EAD and wait
I will tell you guys my deadline and situation, since a lot of us are with very similar deadlines.
Case received on November 15th being processed in Missouri. I live in Chicago.
Biometrics done on Dec 23rd.
Still no EAD and I called them 3 times to check on it. The last one, the 90 days deadline for the work permit had passed so I put on a request.
Today, Feb 22nd I received an email saying that my interview for the i-485 was scheduled for March 28th, which I was really surprised.
In this case, I may be able to get my green card before receiving my work permit.
Hope you all doing good. I am very anxious and excited. Good luck!!!

Awaiting EAD/OPT
Hi folks,

My case was received on Oct 31st, 2016 and it was sent to production on January 26th, 2017. The status hasn't changed since then. I expedited the case on the 20th of January. The USCIS representatives tell me its their normal processing time. Today is the 114th day. My OPT start date was Feb 1 and I was supposed to begin employment on the Feb 6, my employer has been pushing my joining date since then. Its really worrying me now.

Anybody in a similar situation ? Can I get an interim EAD since it has been approved? Please advise what to do.

Thanks !!

About to loose a job offer
Hi All,

- I have been waiting for my work authorization for almost 100 days, and still haven't seen any update on the website. It just says " Case was received "

11/14/2016 USCIS received all applications (1-130, 1-485, 1-765)
12/22/2016 Biometric appointment done
02/18/2017 Raised an service request through customer service
02/20/2017 Inquired was completed saying: "your case is currently under review..."

Are there any other options for me?
Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

I have a job offer that I really don't want to loose over this.
Thanks so much!
.

I-765(Work Authorization) waiting & No Biometric Appointment yet
Hi All,
I am married to a U.S Citizen and recently applied for Adjustment of Status(I-485), and Work Authorization(I-765) both package was sent to Chicago Lockbox on 01/25/17 and was received on 01/27/17. I received Email/Test Messages on 02/09/17 then NOA through mail on 02/12/17. I am adjusting from B2 Visa and I already have an approved I-130 which I including in the package I sent. My wife initially petition the I-130 for when She was still a permanent Residence and that was approved 6months ago. Though now my wife is U.S Citizen. We could do Concurrent filling then because She was still a permanent residence then.
I am worried now because I have not got Biometric Appointment. I expected to receive Biometric Appointment few days after I received receipt NOA by mail. I have been checking my case online and it is still showing "On February 7, we received your Fingerprint Fee" Please, anyone have an idea when I can receive my Biometric Appointment? Also my case status online supposed to change to Biometric Appointment Scheduled before I can receive anything by mail? Dince I have an already approved I-130, does it mean that my Work Authorization and Adjustment of Status will be processed faster?
I would be happy to receive comments from anyone.
Thanks All.

EAD EXPERIENCE :)
HI

Giving back to this great forum which helped me a lot... :)

Here is my journey of getting EAD

11th Jan 2017 sent all documents for EAD (I am on L2)

17th Jan 2017 Recd the notice from USCIS with Receipt No.

Kept checking the website for update but never called the USCIS for any update. I had Job offer
but I decided to be patient with this process as it was only 1 month for application.

On 13th Feb 2017 the status online, changed to Card sent for Production.

On 16th Feb 2017 the status online, changed to we mailed your card.

On 18th Feb 2017 I got my Card :)

Total time of process to Card receipt : 37 days only which is amazing :)

L2 EAD Renewal
Hi everyone, here's my experience of L2 EAD renewal, in case it's helpful to anyone.

My location: Florida
Service center: Texas
Filing method: Paper
Biometrics: Not required (presumably because this was a renewal)

November 12, 2016: Mailed application, USPS overnight

November 14, 2016: $380 application fee left my bank account

November 14, 2016 (Day 1): Application received by USCIS

January 30, 2017 (Day 77): Called customer service to open service request

February 8, 2017 (Day 86): Visited local office via InfoPass appointment to query application status. Advisor told me that my case was "with an adjudicator"

February 10, 2017 (Day 88): Online status changed from "My case has been received" to "My card is being produced"

February 15, 2017 (Day 93): Online status changed form "My card is being produced" to "Card was mailed to me"

February 17, 2017 (Day 95): Received card via USPS priority.

Card is being produced
Hey guys, my I-765 was just approved and thought I could share my timeline with you guys.

11/14/2016 Received all applications (I-130, I-485, I-765)
12/19/2016 Biometric appointment done
01/30/2017 Raised an inquiry through customer service
02/10/2017 Inquired was completed saying: "your case is currently under review..."
02/15/2017 Resquested expedite because of a job-offer (on 93rd day)
02/16/2017 Case approved, Card was ordered and is being produced.

I raised the expedite process, and after 10 minutes they already answeard with the exact same answear of the inquiry, that my case was currently under review.

It's been quite a journey, and the waiting was driving me crazy, since I am a very anxious person. Thankfully this is getting close to an end.
Good luck to you all.

Finally, my EAD!
Here is my timeline.

H1B Fall 2014-->submit I-140 for wife and I (THE 140 NIW IS A HUGE AMOUNT OF WORK) NIW EB2 route Fall 2015 --> I 140 approved! Summer 2016 ! yes 9 month wai!t! --> submit I-485 (A LOT OF WORK!)--> Winter 2017 submit I-140; biometrics completed and EAD printing (this last step when quickly)

It feels so good to see the horizon after being in the system so long. Anyone considering getting a green card should prepare for 1.5-2 years ahead! Also, H1 renewal is now ~1 year wait time! Please find other options if you can before wasting huge amounts of time and money. It is great once you get it, but not a process for everyone. Many will fail. It is complicated so be careful! However, it is worth it with respect to the uncertainty dealing with border guards. With some other VISAs they can reject you if they are having a bad day.

My Experience on My EAD
I applied for my EAD, AND GREEN CARD AT THE SAME TIME in September, did my finger printing in October. they requested initial evidence in October also. I provided the initial evidence in December. Now I am STILL waiting on my EAD. I CALLED USCIS MY CASE GOT ESCALATED TO AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER, THEY HAVE AN AUTOMATIC CALL BACK LINE. I CALLED FROM YESTERDAY NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. TODAY I CALLED SIX TIMES AND YOU KNOW WHAT STILL HAVENT RECEIVED A CALL BACK. SO I DECIED TO CALL CONGRESSWOMAN ..... THE IMMIGRATION STAFF DECIDED TO TELL ME THAT YOUR EAD TAKES SIX MONTHS. THANK YOU GOD I DO MY RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THE MAX TIME TO RECEIVE AN EAD IS 3 MONTHS. THEN SHE TOLD ME THAT IMMIGRATION IS BACK MONTHS IN PROCESSING..... HMPH... SO HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE NOW?
