Notice after Ead Card
Hey guys I just wanted to know if there is a notice that comes in the mail you’re suppose to get before your ead card stating that it was approved or something... because I received my card yesterday and usps informed delivery told me that I have mail from uscis .. I’m thinking it might be the approval notice that’s a bit late or interview notice maybe? Please let me know if any of you received an approval letter before or after the Ead Card. (It’s not a RFE because I already submitted what they asked for form 1485)

New card is being produced
Hey guys,

This forum has been so helpful and kept me sane for the last few weeks so here is little bit of my timeline till i got my notice for “new card being produced.”

OPT F1 based filer -> I-765, I-131, I-485. Receipt received on 10/31/17.
Case approved and nee card is being produced 1/31/18. I filed my case with a lawyer. Did not raise any service requestnor contacted the customer center. Took 93 days for the notice update to show online.

I will update once i receive the cardnin hand.

EB3 change of status from H1B
This forum has been helpful, so I'm sharing my experience.

Concurrent filed in August, Nebraska center.

01/24/2018 - new card being produced (for H1 and Wife H4)

"January 29, 2018, we mailed your new card"

These are two EAD cards (AP still pending, so not a combo card) Look like they are still processing AP only upto Aug 16.

Probably around 165 days from filing to card in hand.

Spoke to a couple of tier two support officers, very friendly and helpful, I'd expect my 485 to be reviewed in August at this rate.

Just happy that my wife finally has an EAD now, we'd expected it to take 90 days, it was a painful wait.

"new card being produced" happened the day after my first call with a tier two officer, could be a coincidence, or perhaps it helped...

New card is on the way
Hey everyone,

I can’t wait till tomorrow to write you, I wanted to share with you this .

Yesterday, before going to sleep i prepared the documents to contact an ombudsman and to send a new service request but I said I will wait till the 31, January really ends because they were supposed to reply my SR on 31 January..
I woke up and found this..

New Card Is Being Produced
On January 31, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC **** **** ** , and will mail it to the address you gave us.

For people who doesn’t know me, I filed EAD based on a pending i-485 from NY to Chicago center.
We filed i-485/i-765/i-130 on 10/16/2017
I raised a SR on 01/09/2018
And just now I received the update..

I was reading yesterday here that one talked to an officer and they started working on September and October cases, I think he’s right..

So what’s next guys ?? How long I need to receive it? You think I shouldn’t be so optimistic? It might be so late??

My service center is?
I applied OPT F1 visa based.
Received Nov 3
New Card being produced Jan 29
Nothing further.

Question. I sent my application to Lewisville in Texas but my receipt begins YSC, does that mean my service center is Potomac?

Thanks!

Figured out the Obvious

This is exactly what's going on at NBC .. This is my analysis after reading hundreds of posts and talking to these L1 and L2s.

Most, if not all the applications are categorized by categories. Thousands. And each split into groups and are evaluated at separate stages per category per group.

If you are lucky you are in a stack where the applications in yours are easy to get through. Hence the reason why some people in October are approved and some people in August are not.

If you are unlucky, then you are in a group where an application before yours is kind of messed up and will require WEEKS to process before they even look at yours..

So when they show the September 1 Category, that just means that the earliest that they are processing at one of the groups at the NBC..it might be they are the majority early groups.

If you are an August filer, its because you are in MESSED up group.

THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU ARE IN A MESSED UP GROUP OR NOT. The officer told me it all depend on how fast the applications in your groups are going.

It is pointless really comparing your application to one at another CENTER.. ITS IS COMPLETELY FUTILE AND A WASTE OF TIME.

It is also a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME to compare your Application at NBC to another application at NBC because chances are, you're not even in the SAME STACK.

Unfortunately i am at 107 days and may have to wait for about 70 more days or more for my application to be even looked at because I have deduced that I am in a slow group

90 days processing time is now garbage they dont go by it. You will be lucky to even get an EAD card now within 6 months which absolutely negates the purpose of an EAD if you applied for a green card.

Bottom line is? Thank Donald Trump for this utter mess that he has put us all in.

19 days since approval but no card
Hi Everyone,

Thanks a lot for sharing your case details, it helps a lot to understand current wait times. Here is my situation, status changed from "received your application" to "card being produced" on Jan 12, and no changes thereafter. Reading similar forums tell me, if your status directly changes to "card being produced" instead of first changing to "we approved your petition", you are going to face delay. It has been 19 days, I got shortlisted for a job, where I applied after approval letter, which I received in 4 days. Losing hope each day, waiting for a miracle to happen.

The first line is my previous post. So guys, i have already 4 months waiting for my work permit. Today I went to the immigration office to find out whats going on. The personal told me that the process is very slow nowadays, so 4 month is still normal processing time, i have to wait a bit more. She was very nice with me. she also fill a report to rush my case so in the next weeks, I suppose to get a letter from the center in charge my case to let me know more about the process and to boost it.
Is there anyone who have filled on SEPTEMBER 2017????? Please tell me your experience

EAD October 2017
10-23-17 Filed a 1-765 based on pending 1-485 Category C-9 since my husbands DACA was
                   about to expire.
12-28-17 We requested the 1-765 be expedited since my husband was going to lose his job as
soon as his DACA expired. (12-30-17)
01-9-18 Received a letter asking us to fax information for the expedite. We responded within a week.
1-31-18 Request to have case expedited was assigned to an office for a response
1-31-18 We sent a response to your request to have your case expedited.
1-31-18 Request to have case expedited was completed

I checked my email and it says "We received your request to expedite the decision of your application. You will received a decision or notice of further action shortly".

Any October 23 filers receive their EAD already? Any advise on what the response means? Was the expedite approved or denied?
