Finally EAD got approved
Hello friends,
Its been exactly 80 days and today suddenly the status changed to "Card is being produced". Is has been a really tough 80 days I should say. Just after the 65 days crossed my heart was covered with so much fear. I did raise a SR after 75 days. I also spoke to the ISO on the phone but nothing seemed to have helped. However, in addition I also contacted the senator's office with my plea. They did take about a week to decide on my case and then put an inquiry on the 79th day. And I believe thats their inquiry which helped to move my case forward. I am so much thankful to the senator's office.

EAD Processing 95 Days, plus possibility of 60 Days More!!
Hi All-

I have been following the forums closely since the beginning of my experience, and have found it very helpful.
Below is my timeline:

October 27th: I-485, I-765 and I-130 received by USCIS at MSC processing center

November 23rd: Finger print/ biometrics appointment completed

December 14th: Received RFE for form I-485, they wanted a copy of my husband's most recent tax return

December 23rd: UCSIS received the evidence they requested.

This is the last update I've gotten since. I raised a service request both on the 76th day and on the 91st day. The response to my first service request was that the case was still within regular processing time and the response to the service request raised on the 91st day was that because of the RFE we received back in December, our case could continue processing for another 90 days, from the date the response to the RFE was received.

It has been stressful, and discouraging waiting for this paperwork. My husband and I have been together for 6 years, and I've also been a teacher in NYC for the last 5 years, working on an H-1B Visa, which had expired when we filed for the change of status. Anyone else been privy to such a timeframe? Based on some of the other experiences, applications have been approved in shorter timeframes even with prior RFE's. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Expect EAD within 90 days?
Hi Friends,

After reading this post, I am feeling that in general the L2 EAD processing takes more than 90 days. Is it the case? Do you know the people who have received EAD within 90 days timeline?
I have applied for EAD on 20th December 2015, so can I expect to receive it by end of Feb? The application has been sent to California USCIS.

Please comment or share your experiences where it is been received in 90 days in recent past. That will help me to plan my stay in USA.

Thanks.

Case Transferred to another office
Hey guys,

I sent my i-131 (Advance Parole, AP), i-765 (Work Permit, EAD) & i-485 (Adjustment of Status, AOS) all at the same time in the same package and these were all received and began processing on December 17th. My timeline so far looks like this.

01/04 - 2 letters received stating that forms AP & EAD have been received, no mention of EAD
01/07 - Raised a service request to find out about missing EAD
01/20 - Received letter informing me of USCIS mistake (little victory) and that my EAD will be backdated to 12/17 with my receipt number.
01/19 - Informed biometrics for AOS are to be taken on 01/28
01/28 - Fingerprints for AOS taken
01/29 - Informed biometrics for EAD are to be taken on 02/11
02/01 - Email received stating the case status for my EAD has changed to "Case Transferred to another Office"

Couple questions, is it normal for me to give my biometrics twice? I find it odd that I have to go back to the same place exactly 2 weeks after giving them my fingerprints already. Also, what does it mean that my case has been transferred to another office? Will that slow down my work permit?

Any comments are greatly appreciated, I know a lot of us are in the same position.
