After a LONG wait!
I filed for the EAD 08/28/17
Notification they we're going to use past biometrics 09/15/17
Then I called, the day 75, and the day 90. Nothing happened so I created an inquiry
11/16/17 (Day 91) nothing happened.
I called again, talk to a level 2 officer, really nice person, told him about my concerns. He told me, there's nothing that anyone can do but wait. Time processing table is in the website, BUT, those times are estimates.
So I created another inquiry
12/27/18 (Day 121)
In January 1st. I checked the processing times tables, and EAD, showed 06/03, mine was 08/28, so I decided to stop giving that much attention to this. Checked occasionally (Once a week), and of course NOTHING.
01/13/18 (Day 138) I received a notification in my e-mail, that the first inquiry that I generated, was answered and assigned to an officer. But, it basically said: CASE UNDER REVIEW, Working On it.
I was afraid, didn't know what to expect, UNDER REVIEW? That sounds pretty bad. Whatever, I just continued my life.
Last week on Wednesday 01/31/18 (Day 156) I received on my E-mail, the notification saying "YOUR NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED"
and last Night, (02/02/18) (Day 158) Notification that it was Mailed to me.

For those looking for updates on L2 based cases, mine was received Oct. 16 in VSC. Didn't hear a word until today, status changed to "New card being produced."

I'm afraid of contacting Congressman in fear of upsetting anyone and

Called USCIS today
Hi everyone!
I just called uscis regarding my application. I filed my last november 17,2017. Unfortunately, it’s still not being processed. The officer just told me to wait 3-6 mos for it. This is really a test of patience.

For those who contacted ombudsman, how long they took to answer something? Does it work?
I contacted ombudsman today and received an email saying that they will answer in 45 business day, I would like to know if they answer before that time.

OPT STEM extension approval
Hi all,
I had applied my OPT stem extension on 11/10/2017. it has been 84 days but the status of the case didn't change. Raised SR on 75th day. Got response on 27th saying that case is still with an officer fro review.
I need to travel to India on 23th feb because of emergency and my current EAD is going to expire on Feb 5th 2018. Can we travel to India during this situation? Please suggest

EAD card not received.
Hello everyone,
I had applied for my EAD card on the 10/10/2017. The date it was received was 12/12.
As of today, it has been 115 days since it has been received. I have still not got the EAD card. The status update shows that it has been approved on the 12th of January and it is being processed.
My OPT start date was 12/20/2017. i already have a job in hand but i cannot start working just because i haven't received my EAD card. I raised a couple of service requests but no positive results. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
