Passport Tracking Location after H1 Visa Approval
Hey All,
I see many people seeing "Administrative Processing" when thry try to track their passport after Visa approval. I just wanted to check whether I am looking at the right place because for me it says "The Passport is Still with USEmbssy Consulate"
I am checking it here and I had my interview yesterday, Feb 7 (H1 Approved):

Seeking advice- H1B renewal, also want to do tourist visa for parents
I am currently in US on H1B. I have an expired visa but an approved extended petition.
I am planning to travel to india in march and get my visa renewed. While I am an in India, i want to get my parents a tourist visa as well
since its difficult for them to do it on their own. i prefer taking them with me when i go for my visa renewal and get theirs done too.
I am aware they will be interviewed seperately. But i am not sure what approach should i choose:
1. should i get my visa renewed first and then few days later get their done?
2. can we get done both the visa& on the same day? can this impact us in any way?
3. or get theirs first and then few days later mine?
I am going to travel back to US begining april and they will be visit me in May-June,

Worried about port of entry
Hello All,
Brief summary of my status:
* I am on H1B visa from 01-Oct-2015, Got visa stamped and valid through 31-Jul-2018.
* I have recently changed my client and went through amendment process. Now, got new I-797 with H1B validity till 29-Jan-2018.
* I am working at the client location through EVVC model
* I have travel plan to India for my Brother's marriage From Feb-26 to Mar-10
My Questions:
1) As part of collecting all documents for my travel, I got vendor letter from my first vendor, but my second vendor and end client did not provide any letters.
Instead, 2nd vendor and end client provided SoW (Statement of Work which does not include my name but just has roles and responsibilities, contract between 2 entities and contract end date).
Will there be any problem at the port of entry (DFW) if I carry this SoW and 1st vendor letter while I am returning back to US.
2) Also, I am worried after executive order and hearing that people on H1B visa even not from one of those 7 countries are deported back to their home countries.
Can you please share your recent port of entry experiences and suggest if it is good time to travel to India??

wife: no ( as she is on depended visa)

Meanwhile she took white form which i knew kind of 221g.
vo: ok your visa is issued.
i hand question in my mind as why she took 221g.
vo wrote case number and said your petition number is not update in our system, it might take 2 days extra and repeated, there is no issue with your visa. we just need some extra time, max 5 days.There is nothing wrong and we dont need any extra documents.
There is nothing check marked in 221g , so i felt happy as well.
Interview was quick and less than 2 mins. Most of them were parents coming for stamping and some h1bs.
Definitely there would be some worry as its an interview. But VOs are there to issues visa. Have proper documentation, that it self gives us immense confident and answer appropriate to questions, Thats it.
My wife insist in writing our experience as she was reading all that is posted here and helped.

My Interview was scheduled at 10.00 AM. I reached there around 9.15 AM and saw very long queue for 9.30 interview. As there are many candidates I got entry around 10.15 AM and Interview happen around 11.15 AM.
Interview sort of Rapid fire round. It hardly took 30 second to complete.

VI date: feb 7 9AM
got into line at 8:30 and came out in 1hr.
All questions were standard:
employer/salary/title/location/highest degree
in less than a minute interview finished and visa approved.
i work directly as FTE for a company with 200billion in revenue. this is my second H1B stamping with masters from US university and I-140 approved.
i dont know how many people on same day were approved as i wasn't paying attention but person before me was approved at counter 8.
be cool and confident. no masala is going over here as show in media.
