My wife applied as EB3, she is from Russia, apparently the longest delay was the FBI name checks... as others have said you must load yourself with patience...
I am in alabama and files my AOS in Oct 2017. Got EAD combo in Jan 2018 but no updates after that. The online status says case transferred to local office.
Any idea on how long is the wait for interviews?
Is there anyone from alabama who can share their experience. Will appreciate some general idea on wait time for interviews.

Interview experience -
Based on experiences of several user's of this forum I decided to take the attorney along. I noticed that only 3 applicants had brought the attorney along around 9 other applicants did not have attorney present with them.
Interview itself was very straight forward. Just asked for my name, place of birth, citizenship, employer and yes/no questions from I-485 form (same for my Wife). Only other documents requested were W2, pay stubs and a letter from employer. All the photo copies submitted with the I-485 filing were verified by the officer (Passports, EAD/AP, birth certificates and marriage certificates.)
We were told your case is being held for further review and that it is standard procedure. USCIS has all the documents needed for adjudication.
Finally my journey comes to end nearly 2 years later! Best of luck to folks waiting on the GC process.
Note: Even though I have received my GC, my online status still says "interview is scheduled"

We had our interview in USCIS local office. Interview was schedlded at 8am. We reached there around 7:30. we were called inside by our names around 8:30. Officer asked us to take oath
and asked us to be relaxed.
Then officer verified our original birth certificate, Marriage certificate, and VOE letter. Then she requested for our Marriage photos, Insurance copy (we didnt carry insurance photo copy, but i had the card in my purse, officer said, dont worry, i will photocopy the card). Then she verified I140 approval notice, verified the PD (my I140 had my EB2 I140 PD, she was fine with it).
Then she asked questions regarding our marriage, how did you guys meet ? who arranged your marriage ? how many ppl attended your marriage ?
Then the questions moved to my work. She asked what are your roles ? I explained in 2 lines.
Then she said, i will approve your case. :)

The process takes for ever in many cases, be positive, it is worth the hassle and the stress. Good luck to everyone.
The interview was only for a few minutes and most of it was the officer joking around with our 9 month old daughter. The officer said that the case needs to be reviewed and no decision was made.
Now that it has been more than one week I am starting to get worried.
Anyone else out there was put into review after the interview?
Is this part of the normal process?
How long have people waited for the review to be done?

I'm still waiting for a result. I filed SR two times already but the response is to wait. It's been some time and they haven't given me other response.
My lawyer told me that we can file a MANDAMUS.
Does anyone did this? What are the pros and cons and how much percentage do you think is the positive?
