221g no slip given Hyd
I had my interview on 9/26 and was asked basic questions like where is my employer located, pay, highest level of qualification etc.
I have been working as an FTE for the same company for a while and this is my first time F1 to H1 conversion. I was told they will need to do some backend processing for few days at the end and wasn’t given any slip.

My case doesn’t have any update after the interview date and I’m worried about the timelines. Anyone else interviewed around the same time last week and got any update? Thanks.

delays in receiving H1B approval notice
Hi All

i just got my H1B amendment petition approved for switching the legal entity of the employer from company A to company B.
the petition was approved on Sept 10 2019 using Premium processing and the email notification to the employer said "The form I-797 Approval Notice will follow in the mail"
the lawyers said that it will take about a week to receive the actual approval notice in mail but now we are Sept 30th and nothing received yet.

the petition was done by the Nebraska Service center.

First H1 Stamping - Barbados US Consulate
Hi Guys,

I wanted to write my experience as I had a hard time finding answers to my questions for H1 Stamping in Barbados .

My profile, I came to the US on F1 Visa and worked for 1 year on OPT after graduation. I got laid off in April 2018 and had to enroll in another University to maintain status.

I joined X company on CPT in October 2018 and they filed for my H1 in premium processing in 2019. I received an RFE asking me for the documents related to status.

I promptly replied with the documents as well as parking tickets and receipt for books. USCIS sent a notice that my visa is approved but COS is ineligible.

My company immigration team suggested to travel to India or Barbados for stamping. Barbados has visa on arrival for Indian Citizens.

You cant go to Mexico for first time stamping. India had a wait time of 52 days so I chose Barbados. The risk was that if the process gets delayed, I will be stuck in Barbados.

I took the risk and decided to go to Barbados for H1 Stamping. Here is the journey so far.
Landed Day 1 - Enjoyed beach and sunshine. Great Food and People.

Day 2 - Day of Appointment - Visited Embassy in the morning at 8 am. Waited for 15 mins before escorted by the person inside embassy. It took us 5-10 mins for the security check. You can carry your phone. They just ask you to turn it off before your go inside and they give you a locker to keep your bags and phones. They check your passport and photos and DS 160 receipt at the gate. Then you would be escorted to the waiting area and then to the finger printing counters. The lady (not consular officer) at the counter asked for passport and photos and my I797.
She gave us a number and asked us to wait in the line. There were 3 windows and all the consular officers questions to the candidates were clearly audible to everyone! Anyway, our number came and we saw a lady officer. She asked me about the company and what do I do there. I mumbled something as I was nervous. The next question was 'you were in US for school'? I said yes and added that I graduted. To which the lady said 'I assume so'! She was typing all this time without looking at us. Those 2-3 minutes lasted forever.

Anyway then i heard the golden words that your visa is approved and you can collect it from the DHL centre near the airport in 3-5 business days.

Wish everyone all the best for their stamping.

ds-5535 after interview
We have an f4 visa type, and one member in the family ( my son 19 years old) was given the ds-5535 form to submit (which he did), after the interview.
The CC told him not to worry, because he told her that his university will start this fall, but she assured him that he can defer his entrance to the university until spring.
We were told that they can go on issuing us the visa for my wife (main applicant), me and my daughter, but asked us if we want to think it over first, since my son was not issued yet.
we decided to go on with the visa and that my son can follow us later.
one hour later, we were called and told that my wife needs to fill the ds-5535 too and since she is the main applicant, we were on hold too.
18 days have passed and on the CEAS status only my son is under Administrative Process and we have "READY" status showing.
It was updated once since the interview and it changed from 12 september to 18 september and still shows"READY", but my son was not updated and still shows 12 september AP.
the forms for DS-5535 we filled on the same day and emailed for both my wife and son.

[P.S My wife got a visit visa last year for 5 years and was asked to fill the ds-5535, and got an answer in 10 days, but when the counselor was going to stamp a new visa she told her that she will need to cancel the old one, which she did]
Can any one explain what we are going through, thanks

H1b administrative processing
Hi

I had my interview today at Hyderabad.
VO asked client letter, lCA, highest degree, any student visa issues earlier, used opt, do you know the us working rights
VO then took my passport and said your visa requires admin processing and might take two weeks. I did not get any slips(white or blue or pink)

Do you know what it means if no slip is given for admin processing and how long does it take.

This is my 2nd extension stamping

In your experience (personal or from reading other cases here), how many did it take from ISSUED to READY FOR PICKUP?

Thank you
