OK. Finally I got the card...

We filed Change of Status for myself, my husband and my son. I have F-3 Category file with the Priority date of 04/07/2005.

Below is my experience of the whole process:

1). On July 28, 2016 sent an Application for Change of Status along with Advance Parole and EAD Applications.

2). After 3 weeks received mail for Biometrics which we finished on 09/07/2016.

3). Received Text Message Notification on 11/18/2016 that they have mailed the cards.

4). Received Cards on 11/22/2016 which they approval date of 11/15/2016.

Thank you USCIS...

EAD approved but no card
EAD/AP based on pending 485 for my dad got approved on Sep 14th and filed a complaint 3 weeks ago. Still no response. They said it might take up to 30 days for response! My dad needs to travel out of the country for a personal trip in 10 days. The support team is not helpful and refuses to take another complaint since it is not yet 30 days since I filed original complaint.

Any suggestions? Do they typically respond within 30 days of a complaint? Are there other escalation procedures? Thanks for all your help!

SSN after get EAD
Hi all,
I came to US with J1 visa and I have SSN with the status (valid for work only with DHS authorization).
I got married in March/16 and I applied for the green card on Sep 21 2016.
Today (11/22/16) I got an update saying that my EAD card id being produced.

-I am wondering if when I get the EAD card, should I change the status of the social security card or should I do it after I get the green card?
-For getting a job, the employer and I must fill the I-9, should I do anything else?
-Can I work part-time in 2 jobs?
-Can I start to work before to get the new SSN card?

Still no EAD
Hi all.

I have been reading everyone experiences so far and it was helpful in that it made me realize how long it is going to take before i ever get approval or my ead card. I finally decided to put my experience here simply out of frustration. The time it takes to get anything or updates is quite ridiculous and overbearing. I am trying not to even think about it.

My application was received on August 16, 2016. The site was updated to say such.
I called USCIS like 70 days after and they said I can put in a inquiry request but only after 75 days.
I submitted a request on the 75th day (November 1, 2016) and i got an automatic response saying expect to hear a reply from them by November 23, 2016.
As you can see, they are just buying time, cause that's pretty much the 90 day period right?

Then i remember someone talking about info pass and scheduling an appointment with them. So did schedule to speak with someone on November 18th.

LET ME WARN YOU NOW. It was a waste of time. they tell you the same thing you see on the website. and they can't tell you anything more.

Then I put in a request again this time using the link that says if you pass 90 days and still haven't heard a thing, submit an inquiry via this link, which i did on the 90th day (November 15th) it really should have been 16th, but i was like what the hell, one day ain't go make a difference.

I got an automatic reply saying expect a response by November 27th, 2016, like are you kidding me?

Then i got an email response on November 17th, telling me that my case is with an immigration officer and should receive a decision notice or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter (which is November 17th, 2016).

So yes folks it unbelievably frustrating. and im writing this for those who reading and wondering how long it can take. well there you go don't be fooled by the timeline on the website, there are cases, such as mine where it is taking an eternity.

I will come back and update when anything changes. i'm so happy for you guys who got through as scheduled. :((((

No activity on my status :((
Hi everyone,

I arrived here in US August 24, 2016 on Fiance VISA. Got married September 10, 2016. Please see below timelines.

September 19, 2016 - Submitted application for I-765 and I-485
September 22, 2016 - Status said they received the applications.
October 27, 2016 - I did Biometrics

Up until now there's no changes in my status for both cases. Is this normal? It still said they received everything last September 22, 2016.

Thanks

I-765 case status changes after it says "card being produced"?
Dear All,

First of all, thank you for sharing your experiences. Its being very helpful. When my case is all done I will share with detail too to help others at least ease their minds and give some clue. I am very desperate because I have a job offer I need to sign and fill the I-90, and they also sent me an email to start my background check.

My I-765 status says my "Card is being produced" since Nov 9th. I want to know if that status keeps udpating or stays that way and they just send your card? Are there any additional updates such as: "Card being mailed" or "case approved"??

This is mi process timeline so far: (Massachusetts)

(Married to USC and in the US with tourist visa)

08/18 Package sent
08/22 Notice of package receive
08/28 My case has being accepted and they will start processing my case
09/03 Notice for Biometrics App
09/23 Biometrics Done
10/05 I-485 case status change to: "My case is being ready to be scheduled for an interview"
11/02 Raised a service request through the website asking if my interview appointment notice was sent and maybe it was lost in the mail I-785.
11/04 They responded that they haven't schedule my case for interview yet :(
11/07 Raised a service request regarding my I-765 saying my case was outside normal processing timeline
11/09 Case status for I-765 change to: "My card is being produced"

Today is 11/16 and I'm still waiting for the EAD card. Please tell me around how long does it take and if your case status changes after they send the card or you just get it in the mail??

I had to email the company and ask them for more time to sign the offer because I haven't received my EAD card and I am so worried

Thank you!

"Valid from" date on EAD
HI All,

I am new here. Need your help on one question. Its very really important for me.

On November 3rd my i-765 status changed to "We ordered your new card" and the same day to "Case was approved". I got notice in mail on November 5th. But no update after it, still waiting for my status change to "card mailed".

So my question is, there is a "Valid from" (approve date: 3rd November) and expiration date on notice of of action. Is it going to be the same start and end date on my EAD card when I receive it or It's going to be different start and end date on EAD? Anyone who already got his/her EAD card can confirm it please?
