Interview on Jan 8th at Los Angeles Field Office
Hi All,

Happy New year to all of you! As I was doing a final check on my document I just realized that the I answered one of the YES/NO question on my wife's I-485 incorrectly. I just wanted to know how I should handle this situation at the interview if for some reason IO asks the exact same question? This forum has been extremely helpful and I would really appreciate if anyone could provide an insights on this or faced a similar situation.

Thanks!

Regarding Medical
I just received my interview notice and i had submitted my medical in 2017Oct. I was planning on redoing the medical but i heard following from my lawyer.
USCIS has recently changed its policy regarding medical exam validity periods. They are now valid for two years instead of one. However, we are not sure if they are retroactively applying this policy to medical exams filed prior to the policy change, or only those filed after.

Does anyone have any more information on this?
Cheers

Certified translations
Friends,
My interview has been schedule and I'm preparing for it now. I have a question about certified translations:

I have already submitted certified translations of birth and marriage certifications.
My translations do not include have the translator's statement "I swear under penalty of perjury that I am competent to translate from ______ to English,"
Instead, it reads " I, name of translator, certify that this translation is a true and correct translation of the original document that was presented to me."

This is a trivial issue, but you can't be too careful. Do I need another translation or these variations in translator statements are fine?

I came across this advice on a legal website, and it got me thinking about my translations:
"Any foreign language documents that you bring, such as birth certificates from other countries, must not only be fully translated into English, but be accompanied by a statement from the interpreter that says something like, “I swear under penalty of perjury that I am competent to translate from ______ to English, and that this translation is a true and complete translation of the attached document.” The name of the translator and the date and place of translation should also be written into the statement."

My interview happened in Memphis. I attended with my family. I and my wife were asked a few yes/no questions. IO checked only the passports and he didn't ask for any other document. It took no more than 15 minutes. I was told that I would get my GC when my PD becomes current.
Now fingers crossed and waiting for my PD to become current.

All the best everyone!
