EAD filed in JULY
Hi Guys,

Starting this thread for folks who filed EAD in July.
My EAD was filed with USCIS on 7/19.
Receipt notice was received on 8/18.

I read experiences from different people in this forum. Is it that it always takes ~4 months to get an approval from USCIS.
Any information in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Congressman help
Hello all,

Like many of you, I have been silently watching this forum. I finally received an update and thought I should share my experience. This page has been very helpful.

I-130, I-485 and I-765 based on marriage to US citizen.

5/12: Application received by USCIS. My receipt numbers start with MSC YYYY X
6/6: Biometrics done
6/15: Status update on I-485 changed to "Case ready to be scheduled for interview"
7/26: First E-request raised after 75 day mark
No response to first request
8/16: Second E-request after 90 days
No response again
8/24: 104 days so I called the congressman for help. This was the best decision I ever took. The same night my EAD card status was changed to "New Card being produced"

The congressmen's office people were so helpful. I finally can breathe. If you haven't done yet you should call the congressman especially if your case has crossed the 90 day mark. They didn't ask me a single question. Just my application crossing the 90 day mark was good enough reason.

Good luck and take action as soon as your case hits 90.

EAD Timeline
Hi Everyone,

I've been a silent observer of this forum for a while now. I have learned a lot reading everyone else's comments. Therefore, I think it's only fair for me to share my own experience. I applied for a green card through marriage to a US citizen, as well as travel and work authorization. Form I-131, I-765, I-130 and I-485. My service center was MSC/NBC. Here is my timeline:

April 24th, 2017: USCIS received our applications
May 25th, 2017: Fingerprint appointment
June 20th, 2017: Online status of form I-485 changed to "Interview Being Scheduled"
August 10th, 2017: Online status of form I-485 changed to "Interview has been Scheduled" (Scheduled for September 14th)
August 24th, 2014: Online status of form I-765 changed to "New Car is Being Produced" (Day 122, exactly 4 months to the day the USCIS received our application)

My wife and I didn't raise any service requests or involve a congressman. This is probably why the process went a bit longer than expected. I just wanted to say thank you to the other people who post in here, it's very informative. Also, best of luck to everyone else waiting!

My card was mailed to me
Let me share my story and I hope it helps you with your case!

5/15 Case was received
6/14 RFI was received for I-485
8/2 Congressman submitted my job offer letter to USCIS
8/11ish Raised a Service Request
8/14 Request for expedited was completed
8/18 Received a notice of action and fax number for supporting documents
8/19 Faxed documents
8/19 Status changed to New Card Is Being Produced about 30 mins after I faxed the documents
8/23 Card Was Mailed To Me

If you have a pending job offer, then go to congressman and create a service request.
But you have to do it fast. If your job starts within 2 weeks, I think you are late. My start date was mid-August and never got the card in time and status wan't even changed. Based on my experience though, it does work because my case was supposed to push back a month as I received an RFI for I-485. For those of you who applied I-765 based on I-485, RFI affects I-765 processing but you can still create a service request if your case has been pending over 75 days, I assume.
What I can tell you from my experience, you just have to go for it with what you got.
If it is urgent, then pick up your phone and call the USCIS or get up and go to congressman. Whatever it takes, do it!

Matthew 7:7-8King James Version (KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
