USCIS Alien Number is not in the Form I-797C, Notice of action form
Hi
I applied for EAD on Oct 15 to Nebraska Service Centre and I received the receipt on 19th Oct. I found that my USCIS Alien Number column is blank. Can anyone please suggest me that is it OK or by mistake they forgot to put the number then what I need to do. Now it's 45 days passed away still the status showing case received. I did paper-based application so don't know about biometric. Still waiting for their respond and very tensed as I have already job offer in my hand if I will not join soon may lose the job.

Expedite EAD
Hi All

My case is similar to many cases out here .

I have filled my EAD on 21 Oct,2015.
Right now, I am on my full time internship and this company has offered me full time position from Dec 21,2015.
And My EAD card will be generated in late Jan as per 90 days processing.
I have registered an expedited request which got rejected with the email insufficient evidence.
I went through the congressman she said your docs are not good enough to support but it contains the offer letter from my employer and also the letter from my employer stating the financial loss to the company.

Can anyone please suggest me what should i do ?
should i reply back to USCIS with the email with offer letter and request letter from emploer to expedite the case as its the loss for both the company and the me ?
If there is any other supporting document, please do let me know about it too.

Please suggest me what should do ?

Thanks
Nick

EAD filed at Nebraska Service Center
I am currently on L-2 visa and here is my latest experience about an EAD application. I did paper based filing, so did not have to attend a biometrics appointment.

08/25/2015 - Mailed documents to Phoenix Lockbox by USPS Priority Mail.
08/28/2015 - Application was received by USCIS
09/01/2015 - Got email and text confirmation that the application has been received and accepted.
09/05/2015 - Received application receipt notice by mail.
11/12/2015 - Called the USCIS Customer Service helpline and requested them to log an expedited Service Request, since my application was pending over 75 days. I got a lot of information from here http:// **** *.org/forum/forum71-receipt-tracker-of-485-ead-and-ap-applications/3096098-ead-expired-and-renewal-still-not-approved.html , on what needs to be done while requesting this SR.
11/13/2015 - The online status of my case was changed to 'Card Production Ordered'
11/18/2015 - Online status changed to 'Card has been mailed'
11/20/2015 - Received the new EAD card by mail.

All this time, I did not receive any email or text update from USCIS, even after the SR had been raised.

EAD Texas Service Center
I filed online application through Texas Service Center (TSC)

08/12/2015 Filed online application
08/13/2015 Sent support documents to TSC via USPS
08/17/2015 Received File Notice application number
08/18/2015 Supporting documents were delivered to TSC
08/19/2015 Received BIO notice appoitment for 09/04/2015
09/04/2015 BIO done. spent no more than 35 minutes
10/26/2015 75th day. Call USCIS Call Center and Request status of Employment Authorization application
11/05/2015 at 1130am received email and sms about status changes. New Status: Order New Card
11/05/2015 at 930pm received email and sms about status changes. New status: Application has been approved
11/09/2015 at 7pm received email and sms about status changes. New status: Your cardhas been mailed. No tracking number on the status
11/10/2015 Received approval notice. Form I 797
11/12/2015 EAD card received. USPS 2 day priority mail

Processing time 85 days to approve the application and 92 days to get EAD card on my mailbox.

A few things for advice:

1. Avoid as much as possible to receive RFE. Submit all the required documents when filing for the application at once.
2. Not everybody received BIO notice and has to go through BIO. I have friends who filed paper application and some of them had to do BIO and others did not have to.

EAD delayed
I applied for my EAD electronically, and submitted supplementary documents to Texas Office.
I recommend checking the processing times before applying, because in my case I would easily see that Texas processing times were behind schedule before applying. I'm not sure if you can apply using other offices.

Applied: May 26, 2015
Visit local office for biometrics: Jun 19, 2015
Approved: Jul 31, 2015
Then my nightmare started. I found a job in september, but hadn't received my card by then.
Card received: Nov 6, 2015 (164 days, or 5,4 months after applying)
After receiving my EAD, I applied for SSN.

During my long wait, I wrote to an USCIS director and nothing happened. I wrote to their ombusdman and nothing happened. I talked to 2 immigration lawyers, and they can only help you if your EAD was denied. I also visited my city USCIS office 3 times, and nothing was done to help me out. Having and showing them my job offer didn't matter.

Trust me, if everything is ok with your case, there is nothing you can do to speed up the process.

The only thing you can do, is to call their 800, and ESCALATE your call (always be polite). Ask to escalate, explaining why you need to talk to a supervisor. That way you will at least know what is wrong, or where exactly is your process (mine had a printing problem).

You can also open inquires on USCIS website, but one of them they never responded.

I know how powerless we feel while waiting; especially in my case, knowing that I wasted 5 months of my time waiting for someone to do a work that for sure shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Bio-Metric notice not yet received after a month of receipt
Hi ,

I have landed on 15th September , and have submitted my EAD application to the Phoenix Lockbox. Following are my time lines

29th September - The application was sent to USICS
02nd October - The application received by USICS
7th October - Application accepted by USICS and Email notification received.
8th October - Official Receipt received by mail.

I have not yet received the biometrics appointment , even after a month from the date of my application received by USICS.

I have been calling the USICS helpdesk , and they read or tell me , what is there on the Trackitt website, and no additional information or addressal possible with them.

The anxiety and frustration is increasing day by day.

It would be great if some one can help me with the replies for the below queries.
1) Is it normal time line of 30 days + to receive the bio-metrics appointment notice ?
2) Would I be able to make my bio-metrics appointment ? Or should I have to wait for the notice ?
3) Is any one addressal mechanism or method possible?
4) Is there any phone number or email address, other than the helpdesk , who can help with more clear informations ?

Your help on answering the above queries will help me lower my BP and anxiety level.

Thanks,
