How to track EAD card without the tracking #
Hi everyone,
on August 3 my application was updated to "You card is being produced" then on August 7 it changed to "Your card was mailed" but no tracking number was provided and when I called USCIS they did not give me any information.
However, I found a useful way to track your card.

Simply go to www.USPS.com
Create an Account
go to "My USPS"
Sign up to get notifications whenever a shipment is being sent to you.

On August 8 I got a notification email that a shipment from Kansas MO is being sent to me from the USCIS office. And that the expected delivery date is August 10. So hopefully I will get it in 2 days.

August Fillers
Any NSC(Nebraska Service Center) & August Fillers, please share your experience!
I filed i-797(c(9) category) on 8/6/2017 and it is still pending. According this and other forums, it seems that some mid August fillers (even October fillers) started receiving their EAD. I don't know in what order they process.

GC EAD - 230 days
Filed GC under EB1(C) Category - Multinational Managers for I-140, I-485, I-765, I-485 (concurrent filing). Filed for my family of 4 (wife and 2 kids). It was sent to Nebraska (NBC) processing center.

Submitted - 31 May 2017
Receipt Notice - 08 June 2017
Biometrics - 11 August 2017

After filing a service request, wife and kids (they were on L2) got their GC EAD's on 14 Nov 2017 (after 5.5 months).

My case, however, did not move at all. There was this bizarre status message : "Name was Updated on 26 July" status. I tried finding out what this actually meant, but there was no convincing response from L1 or L2 level officers. They confirmed that my (rather long) name was correctly spelt, and that there was no RFE on my case.

I started getting agitated and tried every trick in the book - raised service requests on Nov 11, Dec 11, Jan 11. The response was always the same, that the case was yet to be assigned to an officer. I even wrote to a Congressman whose office wrote to them on my behalf. However, the response was still the same. Raised an ombudsman request through my attorney on 29-Dec-2017. Scheduled an InfoPass appointment on 16 January 2018. The InfoPass folks told me that on that morning, my case had finally moved to an "Expedite" status and that I should hear back from them within 30-45 days!!!

Today morning (18 Jan 2018), the status on my I-765 finally moved to "New Card is being Produced". I will now wait for the card to arrive in the mail.

The journey just to get the GC EAD approval notification took me about 230+ days. There could have been many reasons (I've been to 10+ countries in the last 3 years, on work, some of them in the Middle East or North Africa) and this could have resulted in background checks taking more time. It could have been a simple case of my file being "lost" for a period of time before being found again. There could have been other reasons.

For those of you who are waiting beyond 90 days, my advise would be to reach out to the ombudsman. At the same time, in parallel, write to the Congressman / Senator. I've heard of cases where this has helped. And be patient, if the documents are all legitimate, the GC EAD will eventually come through. And if your document is with NBC, then it is likely that your GC EAD would be delayed. Also remember that filing an expedite request without specific reasons would not help, it would only get rejected. The best way to get into the expedite queue, in my opinion, is to go to the ombudsman.

That's my journey - and wishing all immigration aspirants the very best.

EAD Delayed
my application for EAD was accepted by USCIS on July 6th 2017, I got the approval notice in the mail on Nov 8 2017 and also my status updated that my ead card is being produced. So it has been over 6 months from the time my application was received and over 2 months since it says new card being produced. I am lost.

I am suppose to be getting a category C9 EAD. I am an applicant under Vawa.

Is this normal timeframe? what are my options.... my attorney is telling me there is a delay with all EAD approvals.... Thanks

797 notice of action
Hello everyone,
I received the I-797 Notice of Action approval with C9 category for employment authorization with " valid from date to date" also needs the Alien number! Was approved November 21st of 2017! Today 01/18/2018 still don't have the EAD card!
I tried to apply for social security and the person told me that they need the EAD card to do it!
Went back home and start reading on the Social security web site and found this Link:
https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0110211001
on the number 55 says that you can apply for social security . I printed and went back there next day and i did apply! but the person that work there didn't want to do it until i showed her this information. I received the social security 1 week later and went to RMV and transfer my drivers license to Massachusetts,
Still waiting on the interview since October 19 2017.
I hope this information helps you do the same.

Interpreting the updates
Hi guys,

I've raised two SR for my EAD, pending since early October from NYC.

The first response stated: "your application is in line for processing"

The second response stated: "your application is still pending consideration"

Is this progress? I.e. it's been assigned to a case officer. Or am I reading too much into it and it just means I'm still in line?

Any thoughts appreciated!

EAD new processing time.
Hello Everyone,

I just want to tell you that it takes exactly 6month for Nebraska Center to process the EAD.
I have just received mine after waiting for 6 months.
I filed on July 23rd 2017.
I also read in the same forum two other people had theirs 6 months after filling their application.
I have never called anyone, and never contacted any congress man.
I understand how frustrating it is.
But, please wait..be patient and strong.
Yours will also come.

My Theory

President Trump allegedly met with the DHS and said some awful things about certain countries. If you are in one of those countries and continents, don't be surprised if your application is moved to the bottom of the stack, or if you are married to someone from a continent.

I believe certain people from ethno European nations are the lucky ones right now...

This is all alleged though
