Hello All,
Sharing my experience as this forum had been very helpful for past few years. I was eligible for drop box and below has been my experience.
11/23 - Dropped off passport, Old & New I-797
11/24, 11/25 - Weekend
11/26 - Status updated "Received"
11/27 - Status updated as "Admin Processing"
11/28 - Status updated as "Issued" around 9.30 AM
This is my 4th H1b stamping with an approved I-140 from Non IT background. I had about 9 months of gap in work situation and it did not have any impact (which I thought would be red flag) on renewing new visa as long as those gaps are appropriately bridged. filling with different category (F4/H4 or so).

AP since the day of interview

This was my first H1B interview. I got approved for H1B at my first attempt and was for F1 to H1. The VO appeared to be very strict. He rejected 3 visas before me. One F1 and other two tourist visas.
Me: Good Morning
VO: No Reply
VO: Are you going to the same employer who has filed petition for you?
Me: Yes
VO: Hand me over your I-797.
Me: Handed over the documents.
VO: What you do?
Me: I am a Software Engineer. **Wanted to say more but he cut in between**
VO: What's your Annual Salary?
Me: YYYY per annum
VO: Did you do master's from US?
Me: Yes
VO: Which year did you graduated?
Me: YYYY
VO: What were you doing in your OPT?
Me: I was looking for opportunities and organizations which fits my talents best. ** I worked for another employer for a very short period of time in my OPT. It just skipped from my mind at that time. Although I have mentioned the name of the employer in my DS-160 and also is updated in my USCIS records **.
VO: Okay I am keeping your passport and at this point of time we require more Administrative Processing which should be cleared in 2-3 business days or weeks, not sure what he said. And there was no slip provided to me.
Me: Thank you.
Its been 6 working days since then because 22 and 23 November was holiday for US Embassy at Delhi. When can I expect a decision and is there a chance of refusal in this case or is there anyone else in the same boat. Any help or information is appreciated. I have to cancel my return tickets because of this.

I have received 221g asking for several documents "from the petitioner". Can I submit those documents or only my employer should ?

Time:9.15 am
I appeared for h1b stamping at Mumbai. There was a lot of crowd. My appointment time was 9.15 but I appeared at the interview window at 10.00 a.m. By that time the VO was already frustrated with so many candidates before me. She asked me straightforward questions,
VO: Before asking questions, kept on typing something for a minute.
VO: Is this your first H1b ?
Me: Yes, with extension
VO: Do you work directly for your employer or is there a client ?
Me: Client, I said the client name
VO: asked to spell the client name. May be she couldn't find it in her system.
Me: Spelled it and told what my client does
VO: What is your highest level of education
Me: MBA
VO: what is your job title
Me: BI Data analyst
VO: your annual income
Me: YYYY XX USD
VO: Do you have dependents or kids traveling with you ?
Me: No
she started writing some more things then gave me a yellow slip and requested for additional documents. Cancelled my F1 visa which I dont use anymore.
She was giving 221g to almost everyone who went to her. Also, many other VOs were giving 221g to 80% of candidates. I think they are fresh and happy way early in the morning until 9 am. Post that they lose their patience. There was a long queue as well.
I heard many cases are already flagged whether they are going to approve or RFE before you even appear for interview. The 4-5 questions are only asked as formality. The way she kept on typing for a minute, I figured my case is going to be in 221g. I don't think I answered anything confusing. She didn't even ask me too many detailed questions, just few straightforward questions. Which means it must be predetermined that my case shall not be approved.
My suggestion: 221g is issued to anyone, FTE or EVC. However, changes of getting 221g is higher for EVC candidates. If you do not have I-140 approved, do not travel outside US. Get your I-140 approved, it makes your case stronger and chances of getting visa stamped are higher. I do not have I-140 approved, not sure how long it will take.

11/19 - Got the message "Passport ready for pickup", status was still AP
11/20 - Picked up passport, it had 221g slip indicating interview. Gave the interview on the same day. VO said visa is approved. Last updated date was changed to 11/20, but still showing AP

Hello,
Currently I am on L2 EAD and my employer has initiated H1B for me . I have got a RFE(Still havent got the details from our attorney :( ). Could someone share the format for the resume that I need to send? I am assuming that to answer any RFE resume is a mandatory doc. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am from oracle database background and I work as a data reporting analyst. So any related sample resume would be really helpful.
