Confused? Or too early to panic?
On December 17th, USCIS received my entire AOS package after marrying my US Citizen Fiance. Just last night/early hours of this morning, 1/4/2016, I received a text and email saying that my case has been received and that they would send me a letter which should come in 7-10 days. Great news, I thought! They sent me 2 texts and 2 emails with 2 different receipt numbers. I went online to track them and 1 is for my Travel Document and the other is for my I-485 and states that my "fingerprint fee has been received" but there is no mention of my work permit application.

Should I be receiving another receipt number for that? Or will it just show up? Or will it come after I have had my finger prints taken. I know that I only got the texts and emails at the early hours of this morning and the letter to follow may explain more but I'm very eager to know what is going on.

Any comments would be of great help, Thanks!

Share my timeline. Anxiously waiting for Ead
PD: 21 Oct 2015
Center: Chicago to Lees Summit
Other info: 2 Rfes. First one outdated 864 form. Second one, forgot to sign the newly submitted form...

I am supposed to start a new job in 2 weeks. Not sure if it could happen or not....
Anyone with similar timeline got positive feedback?
Thanks.

This whole waiting thing sucks. Good luck to everyone.
It's such an irony that how much application fee we paid and what a bad service we receive...

EAD Case Was Transferred
HI Guys,

On Sep 29 2015 , USCIS received my EAD Renewal application. Now it is 92 days science I applied and I am worried. On DEC 18 I did service request and my status says, On December 24, 2015, we transferred your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number EAC YYYY XX, to Nebraska Service Center. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case.

Now I am in 92 days and I am worried when My EAD will be approved. MY Current EAD is expired and I have a job offer waiting. If didn't get any thing in a week I am gonna loss it. I have also loans i should work and pay.

I applied from MD.

Any advice or any similar experience? Thank you

L2 EAD
Hi
I have applied for my L2 EAD. I mailed the application on 2 Oct 2015 and USCIS processed it on 5 Oct 2015. Today is the 78th day of the process. I have raised a service request to give my case priority. I have a job offer and I am scared I may have to let go of the opportunity if I do not get my EAD on time.

I did not get a biometrics appointment. My case has been routed to Vermont centre. Has any one around the same priority date - 5 Oct 2015 received any updates from USCIS?

Thanks!

EAD processing timeframe
Hi all,

This site was useful to me when going through the EAD process so I thought I would add my experience.

September 10th: Application received by USCIS
September 14th: Received receipt in mail
Waited...
Waited...
Waited some more...

I did not require biometric testing as I had previously done this with another visa - I had to call USCIS to confirm this.

November 24th: I called USCIS to submit a service request as the regulatory processing timeframe was nearing its end. I was told it would take 15 - 30 days to hear back about this request.

I called a few times in the following week to see if anything else could be done. I did not have grounds to expedite my case so there wasn't much I could do.

December 8th: I called USCIS and was told I should wait to hear about the previous service request that was submitted. I asked if anything else could be done as I had waited patiently for 90 days and was becoming concerned that this process was never going to end. At this point the customer service rep submitted another service request stating that my application had exceeded the processing timeframe. He did tell me that the processing times are only an estimate. Within 3 hours of this phone call my online status had changed to "application approved".

December 14th: Received EAD card in mail (wooohhoooo).

Throughout this process I encountered some very helpful USCIS employees and some not so helpful people who at times left me feeling very confused and helpless.

I recommend calling USCIS at the 65 day and 90 day mark to push the process along. Also please note that the Infopass appointments you are encouraged to apply for are pretty useless as they can no longer process interim EAD cards. Hang in there and good luck!

L2 ead processing time
Hi! I just wanted to share my experience as other posts helped me.
I have moved to the USA on an L2 visa from the UK. I was anxious to receive my EAD quickly as I didn't want to interrupt my career. I requested an expedite based on financial loss however this was denied. My timeline is as follows...

September 17th 2015: sent off application via FedEx
Sept 18th: uscis received application
About a week later I received a receipt from uscis,
On 1st October I requested an expedite by ringing the service center which was denied
December 11th: status has changed to card being produced.

It has taken USCIS 84 days to approve my Ead. I have an interview on Tuesday so I am hoping it arrives in the mail by then. I would recommend ringing up on day 75 to put in a service request. This is what I did, not sure if it sped anything up but worth a try. Good luck everyone. It is such an annoying process- wish it didn't take so long. I have had to give up job opportunities over the last few months
