problem in vfs site?
Hi All,
I am not able to book visa appointment through vfs site. It showed me the date as available but when I clicked on the particular available date then it returns saying the date you have selected is not available.
I am facing the problem for last 2 weeks. I am in US and going for H1 re-stamping, I even tried emergency appointment booking but that also gives the same error.
I wanted to know if others are able to book appointment in Delhi ? I have tried on IE/firefox and XP/vista.
Is any one else facing same issue ? Did someone book an appointment recently successfully?

me: No, I showed a letter given by my US company, stating my duties
VO: How many number of employees in you US Company?
me: ZZZ
VO: She checked in the computer for a few mins.
VO: Have you read the phamplet given?
me: Yes
VO: xxxxxxx Passport YYYY XX within a Week.
She told the above thing. I could not hear it properly. I don't know the my status. She has not given my passport and DS Forms. What is my situation? Whether approved or not?
Or I need to wait for my Passport

unusual but successfull in mumbai
went for my interview on time but still had to wait for clse to 110mins before the interview began
well i am from the health care related field and these are the question put up
1)what do you do,
2)how do you know the sponsorer,
3)did you have to pay for it,
4)how do u know the president of the company,
5)why you and nobody else,
after answering all the questions this is what the officer says
everything is okay with you but we need to do some admin work from our side so we cant give u the visas now and will contact u by mail and i leave than. after 5mins when i reach my car and switch my cell phone i get a call from the embassy calling me back so i rush back to the embassy they keep me waiting outside while my documents and passport are taken inside and after 10mins they give my docs back and retain the passport. my visas were stamped after 2 days and i get my passport over the counter.

Client stating that I will report to Human resource dept.

I have an appointment booked on dec19th.My client letter states that I will be reporting to human resources dept as soon as USCIS approves my case.
Is it OK to have it stated that way?
Is anyone/everyone has the same documented that way in the client letter?

Hi All,
I am going to India and planning to go for H1B re-stamping for myself and H4 re-stamping for my wife. We are planning to go for interview together
I am facing a problem that while booking the visa appointment date, when I click on the available date then it does not confirm the appointment, instead it says that the date selected is not available. I contacted VFS folks but seems like they dont do anything about appointment booking, so they are no of much help.
I am eligible for emergency category booking but I am not sure if I should choose emergency booking option.

Well tomorrow, Dec. 16th It will have been 6 months sence I met the love of my life. We are both working so hard to find a company here in the United States to sponcor him on a work visa. I even did something I swore I wouldn't do, and asked a movie star friend of mine for help. I am hoping with all his connections he may know someone willing to sponsor him. But so far no luck.It is so hard..The waiting. All the reading thru Immigration websites to make sure we do everything that needs to be done in order for him to get a visa and not be denied. He was told at the U.S embassy that if he is denied a work visa he can not reapply.And also that it was highly unlikely that he will be approved at all. If anyone reading this knows of a company here in the United States, (In the New england states).That may be willing to sponsor My Fiance' PLEASE let me know.I love reading all the success stories on this forum. Just waiting for the day I can add mine. Love and best wishes to all.

H1B - H4 Succeffully restamped at Mumbai Consulate on Nov 16, 2009
I scheduled interview in Mumbai consulate on November 16, 2009 - 12.30 pm.
I reached VFS office at 11.45 am and took breakfast and VFS office bus took us to the Mumbai consulate at 12.15 pm.
Visa officer called me at 2.30 pm for an interview.
I and My wife went inside in the door no 14.
Here are the conversion
I - Good afternoon Sir.
VO - Good afternoon.
VO - Are working in xxx company ?
I - Yes.
VO - What are you doing for this Company ?
I - I am xxx.
VO - Your company is doing xxx.
I - Yes.
VO - checking something in computer for 1 minute.

Me: No
Counselor: Have you been to US before on f1?(again no idea)
Me: No,i never been to US
Counselor: What are you going to do with new company?
Me: They hired me as programmer analyst .
Counselor:Are you going to do project?
Me:Yes(with obvious face).
Counselor: what project are you going to work?
Me: ACS got various client so i will be doing protal's Development and deployment for clients (i continued). I am going to get requiremetns from clients,design and develop protals .My main techonlogy is java so i will be writting java programs(she kept blank face when i said this ,guess she dont what java means).
Counselor: What is your highest degree?
Me: Msc at leed metropolitan university.
Counselor: Is this engineering course?
Me: Yes(i got confused by this questions)
Counselor:How many years this programme is?
Me: 1 year (then i knew why she asked earlier question),i continued and said i have also done my b-tech which is 4 year
Counselor:Where have you done your b-tech?
Me:in Hyderabad .
Counselor:How long are you working with current company?
Me:11 months

I need your helping hand on my H1-B case.
I got the EAC number in random selection process in 2007. I went to consulate interview in jan 2008. At that time, they have given 221g blue form for additional administrative processing. After 1 month, they have given the visa rejection letter and in that letter they mentioned we are not issuing visa to you due to your employer is not registered with US government. I approached my employer regarding on this. They filled a motion again this ie they were reopened case in aug, 2008. From that day onwards it is showing same message
On August 13, 2008, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you.
So, now what can I do?
Would you please guide me, what are better options for to get visa?
