Visa Bulletin July 2018
Not sure why it is still not published, normally it comes out by 11th or 12th every month, its 13th and its still not published.
I see the below on their website: any thoughts?

USCIS, in coordination with Department of State (DOS), is revising the procedures for determining visa availability for applicants waiting to file for employment-based or family-sponsored preference adjustment of status. The revised process will better align with procedures DOS uses for foreign nationals who seek to become U.S. permanent residents by applying for immigrant visas at U.S. consulates and embassies abroad.

3 month Delay with I-485 Interview - NYC
Hello folks,

Wanted to ask the community about delays with receiving an interview for my employment based I-485 application.

I received an update on March 20th that my application is ready for an interview, but its been radio silence since then. Is this common, and should I be concerned? Also what can I do? I'm filing from the New York office.

As a reference, my timeline is below:
July 26 2017 - Filed I-485 Application
October 2017 - Biometrics Appointment
December 2017 - Received EAD Card
March 20 2018 - Application is ready for an Interview

Thanks!

Interviewed for GC on June 11, 2018
Hi All,

Just wanna share my timeline and experience for category EB-2 Visa Philippines.

My location is in LA, California.

Timeline (total of 15 months processing time for GC):

October 2016 - Start application/PERM Determination
Jan 2017 - PERM
March 2017 - I-140/485/765 Application
June 2017 - I-140/485 Received
Sept 2017 - AED Card Received/Biometric/Fingerprinting
Nov 2017 - SSN processed
March 2018 - I-140 Approved
March 2018 - I-485 Case Transferred
May 2018 - Received interview letter
June 11, 2018 - Interview scheduled at 6:45AM

Be sure to arrived 30minutes before your schedule time. I brought along my lawyer with me and I guess its better as officers will be
very selective in what they will asked.

- I was served around 8:30AM
- Officer asked me to swear to tell the truth
- Officer asked the following questions:
- my full name
- date of birth
- Date of arrival in the States
- Date of exit if any. He asked my why I went back home. I told him there was an emergency back home.
- Whom I am living with in the apartment.
- Yes/No questions in I-485
- Date I started with the company
- He saw my AED was approved Sept 2017 but I started working only in November so he asked why, I said the company asked me to start in November. (give straight answer always.)
- Date of marriage

- Officer asked for the following document:
- Letter of Employment from petitioner
- DL, SSN, and AED
- 3 months payslips
- Tax Return 2017
- Advance Parole document (since i went back home last Dec. 2017)
- Signed I-485 by the employer

Total time in the room was approximately 10 minutes. He printed something, went out, when he got back,he handed my the greatest document I've ever received which says,
"CONGRATULATIONS! WELCOME TO AMERICA!". :-)

Now I'm just waiting for my GC to be mailed home.

Yes, patience is trully a virtue so have one. Read this forum always coz it really helps and make God your partner ALL THE TIME. HE'll be there ALL THE TIME.

God bless to all!

Interview was scheduled and cancelled / waived
Hi,
My Interview was scheduled on 5/29 at Vienna, Virginia office and then my attorney received a cancellation notice. The letter says that due to unforeseen circumstances, it got cancelled and they will inform me if they reschedule it. My attorney said that nothing to worry about because a recent policy update states that some interviews might be waived if I am still employed by the petitioner who submitted the approved employment based visa petition.

Does anyone have similar experience? My case status went to back ward where my fingerprint were approved. I am really worried. My case is very straight forward and I cannot think of any reason for cancellaton.

Please help.

I am from ROW.

Thanks

Passport validity requirements
EB1c, March 2017, India

Today my status changed to "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction".

While, I am happy to see some movement, does this mean case was transferred from TSC to some other office? Will it introduce more delays?

On a second note, what is the minimum passport validity requirement at the time of I-485 interview? My passport is set to expire in 5 months time. Renewal may take time so wondering when should I start the renewal process - wait for the interview or get it started right away?
What if I don't have my passport in hand at the time of interview as it is being renewed?
