Hi All,
My slot is at 9.15 AM. I have reached consulate by 8 AM. First there will be a long queue is there outside the consulate. It took around 1 hour to get into consulate. Next one simple security check was there where the security people will check for electronic goods and other cieled covers. Next there was another counter where documnet verification was there. By seeing counters i thought that is only final interview place. But it was a counter where some indian employees will be sitting and arrange the docs and will put them in a small folder. Nest there will be another queue where we need to wait to enter into main building where visa interviews will be taking. There i had wait for 45 min. Next after entering in to main building there will be counters which will be railway ticket counters. First two counters they will take finger prints and then they will ask us to stand in a queue. In that queue it took 3 hours for me to reach VO.
Finally my interview started.....
Vo is an American guy.
Me:Hai
Vo:Hai, how r u
Me:I am fine, how abt u
Vo:Fine
Vo:What is your educational qualification
Me:Sorry (I didn't understand his accent)
Vo:Repated the question
Me:Sorry i didn't get you
Vo:Repeated the question again
Me:Batchlor of Technology in Computer scince
Vo:He checked the system for some time
Vo:Can i see your degree cetificate
Me:Given the same
Vo:He checked the certificate
Vo:Are you going to work in an Inhouse project
Me:Yes
Vo:what is the name of that progect

Finally golden words... happiest moments in life..
Vo:I am issuing your visa, you will get it through courier with in one wk...
Me:Thanl you.
Every will be telling be confident. You should be confident in such a way that you will get visa at any cost...
So be happy, feel free, pray god and attend the interview, sure you will get the visa.

221g blue from chennai
hey all
i got 221 (g) blue form from chennai . I need some infrmation from u r side .
i have attended the interview on 27 th nov and the vo issued me 221 g blue form .
in that he is ticked in petioner columns that
1)A notarized list of all the petitioner's employees for each location.The list should show all employees' names,their specific job titles,start dates, end dates, and their individual salaries and immigration status.
2)he mentioned that no passport to drop .
3)he kept all the documents with them ( I 797, I 129 , LCA , company tax douments , quartely wage reports of 2007 , ds156, ds 157 )
i cant understand why he kept all these .
plz any one suggest what is going on

Query regarding correction in DS-156
Hi ,
My visa appointment date is on 5th Dec 2007. Unfortunately i have entered incorrect passport expiry date in DS-156 form. When i try to edit the form in VFS, i am unable to edit the details.
Can any one tell me how to rectify this issue?
I tried by sending a query to chennai consulate they replied that i can correct before consulate officer but final decision is taken by consulate officer, he may reject Visa also.. if required.
Any body has faced simlar situation, please let me know. Your guidance is highly appreciated.

I have got date of 4th Jan for Visa Interview.But now some of my friends are telling that it is not the good time for Interview as during this time the rejaection rate is High. Can anyone tell me is this True?

Hi Friends
One of my friend went for H1B visa stamping at Delhi, But they redirected me to Chennai. They said I should go and get stamping in Chennai and not Delhi. They provided me 221g Green color stating that
"APPEAR AT THE APPROPRIATE CONSULATE NO SOONER THAN 90 DAYS".
By this statement i can clearly make it out that i cant go for stamping before 90 days. Am I correct? I am just confusing. Within 90 days my HDFC DD will get expire.
Did anyone had a situation like this?
Is there any wany I can go for stampig before 90 days??????

I want to say that there is no luck and all. mostly they
will the company is very genuine company and you too.
That mostly will bring you the confidence. The normal
thing , dress well and appear in smiling face.
My interview time is 10AM on 28th. I have reached
counsulate by 8.45. security persons checked my
passport,interview letter & HDFC recepit. then they
allowed me to enter. Please dont bring anything with
you excpet ur necessary documents.dont bring any
electronic devices like mobile, laptop , CD ,etc.
they redirect me to go & stand in the counter.They
checked my DS-156, DS-157 and I797 & I 129. They
have arranged my documents and kept in a file and
give back to me.
Then , I went for finger-print. I was standing for 10
minutes in that queue. after that one person came and
asked me to stand in the 6th counter. its a separate
counter. When i was standing, VO checks the
documents for a guy about 20 minutes ( i was little
nervous). after that very few persons. mostly all got
through. i was watching everyone who attend before
my turn. then my turn came . here it goes
VO : GoodMorning sir
ME : GM sir, How r u doing sir
VO : I am good, Thank you
( he looked all my I 797, I-129 , DS 156, and DS-157)
VO : Are u going to work for the xxx company?
ME : Yes sir
VO : Are you working for client or inhouse project.
ME : No sir, Its not a inhouse a project.I am going to work for yyy company(client name)
[please avoid to say inhouse project. bcoz mostly they are nt allowing now a days in chennai. or please submit proper documents]
VO : Do you have the client letter?
ME : yes sir. i showed
He checked my client letter and offer letter.
He was typing and looking at the computer for sometime for 1 minute.
VO :How many years of exp do you have
ME : I said 4 yrs
VO :ok. Howlong you are working in the current company?
ME : past 2 years.
VO : Do you have Unemployment wages report?
ME : No Sir,
VO : Do you have employer's tax returns?
ME : yes sir , I have.
VO : OK. (He was again looking at computer and searching something).
After few minutes, the golden words came...
VO : I am issuing the visa... Have a pleasant time..
ME : Thank you very much sir.
My Observations : No need to worry about anything. Just need to get all documents from the employer and be confident. thats it. I left by 10.15 AM.

No need to take any new appointment .you can attend to chennai consulate for interview on any of these days Tuesday or Wednsday or Thursday.
