H1B Stamping experience
I had appointment on 7th Sep 2005. Before going to interview was reading this site and was very useful so thought of sharing my experience here.

I had appointment for me (H1B).
My interview was very short. The guy looked like a Middle aged. He asked me just seven straight questions.

1.How did you know about this company and from where you got this information?
2.What is the name of your company?
3.How many years of experience you have?
4.When did this company started?
5.what is the turn over of this company?
6.How many people are working in this company?
7.What is the annual salary?

Answer the questions very confidently.

Thanks & Regards,
Skumar

H1B Questions
1. What sh'd be the answer for the following question in DS-157?
List all Professional, Social and Charitable Organizations to Which You Belong (Belonged) or Contribute (Contributed) or with Which You Work
(Have Worked). Shall we give our previous employer name in this, since it is mentioned as professional organization??

2.Is form DS-157 to be filled for Female H1B non-immigrants or is it only for male??

3.I have not made any travel arrangements.I need to do that only after getting the Visa stamped. So what sh'd be the answer for the following question in form DS-157? i.e.,Have You Made Specific Travel Arrangements?

Please reply to my e.mail id.

Questions for H1B immigrant
Dear friends,

I have the following doubts to be clarified.

1.Basically i stay in Delhi, but my petition was filed using my native address, and all my documents are filled with native address. I am also planning to give the same native address in DS-156 form. Will it be a problem, since i am not giving the address of the place where i am actually residing.??

2.What should be the answer for Question No:26 in form DS-156? i.e., How long do you intend to stay in U.S.?

3.What sh'd be the answer for Question No:24 in form DS-156? i.e., At what addres will you stay in the U.S.?? I have to look for a place once i reach there. In this case can i give my employer's address??

H4 visa extension
Hello,

My wife came into US on H4 visa. Now both our visas are expired on the passport. However, we have our visa papers extended for another year. My wife is planning to visit India for one month. The interview dates seem to take longer in Chennai. Is there a way by which she can get her visa stamping done within the one month stay in India? What are her options?

If F1 rejected, will there be any problem while attending for H4 with my first H
Hi,

I have booked an interview slot at Chennai next month along with my wife, for her H4.

Actually my wife has attended for F1(Student Visa) 2 to 3 years back and got rejected at that time.

Here, I have a big doubt about my wife's Student VISA Refused mark on her passport. it was 2 to 3 years back.

My question is?

Is That Refused VISA (For MS/Student) mark on my wife's passport plays any Impact on My H1B and H4 for my wife while she attend for visas in next month?

If there is any impact, what would be the problem?

Will they refuse to both of us? or refuse only H4 for my wife?

what are the questions we may expect from consulate guys on that mark in her (Future) visa interview??

what could be the result from that?

I would be thankful to you, if you can give be the idea on how to approach.

Awaiting reply,

Maddy.

got appointment on 22 sep
Hi everybody,

I got my H1b approval and my interview at consulate is on 22nd sep, Previously i worked in muscat for about 3 months and came back to India in the month of May, and free after wards due to family problems and a traing session. As a requirement , we should get pay stubs for the last six months which i donot have, as i was not paid in muscat. And i donot have appointment letter too but i got a valid work visa for muscat, valid for two years.

Advise me to attend interview, with this kind of status , and i am in possession of my "Residence Card" issued by Royal Oman Police.

Please advice fast, thank u all in advance.

Regards
Raghu
