Help required ... print mistake in the visa stamp
hi frnds,

My H1B stamping is done on 22nd March (as i mailed u earlier) , and I received my stamped passport on 28th March. But when I verified, I found that there is a print mistake in the Passport number which is being printed on the VISA STAMP.

Instead printing 'F7132959' ,
It has been printed as 'E7132959'

If anyone faced such kind of problem, pl. let me know how to get it corrected. Let me know whom to contact, and how to get it rectified.

pl. reply back at the earliest.

Thanks a lot.

Received 221(g) at chennai yesterday for H1/H4
My experiences at chennai yesterday. It was little crowdy yesterday as I reached the main VO building in 30 min. Also as per my knowledge they haven't issued a single H1 (not the companies who send from india to their US branch)

1) How do u get to know XYZ
Me : refferral
2) certificate
Me : Given the certificate. he verified in his system based on my roll no.
3) To my wife :
    1) when did u get married : said the date
    2) do u work : No
4) Will you be working for a client or inhouse..
Me : I will be working for their product development team.
5) Do you have any description on this?
Given one page description and project plan
6) XYZ of product?
I said it's one of the components of the product. 7) technical design : Given (a 100+ pages document)
8) Market analysis: Given
9) He looked for through the document for 4-5 min. and was searching in the system for some info..
10) Is XYZ any way related to ABC : No
11) Seeing photographs in my hand, he asked them and seen the photos
12) So XYZ has a good employee base, Is this the HQ and were all the employees placed here?
Me: This is the HQ and most of the employees work at client places.
13) I feel your employer doesn't require you badly as he has sufficient no already.

so I require more info on how u will be utilized and issued a 221(g) and asked for lot of documents.

Not sure where things went wrong as I have submitted a huge technical description on the product that they are actually developing.

I have earlier travelled on B1, he didn't notice even or ask my experience certificates(having near about 7 yrs of exp.) and worked with 3 among the Top 10 MNCs and 2 Top 10 indian companies.
So what companies you work doesn't matter.

What are the chances of getting the Visa if the documents are submitted.

Will they ask for any additional docs again?

Where did the things go wrong?

got 221g at london us embassy
I was getting very nervous to add my expercience
as i have got 221g at london us consulate. But thought that my experience will be helpful for future aspirants and thought i could get some suggestions from all of you.my interview was at 1:30 on 23 jan 06 and i reached the embassy at around 12:30
After a wait of around 2:30 hrs my number was called.

Vo:good afternoon
Me:Good afternoon officer how are you doing?

Vo:great thanks and you?
Me.Fine officer

Vo:In which college you are studying?
Me:(I was a bit surprised)I am not studying in a college officer i am working in a company xxxxx
since 2 and half years.

Vo:oh....

Vo:Are you married?
Me:yes officer i am on a dependent visa here.

Vo:Do you have children?
Me:No officer

VO:You are going for work in us?
Me:yes officer

Vo:How you came to know your US Employer.
Me:I have posted my resume in Monster. They happened to pick my cv becoz my skill were matching with the requirements what they were looking.

Vo:how Big is your us company?
Me:small but a developing company

Vo:(started looking at my certificates)where did you do your graduation?
Me:In india officer

Vo:Sorry Mam u need to go to India and get it stamped there becoz we cant evaluate your education credentials as your education is from india.
Me:I have got my education evaluation certificate officer.(actually when i have filed for h1b i have got a query regarding my education evalution so i did have my education evaluation certificate while attending for interview)

Vo:sorry mam that wont be sufficiant (he dint even look at those certificate) becoz your higher education is also from india we need to evaluate that also and it will be very difficult for us to evaluate here in uk. so if you go to india it will take less time for you as they are aware of your education there. we can also do here but the process will be very long and it will take time so better go to india and get it stamped.
Me:Ok officer but the problem is as i havent resigned from my present company.if i go to india also i dont know how much time its going to take in india.i will not be able to get that much leave here.i dont want to loose this job becoz if its going to take long time in india i will loose up ending this job i dont want to happen that.

Vo:ok Mam you need to decide that.we can process your application here in uk but it will take very long time for you.
Me:no problem officer i want my application to be processed here itself.

Vo:give me all your certificates
Me:i gave all my documents(including my marks certificates, all the documents that i have got from my employer)

Vo:only returned my passport with a stamp on the back as application received and on the top 221g is written.
Me.thanks officer

till now i havent heard(its aleardy 2 and half months)I am very worried as all my certificates are with the consulate.how long the process will take its a request to alll the members of immihelp what can be done futher from my side.

Cool Guy..

Everytime you attend the interview you have to take a fresh DS 156 and 157 forms. And it is not compulsary that you have to attend the same VO. You can be placed in any queue.

H4 documents
i have few questions regarding the documents that are needed for a H4 visa
applicant. I have a visa appointment for H1 visa. I have my H1 approval
with me and my husband who is applying for a H4 visa didnt get his H4
approval yet. But he has the receipt # for his application. I am wondering
if he can provide a copy of my H1B approval to the consular at the US
embassy with our marriage ceritificate and his documents that proofs his
current status in US. Please let me know your answer? Could you also
please send me a list of documents that are needed for a H4 applicant
