Additional proof with RFE
Hi guys,
What do you suggest about sending additional proof along with RFE documents? Is it a good idea? I am thinking to send AAA documents, joint bank account statement etc for my wife, as a proof of marriage.

EB2 interview December 9 - NYC - No news

Wondering if anyone had a similar timeline. I had my EB2 interview on Dec 9 in NYC, there were no issues, but I still have not heard anything back.

Anyone else had an interview in NYC in Dec, Jan or Feb?

EB2-NIW
Hi folks,
It time to payback to this wonderful website. I got my green card which was approved on spot. Before starting to share my story of interview, let me suggest you to trust North America Immigration Law Group as professional attorney for your green card application. Beside I-140, I have filed my I-485 using their services because I found them very organized and responsible. They suggested me to file my I-1485 but I emphasized that I need your company to do everything for me. I am quite sure that it was right decision because their well experience on filing packages before sending to USCIS made me to have my green card within 8 months. I never received REF or any required additional documents.
Here is my timeline:
I-140 submitted to USCIS middle of Sept.2017 (normal process)
Received approval of I-140within 2 months on Nov. 2018
Submitted I-485, and I-131, and I-756 first week of Jan 2018
Transferred to NBC Last week of March 2018
Received approval of combo card April 10, 2018
Combo card in the mail box on 14th April
Received scheduled interview letter on middle of May 2018
Interview was done on First week of the June 2018
GC approved in spot and received GC in mailbox 5 days later
On the interview date, I arrived 3 hours earlier. I submitted my interview invitation letter to information desk and after 30 minutes somebody came to me with my documents in his hand. We went to his office at level 3. Interview was about 4-5 minutes. There were 2 interviewers. Oath, attorney waiver letter and date of birth were first questions. Then he went through all I-485 questions (only keywords) and I was like a robot saying NO every 2 seconds. Just for question number 25 I said Yes because I had speeding Ticket. He asked me did you arrest. I replied No, and then he said my questions was have you been arrested or no, speeding ticket is traffic violence.
He also asked me why you changed your address. He was very serious because he asked me did you do anything wrong? You could continue your lease. Changing address must have a good reason. Then I replied I wanted to be more close to Uni. He asked me why you didn’t attend in army. In your country it’s compulsory. I told him I never attended because I paid to army instead. Then I submitted the evidences. He also asked me to describe my research topics and he surprisingly asked very scientific questions from my research which was far from not high educated person.
Then he said we are done. You will get your green card within two weeks. I asked him do you need my recent papers or tax for 2017 or my recent google scholar or patents? I have copy of my other offer letters if you need. Then he replied No, you are NIW. We don’t need any of them. Just continue in your research filed. Thank you for coming earlier than your appointment. And Thank you for coming alone. Bringing attorney to interview makes me nerves since I need to check every single paper of your documents.
The other interviewer is also finally talked at the end of interview while going back. “You did it prefect”.
Hope you guys having your GC soon :)

Green Card Received + Interview Details
Hi everyone,

Wanted to give my timeline. Hope this helps.

Category: EB2, Rest of World
Local Office: Hartford, CT
PD: June 20, 2017

11/29/2017 : I-485 application sent to Texas Service Center (I-140 approved prior; did not apply for EAD or AP)
12/1/2017 : USCIS Receipt Date
12/22/2017 : Received biometrics notice by mail
1/11/2018 : Biometrics done
3/5/2018 : Case Transferred to NBC
4/20/2018 : "Ready to be scheduled for interview" email/text received; letter arrived a week after
5/1/2018 : "We scheduled interview" email/text received; letter arrived a week after
6/6/2018 : Interview completed; received "we ordered your new card" email/text 30 minutes after the interview
6/8/2018 : "We mailed your new card" email/text received
6/11/2018 : "Post Office picked up mail containing your new card" email/text received, along with the tracking numbers
6/13/2018 : Green card arrived

About the interview: My wife and I went 30 minutes early (no lawyer), but waited almost 50 minutes for the interview. (Basically, interview began 20 minutes after the appointment time.) We were led into a room where we first took an oath. Officer went through and asked almost every single questions on I-485 form to confirm what we wrote on the application and correct any mistakes, if any. The officer asked for a letter from my employer, which I provided, and asked what my job title was. Also asked what my current salary is. I offered to give the officer my W-2, and recent payslips, but the officer declined. The officer asked a LOT of questions about our marriage: when we first met, when we got married, who was at the wedding, where our parents currently live, why my wife doesn't work right now, etc. The officer also asked for any material evidence of our marriage being bona fide, apart from the marriage certificate. We showed the officer our wedding album, along with our joint rental lease contract, car insurance, joint tax form, joint credit card statement, and most importantly, the birth certificate of our daughter which has both of our names as the parent. The officer asked for any loose-leaf picture that can be included in the file, which we didn't have, but appeared to be okay. All in all, a pretty comprehensive and detailed interview that took about an hour long.

Hope this helps.

RFE for Birth certificate
Hi guys,

I have received a RFIE for birth certificate. I am from Pakistan. I obtained a birth record from Pakistan embassy in the US. Apparently, it's not accepted by the USCIS. I have another birth certificate from Pakistan and it shows data both in Urdu and in English. However, USCIS requires the official stamp or signature with title. Only problem is that the signatures are there but the title is written in Urdu only. Could you please guide me what should I do? Do I need an official translation? If yes, what's the best source to get it translated?
