EAD renewal (97th Day), NSC need additional 60 days
Hi All,
Taking some moment to share my experience of EAD renewal. At this moment my journey is passing thru known challenges with uncertainty and trying may suggested methods, hoping I may get EAD renewed soon to get back to work. This is 3rd renewal of EAD after filing I-485 in 2007 under EB3. Current EAD expired on December 23rd 2015, at present on unpaid leave starting from December 24th 2015.
Below are my timelines of current I-765 (EAD) renewal:
October 7th, 2015 : Document with fee sent to Texas Service Center
October 13th, 2015 : Receipt Notice from NSC
December 6th, 2015: Requested expedite (Result: Denial – USCIS needs 75 Days before expedite request is placed)
December 28th, 2015: L2 Immigration Officer suggested to raise a service request than expedite requested because case is close to 90 days of regulatory time frame and expedite request can delay it further. (Result: USCIS response received on January 6, 2016,- your case is inline to be processed, USCIS needs 60 additional day’s to process the request)
January 7th, 2016: Requested expedite (I provided unpaid leave, bills, insurance, ……… bill to pay, unpaid leave, threat for termination etc. Result: Denial – Not enough evidence provide to consider the request.)
January 7th, 2016: Contacted Senator of my area.
January 7th, 2016: Faxed the documents to NCS fax number.
January 7th, 2016: Received another denial to expedite request, stating USCIS needs 75 Days before expedite request is placed. This was weird, because my request was pending since last 86th day on this date.
Today is 97th day since I received the receipt notice from NSC. Infopass appointment tomorrow. At this stage, I don’t know what went wrong and how renewal can be expedited, I am already on unpaid leave facing challenges from all aspects in absence of EAD.
Please share your inputs/suggestions if you may have any, mainly around ‘your case is inline to be processed, USCIS needs 60 additional day’s to process the request’ from Nebraska

On January 15, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number SRC1690032645, and will mail it to the address you gave us.
What does this mean. Is the application approved and EAD card being sent. Does this mean the same.

My AOS experience and EAD expediting process
Hello fellow residency seekers, I would like to share my experience because I have been following this blog and it has helped me with the anxiety that I am pretty sure you all know.
I brief story of my case is the following. I came here as a J-1 student on August 2010. I was here as an exchange student and during this time I met my husband. We started dating, and one year later I have to leave. We decided to keep dating, and try to make it work long distance. He visited me 3 times during the next year, and we vacationed together in Mexico. After almost a year apart, we decided to get together and I moved back to the US with an F-1 VIsa.
Due to the 2 year residency agreement, every time I had off (when I was not going to school), I had to go back home. Last Summer, after many miles traveled and a lot of money that was spent, we fulfill the 2 year residency agreement. And with all the anticipation, we finally got married last year, on October 2nd.
We hired an immigration lawyer because with a loaded last semester in school, we did not have time to work on the paperwork for the Adjustment of Status. Once I graduated, I was offered a job to start on January. I waited patiently and since I did not get a response from USCIS 2 weeks before the date of starting my new job, so I ask for my EAD to be expedited.
Here is my timeline:

November 5th: Priority date
November 13th: Cash checked
November 17th: Receipt notice
November 20th: Bio-metrics appointment letter (for December 4th)
December 4th: Bio-metrics taken
January 7th: Called customer service to ask for EAD to be expedited
January 11th: USCIS requested work offer prove, letter with prove was faxed that day
January 13th: Request was assigned to an officer for response
January 14th: USCIS approved expedition process
January 15th: "My card is being produced"!
Nothing else has changed yet, but I am excited because I will be able to start working!!! How long will it take for me to get my card?

EAD - Different statuses
Hi All,
My EAD is 79 days after I applied, Stilll there is no change in status.
I was curious to know what are the different types of statuses for EAD
from first day my EAD status is "Case Was Received".
Can we list down all statues, so that all will know how many different stages are there in this tedious process.

EAD application reaching 80 days
Hi All,
Below is my application details. Today is my 79th day after i applied for my EAD. Still no change in the status "Case Was Received".
October 28th 2015. - Application received by USCIS
October 31 2015 - Got Mail with Application number
October 31 2015 - Status : "Case Was Received"
December 4 2015 - 37 days. No status change. No request for bio-metric also.
December 21 2015 - 54th Day - Raised a service request asking if I need bio-metric or not.
December 22 2015 - Checked online. The message "No bio-metric required". Mostly I sent all my docs hard copy. With photo signed on it.
January 12 2016 - 76th Day - Still status is same. Raised a service request as
"Approaching regulatory time-frame"
Janauary 12 2016 - Got an email. Message is " your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received."
January 15 2016 - 79th Day. Still same status.
I am really frustarted and worried if my application would get approved in 90 days.
I have still not started applying for jobs. as I am not sure whether its legally allowed to apply or not.
I understand we cant work. But can anyone let me know if i can start applying for jobs.

EAD Delayed
Hi All ,
I had applied for EAD in the Nebraska center on 15th of September .
On 76th day since the status of the case was still the same as " Receipt Confirmation" i put in an online inquiryunder "Approaching Regulatory Time Frame" .
At that point they told me that the Case was under review by an officer .You should receive a decision, correspondence or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter.
Nothing happened after it for a while and now 4 months have passed and i again put an online inquiry under "Beyond Regulatory Time Frame" . Now i got a reply "
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received"
Did someone have a similar experience or knows that if putting an enquiry reshuffles your case file since i can't think of a reason the case status shifter from Being reviewed to In line to be reviewed after 4 months have passed .
Its really disappointing to see this .

I went to social security office to apply for a SSN.. And the lady said i have to wait 4 weeks!

Hi, My cases were received on 8th october,205 by Missori centre. Bio-metrics done on 3rd november,2015. And its been 97 days today and i didnt reveive any update. Although i filed an request too on 91st day. but if somebody has the same scenario, do reply.

I called USCIS customer care on the 76th day which was january 11th 2016
January 13th I got 3 different updates.
