Jan/Feb 2017 files
I see a lot of Jan/Feb filers are getting their cards which is great news. Are any filers of Indian origin getting their cards or are they expected to get only after Oct 18? Thanks

New York City
Hola! Any New York filers here?

                 June 2017 - Prority Date.
  December 2nd 2017 - Concurrent I-140/I-485 Filing
December 11th 2017 - I-140 approved
                   Feb 2018 - Biometrics completed
                 April 2018 - EAP & AP received
April 15th 2018 - Status Changed: "Your application is ready to be scheduled for an Interview"

Anyone have any idea of timescales from here on out? My Human Resources representative suggested a 6 month wait (~December 2018) before receiving an interview scheduled notice, does that sound correct? Anyone filing in NYC have a similar timeline?

All the best all!

"Initial" interview notice with a significant amount of evidence requirement
Hi Guys,
So as mentioned above I got the interview notice today and someone else has also posted that they have this "initial" word on their interview notice.

I've been asked for the following evidence:
- All visas, and I-797 notices
-medicals (expired so thats obvious)
-Birth certificate
-Original and copy of supporting documents submitted with the application (probably means 485, 140)
-All documentation establishing eligibility for permanent residence (probably employment letter)
-Supplement J

Has anyone had this experience?

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks

WAITING FOR INTERVIEW AFTER I485J RFE
Hi All,

Just an update on my case. I previously posted that i received an RFE for I485-J in April and the response was received by USCIS April 13th. On May 10th, I received a receipt notice via mail that the i485-J was indeed received in April 13th.

Today, I received a notice that they want to re-do my pictures and they just asked me to bring them during the interview. As of today, I have not heard anything about my interview. My case status on the website stays at "RFE response received - April 13th."

Is this a sign that I might get the my interview notice very soon? It's almost 60days already.

Thank you All!

Prevailing Wage and Recruitment at the same time
Hi all

I heard that it is possible to do the job advertisement and conduct recruitment even if the prevailing wage has not been approve yet.
This seems to be a great way to buy a lot of time
I was wondering if anyone has gone through this this way?
Does it help? What are the consequences?
Please it'll be great if anyone can shed some light on this

Thanks

Interview experience:
IO was very nice and she came out side called our name and walked us in to her office. She was pleasant to talk to made few jokes during our interview.

first we took an oath.

Then she asked my wife how we got married and when we got married. she asked for wedding pictures and marriage certificate. Then asked for proof that we live together (joint bank accounst, joint house lease etc)
Our last entry date to United states.
Then she asked me about my job title, salary, company name and how many employees we have in the company. Then asked for my offer letter and supplement J. that's it. (She did not ask me about my paystubs or w2 or any other job related questions.)
Then went through the whole 1485 appplication with as and asked Yes/No questions. (make sure you know what you have in there)
I was expecting she would ask more questions but she didnt and it kind of got me worried. At the end she said they will let me know in 6 - 8 weeks. Not gona lie next fews days were tough as I kept over thinking why she didnt ask me more questions and why it was so quick and why she didnt approve our case on spot or why she didnt say our case is straight forward she will check and approve. (like other people talk about) So guys dont think too much as long as you have good case you should be fine. Good luck you all!

Case was received at Local office - I-485
What does this status mean. Apparently, the status is not "Case transferred..." as many others have seen.
