I-751 and divorce
Hello everyone,
Like always this forum has been so helpful for me and I don’t hesitate to say at times I got better answer from here the lawyers can give please suggest as per your experience. I have already filed for I-751 wavier and got the 18 months extension however my divorce is not final yet and I have initiated the divorce in court based on adultery which my wife did and based on one year separation. Her attorney wants to dismiss my complaint of divorce and file for a mew divorce based on mutual agreement cause we don’t have no kids and all the property we owed had been distributed now my question is does it matter to USCIS who among us files for the divorce and on what grounds ? Please sugg

lock box or UPS
Hi everyone, just wondering if it is safe to send to lockbox with USPS or use UPS/FedEx to send the address below:
USCIS
Attn: I-751
1820 E. Skyharbor Circle S
Suite 100
Phoenix, AZ 85034

I am wondering if it it is the same place or does it affect the process time of your application if you choose one or the other?
any experience is appreciated !

traveling while I751 pending
Hi everyone,
I have a question and would be very happy if anyone can share experiences, information or knowledge. My green card is expiring on September 19, 2021. I will be filing my I751 on June 20th. Can I travel internationally after I submit my case with a valid green card? or do I have to wait for the receipt? Will I have any problem when I come back if I travel without receipt but with a valid green card?
Thank you!

Nov 18,2020 - GC Expired
May 3, 2021 - RFI - They request the divorce decree as I applied while divorce was still in court

May 27,2021 - Your case has been approved - The same day of my College Graduation MBA :')

I sent over joint tax returns, lease, bills, cc statements, bank statements, a letter from me explaining the reason of divorce along with tons of proof, family pictures

Does anyone know when can I apply for my citizenship? I received the conditional residence card on Nov 18,2018 and I am now divorce from my ex US Citizen spouse.

Thank you!!!

Travel Abroad
Hi everyone!

I submitted my I 751 back in January. Got notice of my extension I 797 a couple of months later and my greencard is now expired. Am I able to travel abroad with this notice? I am afraid that they will give me a hard time coming back or that the I 797 form is not enough to get let back in. If any of you have any experience with this I would appreciate it!

I made mistake while filling my I751
My current green card will be expired on May 17 2021. So I filled the form I751 and sent to the USCIS PO box in AZ on 04/09/2021. The tracking showed me that the package was delivered on 04/11/2021 until Now I do not hear anything from them yet, the check was not cashed also.

After re-check the form, I recognized I did not check in one box (Join filling), I should check I join filling with my spouse but I did not. It makes me more worry that they gonna reject my application and send it back to me. Only 2 more weeks my status will expired. What should I do now? Any advises please, I am freaking out right now 😞

I751 Removing Green Card Conditions
Hello, fam!

Here is my timeline so far:

Case filled in Texas (same sex marriage).

Sent package on 2/26/2021 (AZ PO BOX)
Received 3/1/2021
Two weeks ago got my receipt notice & 18 months extension.
4/22/2021 Fingers print were taken (Didn’t go there they just used the ones they had).

Wonder what the processing time for Texas Service Center is & if any of you guys have similar timeline.

We sent lots of evidence from the last 2 & 1/2 years:

House lease contract.
House title of a property we own out of state.
Car insurance in both names with both vehicles
2 years Bank statements proving bills are paid from both accounts.
Utility bills:
- Internet
- Phone
- Lawn service we used.
- Water
- City
Taxes from the last two years (filled jointly).
Costco membership
Affidavits from friends
Pictures with both families.
Travel plans including hotels and airline tickets.
Vehicle lease contracts and title in both names.
All our bank accounts in both names.
Paperwork showing me as beneficiary of my husband.
Doctors record showing both as emergency contact listed as spouse.
Driver license with same address.

Remember to submit lots if evidence even tho you might think you are over doing it but it’s better to have more than less specially when removing conditions.

Any question, just ask

Thank you!

Form I-751
Hey, quick question, my Conditional resident card will up for renewal starting April 4th 2021 (90 days) , we sent the package or application and was received on the 9th (which is within the time frame) but my question is that on the form I-751 the signatures were signed on the April 1st 2021 (the time all the documents were ready). I heard people it don’t matter because it is when the application was received that is considered the 90 days notice. Any1 with a similar experience or idea?
