H1b @ Chennai 221 G really scared
I had my interview on 13th April, basic questions and gave me 221 G. No docs required and returned my passport and all docs.
Still no update and application still in admin processing.
My flight is on 27th April, I don't think I can make it, still no emails or updates.
I do have a vendor but I had given the vendor and client letter during interview. Any idea of the timeline, I scared because they returned my passport.
Please let me know if anyone has similar scenario and any idea of the timeline. im really scared.

h1 and H4 visa experience
my husband and myself submitted docs in dropbox on March 22nd 2018, my husband return ticket booked on April 3nd and mine on July 2nd
26-mar-2018: got email to appear for fingerprint on 28th marl 2018 for h1 and for h4 got email to appear for fingerprints and interview on April 18th 2018.
28-mar-2018: my husband went for fingerprints
3-apr-2018: my husband visa got issued and next day got email to pickup the passport .
5-apr-2018: my husband collected the stamped passport .
H4 visa experiance:
18-apr-2018: went for fingerprint and interview, VO asked basic questions and finally he kept my passport and gave 221g white slip in thath he check you application needs more administrative process to make final decision and he said it will be in AP for 3 to 4 days and no need to worry.
last update on 18th April is in AP and there in no update still in AP from 18th april.
is it because of my travel date they are delaying my visa if anyone having same issue please share here so I can get some idea.

H1B 221(g) Hyd Consolate White Slip
I attended my H1B interview on 19-APR-2018, the VO asked basic questions and she returned me White Slip with Nothing marked on it.
During the Interview they have taken my I-129,I-797B and my LCA Document.
I did not receive any email to submit any documents.

Apr 11th - Finger Prints at Hyderabad VAC
Apr 12th - Interview
Apr 12th - Case status shows to be under Administrative Processing (Last updated 12th)

Asked for I797A
Handed it.
VO kept the passport with him. Did not issue any pink/yellow/white (221g) slips.
Mentioned passport is on hold and your case will have to go through necessary administrative processing and process will be delayed for 1-2 weeks.
Apr 24th: Called the embassy on Apr 24th @ 91 40 46258222. (provided on website http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-main-contactus.asp#contactinfo)
Embassy people gave me the same info as on the website where we track passport and visa status and asked to wait since it still shows under Administrative Processing. Asked for a tentative date, since i am employed and my vacation is on tight schedule but did not get any info from them.
Note: when calling embassy at third step in automation they ask for UID. I was confused in the beginning, but press any number and it should connect you to an agent.
Hopefully everything goes well. Please post your status if you get any updates.

H1B visa status says Refused on day on interview.
I had my H1b interview on April 23rd at Hyderabad and VO asked some basic questions about client and then took the passport and handed over 221g white slip and said it takes 1 week for administrative processing.
But I checked my status on same day and it says "Refused" . I have seen in couple of sites that "Refused " is the default status and it will update to "Administrative Processing" in few days. Please help me in getting some info in these type of cases.

H1B Approved with Administrative Processing @ Mumbai
I had my H1B interview on April 23. The visa got approved but the VO said they need to do some administrative processing on their end which will take about 10 days. I did my masters and was previously on OPT before starting H1B in October 2016.
Following are my questions:
1) Please pass passport and i797. So you work for XYZ?
2) What is your highest degree?
3) What do you do at XYZ?
4) Where are you located?
5) When did you graduate and from what University?
6) Were you on OPT? When?

H4 drop box- 221g Admin Processing
My Wife went for H4 drop box in Chennai and during passport collection visa was not stamped and online CEAC status showed "Refused" . I dropped an email to Chennai consulate and after 10 days they replied with 221g slip mentioning to appear for interview and the CEAC status changed to "Admin Processing"
The only option checked in the 221g is "Appear for interview" and no other documents is requested.
Anybody faced the similar case? Since no other documents are requested what could be asked in the interview?

I had my visa interview on 20-Apr at Chennai.
I went in formal suit to be Professional and make a good impression even in hot summer at Chennai.
After entering the Gate they checked DS-160 ad said you are applying for 6 months H1B Visa and do you have any extension pending ?
I said NO. They asked me to proceed.

Answered.
2. You have worked for 2 different companies before in USA and why did you Change ?
I said I got opportunity to work on latest technology of my software and I changed the companies and the state I work.
3. How long are you working for current company?
8 months.
4. How much they pay ?
Answered exact pay. Appx Level 2.Above expected AVG.
5. Do you like to work for current company ?
Yes, I said as they pay better than my old companies.
6. What is your highest qualification?
Bachelors in Technology Electronics and Comm. eng.
7. Do you work for End Client and where ?
Yes, and in NY.
8. Explain your project and client details and what do you do ?
Answered 2 min. Keep it short and be confident. Smile and Eye contact.
9. Requested Client Letter, I797 all copies and LCA.

Ans: MS in mechanical and aerospace engineering
5. What was your research work on? Explain me
Ans: explained my research and background
6. Cross questioned my research work
Justified appropriately
7. Will u be working in aerospace
Ans: no sir i wont be
