for I485 AOS
Biometrics completed: Nov 22/17 and 12/17
Raised 1 SR online: January/2018 No Response
Called Customer Service and they raised 2nd SR No Response in Feb 2018
Raised another SR online: March 2018 No Response
Case Status: Not Changed after receiving case and currently it is not assigned for processing.
I contacted my lawyer and they just mentioned that contacting Ombudsman is of no use as your application is within timeframe of processing as NBC is currently processing Before and October 1st 2017 applications.
I am not sure if I should go ahead and contact Ombudsman as I am concerned if it will push my application in pending requests queue further delaying the process.

Long wait for EAD
I have applied EAD , Nebraska center on Nov-17 , Biometrics received on Dec-26. First SR requested on Mar-03 still there is no update on service request or EAD ..

Still no updates for us. 2 weeks to get info pass appointment (currently scheduled on March 22).
SR - no update. Last update on Feb 5 case assigned to officer.
Anybody here who filled in Oct and got the card already from Vermont SC? Any advice?

EAD A18 VSC, October filer
Hi Everyone,
I have been waiting for this agony to end from 130+ days. My timeline and updates are as follows:
PD: Oct 24,2017
Center: Vermont
EAD: I-765, a new application
Raised 1 SR (90th days) and 1 Expedited SR(100th day): Both closed with a standard reply that they cannot commit to the timeline
Infopass appointment 1, Feb 23: Immigration officer confirmed that case was assigned to an officer on Feb 9, 2018, and raised expedite request to look into the case.
Request to Congressman: Received standard reply from USCIS that they are processing Sep 18 cases and will get to my case later on.
Raised Ombudsman Request, March 5: In progress
Infopass appointment 2, March 7: Immigration official confirmed that case was assigned to an officer on March 1, 2018 (Not sure what is going on)
I am not sure what security checks are carried on by USCIS, but I have stayed in Europe and South Africa for 2 years before coming to the US and my L1 blanket visa was denied last year. Has anyone else with the similar case has faced issue with I-765 approval?

Hi everybody,
Not to be a Debbie Downer again but I just got hit
with a RFE after waiting patiently for 7 months. I'm
devastated, I don't even know what type of evidence
they need. I'll have to wait to get it in the mail to find out.
I cannot believe this is happening,please can anyone
tell me if the clock gets reset after they receive the evidence?
It's a request for my I.485 so does it mean my EAD won't be issued
until that gets approved?
I didn't seek the help of Ombudsman in fear they might ask me
for one , still it didn't change anything. I did call many times due to being
eager to work and get out if this room my husband and I live in.
Today is my mother's 78 th birthday so it's been really hard.
Thank you for your help.
I hope none of you go through what I have to endure.
God puts us to test every day, if I didn't Jesus in my life, I would
not be able to cope.

Hi guys,
After several attempts and request for to expedite my case through sanetor and Ombud'sman. I got Ref for tax return statement which i had submitted already when i sent my package to them.
PD:- NOV-15-2017
REF : FEb-27-2018
Took almost a week to got REf on hand by mail.
Send REF respond overnight through FEDEX 5-March-2018.. It was confirmed and Delivered at Morning.
I am awaiting for response that they received my Ref or not. I even called customer service , They are useless always read the guidelines without giving any suggestion.Please allow blah blah 60 days.. AS **** *
Does it indicate that they will delay my ead or should i have to contact any with ombusman or sanete.
I am really pissed with this processing after awaiting for almost 4 months. I am this situation, Anyway has same issue..
