Waiting after interview - options to explore?
Experts,

We underwent our employment-based interview in Washington DC on 04/20. The interview experience was straightforward and the officer mentioned that she'd have to check with her supervisor prior to adjudicating and we should expect to hear back within 4-6 weeks.

I assumed that was a standard broillerplate response. It's already the 4th week and there's been no update. Any suggestions on what levers I can pull to follow up on the case?

Best,
SG

Case transferred
During past 3 days, I received a case status, "case was transferred" to "fingerprint review was completed" to "case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction". Could you please guys tell me what does it mean? Does it mean that my case was transferred to the local office or not yet? My local office is Newark, NJ. How long will it take to get the interview notice?

Combo Card Approval
I am applying for AOS under EB-2 NIW category. I am the primary applicant and my husband is my dependent.

Here are our dates so far:

03/02/2018 - USCIS received our I-485/I-765/I-131 application
05/16/2018 - my husband's I-765/I-131 application got approved.

A have a couple of questions:

- When should I expect my EAD/Travel card to approved as well? I thought they processed family applications together.
- When should we expect to do our biometrics? I thought it was done prior to EAD/Travel card approval?

Thanks!

EB3 Biometrics waiting period
Hello All,

I want to give my self an approximate on how long I should wait to get the biometrics done, because I see some people get notice after 1 month and for me nothing happened yet. Please see my timeline below.

EB3 - ROW.
PD- September 20 of 2019.
Applied I-140, I-485, EAD , EA ( for me and my wife) - April 11 of 2018.
USCIS received documents in April 19 of 2018.
I-140 Approved on premium May 6 of 2018.
I-485 status changed to fee received for biometrics - April 30 of 2018.
Filled at the Nebraska Service Center.

so far after this nothing, I see people that after they filing they get notice and do the finger print after 1 month.

Somebody on the same boat?, Im just impatient and I am on the right time.

Thanks in advance ill keep posted if any update.

Bad\Messed Up Interview Experience - Pittsburgh, PA
Hi All,

Yesterday me and spouse had the AOS interview which did not go quite well.

EB-2 (ROW) [Indian Citizen Born Outside India] Timeline:
PD: 03/01/2017
AOS (I-485, I-765, I-131) filing received by USCIS on: 11/16/2017
Biometrics Completed on: 02/13/2018
EAD & AP (Combo Card) approved by: 02/15/2018
Case transferred to another office: 02/23/2018
Received EAD & AP (Combo Card) by: 02/27/2018
Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction: 02/27/2018
Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Employment-Based Interview: 03/16/2018
Employment-Based Interview Was Scheduled: 04/05/2018
Employment-Based Interview Date: 05/15/2018

The interview part went well, Immigration Officer asked us some regular Yes\No questions and then asked me some Employment-Based questions, verified my Employment Verification Letter, our EAD Cards & Driver License. Then towards the end he\she ran a check on our applications and said that everything looks good. After that the Immigration Officer said that he\she is going to check if visa number is available or not. Then he\she said that my visa number has regressed and that i would have to wait for sometime in order to get my green card (approx 3-6 months or maybe even more). I told that my chargeability falls under ROW, but the Immigration Officer is like even though your filing is under ROW you are a Indian Citizen (I was confused). Towards the end he\she said that they would approve it and send the application back to NBC (did not make any sense to me).

After the entire interview process, i consulted with the attorney who filed my application and he said that its an issue from the USCIS Immigration Officer and i would have to wait for approx 2 weeks to see if the USCIS Immigration Officer's supervisor corrects the issue. If i did not receive any updates about my case or any additional information in 2 weeks or so, i will have to contact my local Congressional Office and submit an inquiry and then the Congressional Office will then reach out to the USCIS to have the issue reviewed and corrected.

I'm worried about what's going to happen next. I don't know if any of you have faced such an issue, please do share your experiences and thoughts.

Thank You.
