110Days and about to lose both my Mind and new Job
Hi Guys ,
My job is in a different location as our house and I have my H1b now , have a 7 month old baby with whom i am travelling 10hrs each week . Becoming insane now ....

This is my Timeline :
PD : MAy 2016
Documents received : Oct 17 2017
Bio : Nov 8 2017
Job offer : 26th Dec 2017
SR 26th Dec 2017
Congressmen : 28th Dec 2017
Accepted expedite : 3rd Jan 2018

Then my status read :
"On January 24, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T **** **MSC, was completed."
Asked Congressman to get an update , this is what it read :

"Thank you for your follow-up inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter. Due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for this case type, there are numerous cases involving exigent or humanitarian issues already in the expedite queue, and we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the expedited review. The strict enforcement of the expedite criteria means that all cases sent for expeditious handling are urgent, and we assure you that this case will be adjudicated as soon as possible."

Anyone in the same situation please help

L2 EAD - Vermont Service Center
hi all

I wanted to know if anyone has their L2 EAD application pending at Vermont Service Centre.

my timeline :

PD: 7th Nov 2017
Received Date: 8th Nov 2017
USCIS receipt date : 13th nov 2017

Since then not heard of anything, no status change,
Mine is renewal and current EAD is expiring in 2 weeks. I might lose my job because of USCIS delay.

Anyone sailing in the similar boat like me?

Card is finally being produced
I’m one of the August filers (Aug 23 - Nebraska) and I just got an update that my card is being produced!

I did pretty much everything that I could to expedite the process, from raising SR, infopass appointment, and seeking case assistance from Ombudsman. However, I don’t think any of the above helped at all. (At least in my case) I guess they are now finally working on cases dated back in late August.

E3 EAD Renewal
Hey there everyone,

First of all i want to thank you for sharing all your experiences, both good and bad. This forum has become my main hub of information when it comes to dealing with these EAD delays & it has helped me out immensely in dealing with the stress of waiting for my wife's EAD renewal.

So here's my timeline:

Oct 19th 2017 - Mailed wife's I-765/EAD Renewal in, to be received by the California Service Center
Oct 25th 2017 - Application was received by USCIS
Oct 30th 2017 - Notice of receipt arrived via mail.
Jan 24th 2017 - 1st Service Request raised via USCIS website
Jan 27th 2017 - 1st Service Request answered by USCIS - who say that application is still within normal
processing time & that CSC is currently only processing applications from August 1st.

I am confused by the answer to the service request stating that it is still within the normal times for processing this application. It's currently 102-days waiting for her renewal to be processed, and i was of the belief that once it went outside 90-days waiting, that would be considered outside the normal processing times. Can someone please confirm this for me?

I am wondering what our next best course of action should be - does anyone think it would be worthwhile contacting our congresswoman and asking them to assist us with contacting USCIS for an update? My wife's current EAD is due to expire soon & she currently has a great job with a fantastic company that she doesn't want to lose, due to waiting for this EAD renewal to be processed. So i want to do everything in my power to avoid this from happening.

Is it best to contact our congresswoman or our should i contact the ombudsman? If anyone has any advice on this, it would be very very much appreciated.

Trying not to lose my mind here.

Thanks in advance.

Opt ( I-765) finally approved after 95 days
I finally got my opt approved today. I filed October 26. I raised a service request Jan 16th, the service request was completed jann19th. Since then my status didn’t change. Today I got a text message then I went online and saw that my case had changed to card is being produced. It has been a long wait, and I was beginning to go crazy but I’m thankful to God for the good news. I wish every other person waiting good luck. It will come it’s just taking forever. Hang in there!

Waiting for my EAD made me believe in forever
Filed my I485, I130, I131, and I765 back in Oct 2, 2017 . Had my biometrics for i485 and i765 Nov. 6, 2017. It's been 118 days since.

I recently just contacted the congressman and I'm trying to figure out how to use the ombudsman. Thanks to this forum I would have never known such remedies.

Called USCIS several times, they said it was 90-120 days but when I called last Friday and spoke with L2, the officer said they were still processing applications from July 2017.

This wait has been really frustrating but knowing that I'm not alone kinda makes me at ease. Plus my paternity break has been extended with my 10-month son since I can't work by circumstance, both wife and son are US citizens. The wait has just been hard financially and psychology.

I765 - 6 months wait
Very long and frustrating process. I filed for I765, I131 & I485 in July 24th, 2017 and went for fingerprinting on Aug 21, 2017. Nothing till October, so filed SR request Oct 29th, 2017 response was to wait for 60 days. Status updated to New Card is Being Processed 1/26/2018.

My timeline

Hi,

I've been reading this a lot during my period of distress while waiting for the EAD.
Just wanted to give you guys another data point.

Filing from NYC, concurrent i-765, i-130, i-485. NBC service center.
Adjusting from L1-B, did have K1 approved before that though but my employer was a bit desperate so they arranged for me to work Oct-Dec 2017 on L1. Swedish citizen.

23 Oct: PD

20 Nov: took biometrics for i-765 (got the note a few weeks ealier)

9 Dec: yellow courtesy letter about they need i-693 (this was intenionally left out by me as per USCIS instructions)

13 Dec: biometrics for i-485 (note few weeks earlier)

9 Jan: 1st SR after 77 days

24 Jan: received Job offer in writing (one of the big banks)

24 Jan: went to congresswoman to inquiry about my case, added proof of job offer

24 Jan: added expedite request with USCIS per phone, stating financial loss and that I had written proof of job offer. My offer had pretty good salary, plus my wife that is my sponsor has become unemployed. Also stated something soft like we're crammed into her parents residence, where they already take care of their elderly grandmother etc.

26 Jan: Got email that following my expedite request they approved my i-765 on 24th Jan

26 Jan: Case status changed from "case received" to approved at 25th Jan.

Thus 95-96 days in total. Now waiting for the EAD.

I guess a combination of having good job offer while sponsor was unemployed, plus that they could probably see the written proof from congresswoman help them to accept this fast. And of course that it was >90 days (94). I'm assuming that's almost a requirement for them to do anything.

I ticked to get SSN in the i-765 form, I can let you know how fast I get the cards.

Finally I'm ready to get in the grind and sign my life away to this bank!

Let me know if you have questions.
