I_485 filed 2016- Got Med RFE
Hi All,

My status got changed on Feb, 15 to RFE.

I got the letter today that I need to retake my Medical exam since it is expired.

EB2- NSC- I-485 received date is Dec, 19, 2016. I-140 approved on Oct, 2016.

I have a question:

Can I send the Medical result with the letter I got to USCIS myself? If so do I need the letter sent to the attorney or the one I have is enough?

Or I need to ask my company/attorney to file it?

Thanks

Required time spent with new (ported) employer?
Hi guys,

Same old story: With employer A: I-140 approved, I-485 pending more than 180 days. I am switching to employer B. Because my job changing was so close, my target start date with employer B will be just 2 days before the AOS interview. Should this be an issue?

Employer B will file h1 transfer, supplement j, job offer letter and will have a lawyer attend the interview with me. An attorney brought up this "2 days" issue and suggested me to delay the AOS interview, which is obviously unfavorable. What's your general thought here? Should I fake some reason to indeed delay my interview?

ques
My I485 was approved and I got my green card on Oct'17 through my employer. I have added my spouse when my I485 was pending on July'17 and his case is still pending. Today I received a letter from uscis and also on my I485 case has updated with the following:
On February 15, 2018, we transferred your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number **** ***to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by March 17, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
What does this mean? Is my green card still valid? Please let me know if you have any inputs. I really appreciate your help.
N.B.:There is no updates on my husband's I485 case number though. He got his AP/EAD last month and his fingerprinting is also done.

Form I-864 for EB2-NIW category primary applicant and dependent
Hi Friends,
I applied for I-140 based on EB2-NIW category a while ago based on my postdoctoral position in December 2016. Due to long processing time, I and my wife (my dependent) applied for AOS I-485 in July 2017 before by I-140 got approved. My I-140 got approved in November 2017. Now I and my wife has received a letter for an interview for this March. In an interview letter, they have asked for I-864 form. Since I have applied this case based on EB2-NIW category, do I need to submit I-864 for myself? If yes, then who should sign this form for me? The next question is: does my wife need form I-864 for an interview? If yes, who should sign that for her? Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

I 485 supplemental J APPROVAL NOTICE
Hi All,

I have done my interview on 12/22/2017 and everything seems go smoothly....the officer also told me my case is passed just need to wait few days then i can receive further notice on website.

However until today, 2/19/2018, my I485 is still pending at "Case is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview", very frustrating and worry what happened to my case.

Finally i received one mail on today from USCIS which is the "I-485 Supplemental J Approval Notice" which is just issued on 2/9/2018, i tried to search on this forum but not many people discussed about this approval notice related to the I485/GC status, could any of you help me to understand?

I submitted in my I485 supplemental J documentation during interview like many people do in this forum (as my attorney asked me to do so to prevent RFE) even the officer did not request that until i gave him by myself. Is this the reason causing delay of my GC approval?

thank y'all

INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE:
Husband's interview was scheduled at 9AM, mine at 10AM but we were called in together at the same time. Arrive about 15-20 minutes before the first appointment
We were called in around 9:30AM and the officer led us to her office.
We were first made to stand and take the oath that we will say only the truth
First she went through my husband's documents, she asked for his original passport, most recent pay stub and i94
He was asked:
Are you with the same employer?
When did you last enter the US?
What visa did you have before EAD card?
When did you first arrive to the US and on what visa?
About 10-15 yes/no questions to which the answers were only no
Most of the questions were marriage related questions. Asked to hand over the photo album documenting our relationship. Then asked questions like:
How long have you both been together?
When and where did you first meet?
Asked questions about our travel like, which place did you each like the most when you visited it together
I was asked what I plan to do with my wedding gown
I was then asked to hand over her passport, i94 and asked:
Where do you work?
How long have you been in US?
When did you last enter the US?
Same yes/no questions husband was asked

Officer then said that she had already reviewed our file and it looks good and she is approving our case. She told us to expect the green card in the mail within 14 days

Hope this helps!
