EAD L2 renewal VSC approved
Hi,
Celebration is going on in my house!
A18 renewal case received on Oct 20 at VSC and I-797 received later on.
SR 1st on Jan 29, in line for processing
SR 2nd on Feb 22, still reviewing your case
Mar 5 status changed to "New card is being produced"
It took 136 days so far. Hopefully there will be no delays in mailing and I will receive it by the end of week. Don't loose hope and fully use opportunity to apply 180 days before expiry!! I did 151 day before.

EAD renewal - Category A18 - Vermont
After reading below nehag's experience (140+ days waiting..) I lost complete hope that my EAD will get approved anytime soon but surprisingly it got approved today (on Sunday!) after 88 days of waiting..

L2 EAD Card
I wanted to share my experience as this site kept me going and its my turn to contribute
I am on L2 Visa, applied for EAD card Category A18 on 10/10/2018. After a long wait of 140+ days, I have received my EAD card on 28th Feb which is also my birthday. Its one of my best birthday gift ever. I can't thank god enough for this gift.
Here are my timelines
- 10/12/17 USCIS Vermont received my application
- 1/04/18 raised service request by calling customer service (post 75 days) - got a standard response
- 02/08/18 raised another service request by calling customer service - Received response that my case is currently delayed due security checks. This made me extremely nervous as they have not given any timelines in the response
I started to look for an option to reach out to USCIS through Infopass but didn't get any open appointment slot
I lost all hope and had no other option but to wait, finally on 26th Feb my case status got changed to "New Card issued" and on 28th Feb i have got my card through mail
I wish everyone all the best for their cases.

AOS based on marriage, concurrent filing.
11/06/2017 - received I 765
01/16/2018 i-797 approval for EAD & travel document
02/03/2018 raised a SR for not receiving the actual card.
The service center is National Benefit Center.
It's been almost 1.5 month since i received the approval notice, but never got the card.
I tried calling the customer support center, but the lady on the other end of the phone told me that there's nothing she can do, and only option is to wait at least 60 days before raising an SR.
Any suggestions?

Recived a RFE for InitalOPT

Case status - Case has been received
For - Initial OPT
After waiting for 102 days, i finally called USCIS to check on my case, the level 2 officer told me there has been a RFE generated against my case and told me that mail has been sent to you, i am still yet to receive the mail as it take 5-7 days to get delivered. i already have an job offer, i am assuming it must be some documentation issue. Does anyone has been in the same situation if yes, then how much time it took to process your case after you sent your RFE response ?

EAD expedite request supporting letter
Hello,
I have raised EAD expedite request with USCIS with reason "severe financial loss to individual". Today i received an email asking for supporting evidence.
I can submit offer letter. Along with that I am planning to attach an explanation letter. Can someone help with a sample letter ? Or what should I mention in the supporting letter?

Assigned and responded: February 12 “your case is being reviewed. You will receive response shortly”
Online request to Ombudsman - February 15
2nd SR raised: February 21
Response from Ombudsman that they have reached out: February 22nd
New card is being produced: March 2nd
Also talked to L2 officer twice. One was helpful, another one felt like he is guessing.
Made an appointment for infopass for March 15 (anyone knows how to cancel this?)
To summarize: reach out to Ombudsman! I haven’t even attached any documents, just provided the receipt numbers for the case and SR. It took Ombudsman 7 days to get to my case and reach out. After that only 8 days later card is being produced.
So happy I wanna cry :) thanks to everyone on this forum, I found out what to do here. Best of luck to everyone still waiting!
