I-130 service center
Hi all,

I have filed I-130 for my mom and on my USCIS account under "case status" tab it says: "It is being processed at our Nebraska Service Center location." However, at the end of on notice letter it says "Potomac service center". Which one should I rely on? Does anyone have the same experience?

Marriage-based Green Card and EAD: Timeline and Process
I received a lot of help with regard to the timeline of my marriage-based green card and EAD from this forum and thought I would give back to the community here. Thanks!

Date format: YYYY/MM/DD

Location: New York, NY (Manhattan office)
Priority Date: 2019/10/11
2019/10/11: I-485, I-765, I-131, I-130 applications received by USCIS
2019/10/26: Received 4 Notice of Actions
2019/11/1: Biometrics Appointment Notice
2019/11/15: Biometrics Appointment
2019/12/12: Request for Initial Evidence for I-485 (need another form of birth certificate from Taiwan)
2019/12/19: RFE response received by USCIS
2019/12/30: Status changed to "Case ready for an interview"
2020/3/12: "New card is being processed" (EAD Combo)
2020/3/13: "I-765, I-131: "Case is approved"

***EAD Combo card lost in mail: went through the whole process of multiple trips to the USPS and calls to USCIS-->conclusion is that they do not issue cards lost in mail, only the ones that were not deliverable and sent back to them***

2020/3/24: Submitted a service request-->no help
2020/3/30: Refiled I-765 and I-131 received by USCIS
2020/4/23: Expedite request filed by Congressman Jerry Nadler's office-->Extremely helpful! Thank you!
***I initially sent three requests to Kirsten Gillibrand (replied after 1.5 months), Chuck Schumer (no response), and Jerry Nadler (have actual people in his office and are reachable by phone). The reason for the expedite request is loss of income in an upcoming job offer.***

2020/4/27: Expedite request approved
2020/5/11: New card being produced
2020/5/12: Refiled I-765 and I-131: Case is approved)
2020/5/13: Received refiled EAD Combo
2020/5/15: Received approval notices of refiled I-765 and I-131
2020/10/15: I-485 "Interview was scheduled"
2020/10/23: Received interview notice (12/1)
2020/11/18: GC medical exam at Dr. Kevin Lin (Manhattan downtown)-->fast, efficient, and affordable-->highly recommend
2020/11/27: Interview on 12/1 is canceled-->received a phone call from an officer from the New York USCIS office; did not provide reasons for cancellation but just said that I should expect a new interview notice in two weeks
2020/2/8: Received new interview notice (3/1)-->the gap was more than three months and not the two weeks the officer indicated-->numerous phone calls to USCIS and requests to Ombudsman-->no luck
2020/3/1: Interview at Federal Plaza
***The interview was straightforward and we prepared more than sufficient information for the officer. We received an official "Notice of Interview Results" and checked "Your case is being held for review", which is the usual response given.***
2020/3/1: I-485 "Case is being produced" the same afternoon
2020/3/2: I-485 "Case is approved"
2020/3/5: Green card in hand

Please let me know if you guys have any questions regarding the process. I realize that this is a lengthy and sometimes frustrating process but as someone who's overcome this, I'm very willing to share my experience and answer any questions! Best of luck with your immigration routes.

Interview scheduled :)
Very excited and nervous at the same time.

I have been living in the US for over 14 years out of status, from a B2 visa. I am the beneficiary. My partner is the petitioner. We are the same age, he is actually 1 month older than me (We are 35 year olds).

This is the real deal now haha...

We got married in January 2020 but didn't file till June 2020 as we wanted to gather more docs for proof of bona-fide.

We didn't have a big wedding. Something very small at the city hall, just the judge and 3 closest friends of ours and a friend who's a photographer (how convinience)

In the original package we sent:

-ID's matching address
-Copy of car insurance and car insurance card with both names on it.
-Copy of 1 credit card with both names on it.
-Copy of ComEd bill and internet with both names on it.
-Copy of checking account statement with both names on it
-10 pictures
-Lease with both names on it.
-Rent rcpts from our landlord with both names on it.
-Copy of 3 affidavits confirming our relationship.
-A lot of email print outs from the USPS email delivery service showing we both get mail at the same address.

We are planning on bringing just a few more pictures and latest bills and rent rcpts and renewed lease, plus renter's insurance under both names we got back in June last year and also 6 months of bank statements from my account and his account. Both of our names are on each other accounts but we have separate checking accounts. We'll also bring taxes for last year.

I don't have health insurance just yet because I haven't been issued a SSN, and I know that may be a red flag, but who knows.

I am a little nervous of course, because I have continued to accept work illegally, random jobs like construction, Uber, food delivery, etc. I know they're going to grill me about that. I however was very honest and checked-mark YES to working illegally in the I-485.

Any tips that you may have for this interview will be greatly appreciated.

My timeline so far:

PD 06/30/2020. Chicago field office.

-01/27/20: Same sex couple, married to USC.
-06/29/20: Package I-130, I-130A, I-131, I-485, I-693, I-765, I-864, I-864 joint sponsor and I-944 sent via certified mail USPS.
-06/30/20: Delivered by USPS and signed by Chicago lockbox T Thomas.
-07/25/20: Checks cashed.
-07/30/20: Text messages received with case confirmation numbers.
-07/31/20: Received NOA's in the mail.
-08/05/20: Received RFIE notification from USCIS for I-485, letter to follow via mail.
-08/10/20: Received RFIE in the mail asking for my partner's pay stubs for the last 6 months and letter of employment.
-09/18/20: Mailed out RFIE to Lee-Summit's office.
-09/21/20: USCIS confirms they've received RFIE.
-10/27/2020: Called USCIS regarding biometrics appointment not yet scheduled. USCIS send E-Request to Chicago FO.
-11/10/2020: Immigration officer reaches out to me via phone call to explain the reason I haven't received a biometrics appointment, appointment will come eventually.
-11/23/2020: USCIS files another E-Request for biometrics.
-12/04/2020: USCIS confirms biometrics appointment has been scheduled and letter with details is in the mail already.
-12/05/2020: Biometrics appointment scheduled for December 21st 2020.
-12/21/2020: Biometrics taken.
-12/22/2020: Biometrics applied to cases.
-12/29/2020: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

No EAD.

Thank you guys.

I-130 case for sibling
Hi everyone! I am looking for some advice here and at the same time I am also curious about what other people experienced in a similar case. I have filed I-130 for my brother on 01/05/2017 and I got a I-797C notice of action on 01/12/2017. ( I live in the US and I filed from Florida) Since then I kept checking the case status but other then "we received your I-130 case" message nothing happened with the case. It's been more then 4 years. Is it normal? Is there anything i can do about it? Can I submit an “outside normal processing time” service request? What would you suggest? Anything would help. Thank you for your time in advance.

Mother has filed I-130 F2B petition online.
Going to record my timeline:
There is no information on the forum for !-130 petitions filed online with USCIS. The case numbers start with IOE.
This Experience is going to track the entire process.

Step1: Online application filed in USCIS online and receipt number granted.
I got a receipt. it starts with IOE. IOE indicates it is an I-130 application filed online.
My priority date, based on the receipt is 27th May 2020.

Step2: Currently waiting to get the I-130 approval. As of writing it has been 8 months, since the receipt notice was sent.
I have no idea how long it will take to get the I-130 approval notice. by May 27 2021, it would have been exactly 1 year.

For now I am just waiting. Stay tuned for further updates......,
If anyone had E-filed in the same timeline, as men and has gotten an approval do let me know.

Thanks

To be continued......
