Biometrics - November 2017
Interview notice Jan -2018
Interview Feb -2018
Interview - straightforward: basic questions from i-485 form, yes no questions- make sure you remember each birthdays and SSNs
Approved on the spot.
Approval notice 2 days after
Cards received the following week (today)
Dont lose hope - it will come through for you as well....like it did for us.....keep the faith and good luck

Green card timeline
Hello everyone. Just wanted to share my timeline since this site was so helpful for me while I was in my process.
I-140 applied with premium processing in Feb 2017.
I-485 and EAD applied in April.
July: appointment for biometrics
September: EAD approved and RFE for gonorrhea test.
October: RFE responded
December: Case transferred to NBC
January: Interview scheduled
February: Interview and approval
March: Card was mailed.
It is a lengthy process but worth it. Do not lose faith. You will be there. Best of luck to everyone

Priority date: 10/27/2017
Biometric: 12/14/2017
Post that no update on EAD/AP. The case update on USCIS gives an error "My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered".
Anyone else with similar timelines? What is the current progress at NSC for EB1C.

Changing Job while I485J RFE Pending
please comment on if we can change job while we have a RFE for I485J pending. I replied to the RFE for I485J in Dec 2017 and no update so far. Are we suppose to just wait indefinitely at this point or do we have options to change jobs and go on with life?

L1a expiring waiting on 140/485
Has anyone filed for L1a extension while their 140/485 pending under eb1c. Is it more risky to apply for extension which has higher chance of RFE/ rejection that may impact 140/485? Please share any experience or suggestions.

Expired passport for I485
Hello,
I am one of the January 2017 appliers. I have just received an RFE. One matter is the medical exam, as expected. But, the unexpected request is to "submit a copy of the biographical page of the currently-valid passport which clearly shows your name and photo. "
My passport expired almost 8 moths later than my application and currently it is impossible for me to renew my passport. According the I485 instructions of USCIS, this should not be a problem and an expired passport should be accepted for ID.
I wonder if anyone in this forum heard of or experiences a similar request. Please share if you have experiences something similar.

When to do Special Request?
Hi all,
My case (I485) was transferred to NBC in Nov. I got REF for Supplement J and I submitted in Jan 9, 2018. Is it possible to make a special request for NBC to look at my application and schedule my interview. I'm doing the application on my own (without lawyer). Your advice would greatly help.

What after Interview Completed
I have already completed the interview 2 days back. They said they need to review the case again and gave me 180 days for processing. When should I expect the decision can be made or GC is approved? The online case status still says- "Interview is Scheduled". Any body out there with the same situation.
