Oct'17 Filer - Interview Notice Received
Hi - I received notice to appear for interview today in the mail. The status of my case on USCIS never changed from "transferred to another office" (both old and new websites). Is that normal?

Also, the notice includes a list of documents to bring to my interview. For those who had their interviews recently, can you please reply with documents that you brought and what was asked during the interview?

Appreciate your help!

question on documents for interview
Hi, my interview is scheduled this Wednesday and i noticed i do not have the original copy of my last H1-B Approval Notice (extension) and the I-140 Approval Notice, only the photocopies.

Does anyone have experience during interview of whether the officer will ask for the original documents?

Can anyone shares what documents they bring along? Just want to be sure i do not miss anything

EB1C Oct 17 filing. Done with interview
Done with my interview on May 10th (boston). Very easy questions - straight out of 485 (almost all the yes/no questions). Interviewer repeated the same questions from my wife. Entire interview was done in 45 mins. At the end, Interviewer said due to visa regression, I will have to wait till Oct for new year quota.

EB1C
140 filed in July 2017, Approved in Oct 2017.
485 filed in Oct 4th, 2017.
Interview on May 10th, 2018.
Received Supplement J approval on May 14th, 2018.

All the best everybody.

I’m now in F1 visa and apply for EB3

My I-140 has approved and need to submit I-485 next

And nowI have a question is that now I’m going to submit I-485. But my sponsor said I need i attendance certificate; however, my semester hasn’t over yet. I searched online and isn’t that enough that I provide my all I-20 documents? Why do I need another certificate??

Long wait for interview
EB1C India - my case was transferred to NBC January first week. On March 12 th it was ready to be scheduled for interview and suddenly on April first week onwards it says “ uscis cannot give information on your case “ and stayin that way for past 6 weeks. Any suggestions on when I can get interview?

Will it happen only after retro period ends. I am seeing few others getting interview during retro period, this wait is killing and not having any status is making life more difficult.

Interview Notice
Hi friends, wish you all a great end!

EB1A - Extraordinary Ability

Citizenship: Iran

11/15/2017: i-485, i-765, and i-512 forms received.
03/15/2018: case was transferred to NBC
04/27/2018: EAD/AP were approved and mailed.
05/01/2018: case is ready to be scheduled for an interviewed.
05/07/2018: employment-based interview was scheduled.
06/14/2018: interview will be.

Not a so long journey like many of you, hope you will hear soon as well.
I have a critical question: While my medical examination has not expired as yet, it says (in the interview notice) that
"you must bring following items:
- A completed medical examination (Form i-693) unless already submitted within last year."

You friends think that I need to retake medical examination? I am worried about i-693 form while it will get expired in next 5 months.
Best of luck

Fingerprinting issues
This site has helped me go through the waiting period of our green card journey. It was an everyday routine, even more than once a day, to open and read similar timelines and situations. Although all you can do is wait and raise a SR if needed, but as always patience is a virtue.

For those who has issues on fingerprinting (prints cannot be read), hope this can help in the event one will be called for interview. I am not sure if this will work but had I known, I would have done this.

When the IO tried twice on getting your prints and still fails then you will receive an RFE to submit police clearance. It will be frustrating that ones case would have been approved right there then on the interview but will be held pending submission of clearance. Securing clearance can be different for each state and can take several days. Then one has to submit to USCIS and wait for 60 days after submission before an SR can be raised. One can be lucky if your case will be worked upon earlier to be cleared. And one can never know too if another RFE will be raised or your application will past a year in time for you medicals to expire.

So if you have had problems with fingerprinting, then probably it will be wise to secure police clearances and bring them to the interview. That way you can politely tell the IO that you will submit a recent clearance if your prints can’t be read. And perhaps you will receive the approval on the spot.
