No update about Biometric Appointment - Need Help
I'm a Pittsburgh, PA applicant and my Adjustment of Status filing was done under EB-2 category (Employment-Based) on 11/16/2017.
Please find below my timeline:
1. PD: 03/01/2017.
2. I-140 approved on 07/30/2017.
3. I-485, I-765 & I-131 packages for me and my spouse were filed & received at the Texas Service Center on 11/16/2017.
4. Received all the Receipt Notices from USCIS by 12/04/2017.
The current online USCIS status for the Form I-485 for me and my spouse is:
On November 20, 2017, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number YYYY YYYY XX. Our Texas Service Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
We haven't received the Biometric Appointment notices till now.
I have heard that most of them receive their Biometric Appointment notices atleast within 5 weeks of filing.
Just worried about what's happening and why there is a delay and would like to know if this kind of a delay is normal.
Could someone please help me clarify my doubts?

Hi everyone, I have a question.
I have pending the I-140 and I-485, my PD is 15 Aug. 2017 for the I-140 and 17 Aug. 2017 for I-485 (Texas Service center)
Can I contact the USCIS to ask about why is taking so long, specially the I-140? Or my lawyer - who represent my company where i work for- is the one who has to do it?

reading other people's experiences in this forum helped me a lot during the GC process, so now that I'm done I thought of sharing mine too.
4/10/2017 – Receipt of I-140 (EB2 NIW) and I-485 (concurrent filing) by TSC
5/8/2017 – Collected biometrics at USCIS
9/22/2017 – I-140 approved
10/18/2017 – I-485 transferred to NBC
12/14/2017 – Received notice to attend interview
1/23/2018 – I-485 Interview
1/23/2018 – status changed to “New card is being produced”
1/25/2018 – status changed “New card has been sent”!!
The interview was exactly as described by other posts already; very straighforward, the officer basically went through the I-485 form with me. I had my lawyer with me but all questions were directed at me. I took a recent employment verification letter, recent paystubs, my new H-1B documents (I had it renewed since the I-485 application), and all W2 forms that I had. There were no questions about the I-140 form.

I-485 submission
Hi guys,
My I-140 just got approved and I want to submit my I-485. I will prepare everything myself. So could you please tell me what kind of documents are needed to be submitted? Any precautions? I will apply for me and for my wife. My case was EB2-NIW, advanced degree seeking NIW. Additionally, I am on J-1 visa right now and it will expire in few months. Do I have to renew this visa? If yes, do I have tell my University about my I-140 acceptance or I-485 submission? Will it be a problem if they come to know about I-485? I have no idea about these things, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Old job termination before AOS interview - Need advice
As the title stated, I had my AOS interview scheduled for Feb 2018. The thing is I left my employer in Jan.
- Will the application be denied if I don't have a new job offer by the date of the interview?
- Should I file for unemployment benefits as a form of new income? I also heard of option to go LLC, is this realistic?
- I have big assets and past incomes were many times higher than the poverty line, if this help.

Waiting after interview - Timeline
Almost done, waiting to hear back from my interview (for over a month now).

Concurrent I140/I485: RD July 2017

I485 transferred to another office (online system September 2017)
EAD: December 2017
Interview: December 2017
I had my interview in mid December and I am still waiting to hear back. The interview went well, but the agent recommended for further review because the person that was supposed to review my case could not make it that day. However, the agent mentioned that will recommend me for approval.
Anyone from Atlanta waiting for the GC after the AOS interview? I see most people get their GCs within a couple of weeks after the interview, so I am getting anxious about it.

I got to know today from L2 officer that RFE has been issued to me just this week. I have not received the RFE mail yet. My case is still with Texas service center and NOT transferred to NBC or local office. I have seen after I140 approval , many people get transferred to NBC which issues RFEs and then schedules interviews. Not sure why TSC itseld issued me RFE on I485. My submitted medicals are dated May 2016 which I think would expire in March 2018 (after 1 year of application submission).
I know once I receive the RFE letter, I would come to know the reason. Just curious if you have any idea guys on what could be the reason for I-485 RFE and that too by TSC itself? I thought all after March 6 2017 have to go through interviews and that NBC is the one issuing RFEs, if any on I485. Thanks and good luck to you!!
