Can we book visa interview date with any consulate?

Successful Stamping in chennai
I had my H1 interview on September 8 2005 at US Consulate Chennai. They asked me just few questions and my visa was approved. Be confident and definetely you will get it. All the best for people who will be going for interview in the coming days.

H1B Visa Chennai Consulate
I got my visa approved and they didnt even ask me any questions. PLEASE remember to dress FORMALLY!!! they like to see people in suits/ western formal wear. Avoid Indian mannerism - prove to them you can fit in, in their country. Articulate and speak with clarity. Everything will be fine if u r honest and straightforward.

E1, It's nice to c that this site is helping a lot for people who want to go US.Can any one let me know that can I go to Delhi consulate as my employer wants me to join in oct and for me date was not available for chennai consuate.Will this not create a problem for me in delhi....

H1B stamping @ chennai
I got my H1 stamping from Chennai.
During my first interview they checked my MS certificates and asked information on client. Thne they requested a letter from employer about the project and my employer was able to provide the same. In the next visit I was granted visa. I found the process very smooth.

mistake on visa
Hi to all,
I need reply to my message. I got H4 Visa stamped but they put wrong Date of Birth on Visa and i my date of birth is correct on Passport.
I would like to know whether i can travel with this visa or i have to change or apply for visa correction anything is like that mail me on [email protected]

You can attend the interview in delhi/chennai/calcuttas in INDIA FOR STAMPING AND if you are staying for a short period you can always go for emergency stamping.And as you are already on H1 its' nota great probelm for you to get stamping.Dont worry.
