221(g)- Chennai
I had my H1B interview at Chennai consulate on Oct 12, the V.O asked some basic questions and asked for the documents(Lca,1797, petition docs) then he handed over me a yellow slip and asked me to wait. After 2 hours I was called to another room and an Indian lady came and asked my project docs and client location photographs. After 10 minutes I again called to first counter where I had the interview with V.O. He handed over my passport along with a blue slip with "your application is refused for administrative processing" option checked. They mentioned a case number top of it. I tried to track this number in "https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=q/FgeJVmEHr4rG/XfVdaZw==" in this site. But it did not return any data.
Guys Please help me. I have few doubts,
On which site I can track my case and what is this administrative processing? Is this a rejection?

H1-B Visa in Construction Management
Hello Everyone,

I am currently working as an Project Engineer in a construction company. The company i work for submitted the H1B petition and was approved. I had my Visa Interview today (Oct 11, 2018) and the consulate gave me the blue 221(g) slip and advised my case will be going through administrative processing. He had also mentioned that there is nothing to be concerned about and no additional documentation is needed. however, i am highly concerned.

The only thing i can think of is, on my OPT extension i-983 form my designation is called out as assistant project manager, where i got promoted from project engineer. Then, when my petitioner filed H1B, they filed with my current role- Project Engineer. So the i-983 calls out Assistant Project Manager and my approved H1B petition calls out as Project Engineer. Is this something to be concerned about ?

Are lots of cases randomly going through Administration Processing ? Is there any thoughts or advises ?

Thank you.

H1B Extension stamping HYD Oct 9th 2018 Admin Processing
Only documents allowed nothing else is allowed inside the consulate

I attended the visa interview today in HYD consulate @ 11am and this is my extension stamping.
I have a new H1(I-797B) from same employer since my previous H1 was taking too long and it had RFE too and my I-94 expired in Sep 2017. So I got the new H1 with approval on Sep 21st till Feb 28th 2019.
Since my I-94 expired in Sep 2017 and I was waiting for my approval notice I had to come to HYD to renew my I-94.

Oct 9th 2018 HYD consulate @ 11am
Interview questions:

Who is your employer?

How long have you been working with this employer?

Since I have an I-797 B the VO went inside and called someone to check and ask regarding this and someone came near the PC and was explaining and showing my I-797B since my I-94 expired in Sep 2017.

After that the VO asked again questions regarding

They asked my LCA?
Who is your employer?
How long have you been working with this employer?
Who is your client?
They asked my designation?
What is the Highest degree I have?

Then they gave me a white slip which has further admin processing is required before a final decision can me with a case number

1)DOES ANYONE HAS WHITE SLIP ADMIN PROCESSING WITH SECOND BOX CHECKED?
2)HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS? I HAVE BOOKED MY RETURN JOURNEY ON OCT 19TH
3)SHOULD I DELAY MY RETURN JOURNEY? PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Thank you

Recent h1b stamping experience in hyd
Thanks for all who shared their experiences, I got comfortable after going through all their posts.

I’m a FTE with an investment bank and this is my second stamping experience

I’m sharing my experience

Finger prints : 30 Sep 2018
Visa interview : 1 Oct 3018
Status changed : 3 Oct 2018 afternoon ( 2nd Oct was a holiday)
Passport ready to pick up on 4th Oct 2018 evening

Questions asked :

Who is your employee
What is your pay
How long have you been working with them
How you got to know about this opening
What is your highest qualification
What is your position
What are your roles and responsibilities
Are you leading your team
Do you know your rights

Finally VO told that your visa is approved. Initially I was so tensed whether this is the right time to go for stamping post sep 11 changes, took a decision to go after reading all the experiences from this post. If you have all the docs then this is the best time to go. Also I don’t see any 221 slips were given on that day.

Thanks
Suresh
