I have seen some people have waited and have been waiting 180 days for their work permit.. That won't be me. Already applying for work over seas. If i get a good offer I am out!! I won't even give it a second thought. The government can take the EAD/AP and Green Card and shove it up their asses.. I dont care anymore. If this is what they wanted well.. good job.you won!

Can I travel within the US with my EAD and State ID only????
Has anyone ever tried it?
My husband and I are about to go on vacation within the Us. The only IDs I have are my country's passport , EAD and Maryland state ID .
Are these enough for me to travel within the US?

Aug 4, 2017 Day 1 - Case Received
Day 90 - 1st SR (online) - Pending Security Check
Day 120 - 2nd SR(phone) - Pending Security Check
Day 135 - 3rd SR(online) - Case assigned to Officer. Response in 30 days
Day 137 - Senator office Inquiry - Pending Security Check
Day 138 - L2 Officer call - Confirmed Case assigned to officer
Day 146 - Expedite request via phone for financial hardship - No result; told expedite is for getting officer assigned, my case already with officer.
Day 150 - Current EAD expired. Unable to work
Day 157 - Contacted Ombudsman for expedite, under review
Day 167 - Ombudsman reply that they have asked USCIS for response. More wait ?
30 days also have passed and still no update. Wonder how long will an officer take. Spoke to L2 again yesterday and he mentioned security checks delayed my case. I feel all this is just excuses and they gave security check reason in my case. After I submitted my case, I went to my home country and got visa stamped in 5 days. I hear they do the same security check at visa stamping. hmm..
Thinking about EAD is so stressful. Don't want to think about the shutdown either. My last EADs from vermont center came in 60 and 45 days. now 168 days and counting.

180 days still waiting for EAD
Hi everyone! Any other recommendations on how can I follow up about my case? Been waiting 180 days for my EAD, raised 3 service requests, contacted the ombudsman, and haven't received any response.

I wonder why some people get their EAD approved faster than others. Do you guys think maybe more complicated cases take longer? Does USCIS wait for background checks results before approve EAD? They say it's taking 4 to 6 months at NBC but some of us get the EAD in 75 days; any thoughts?
