Received 221(g) blue slip in Chennai US Consulate
Hi,
I have attended OFC on Thursday November 13, 2014 and VISA Interview on Friday November 14, 2014.
After below few questions, he asked all the document i am holding and asked me to wait...

 Me: Good morning sir.
VO: No response to my Wish, asked my Pass port.
Me: passed both old and new passport
VO: returned old passport and asked me who is your employer
Me: Response with employer name
VO: Where is this company..
Me: Told accordingly..
VO: is this implementation or enhancement..
Me: Replied saying that implementation..
VO: Can i have all the documents you are having..
Me: Handed over
VO: given slip for waiting
Me: Waiting for 1 hour and got call again..
VO: Given me 221(g) and told we will get back to you with update soon...
Me: left the area with sad face..
When i check status, it is showing Administration processing...
Now my question is, there was not mentioned any mark in 221(g) asking for any further additional document...
1. What might be the reason..???
2.How they will inform me update???.
3. Will the status change at least after 3 months or 1 year...or will it be ever ending story....
I am keep checking status but no change...

Attend the OFC on Dec 18th 2014 and it was pretty straight as follows:

1) Arrived 1 hour earlier to the appointment time. Just 30 minutes should be more than enough as they let us in just 10 minutes prior to the appoinment

2) Please have your passport, appoinment confirmation page,DS160 document (It is recommened to take all the documents while we go to the interview to the consulate next day..In my opinion passport, appoinment confirmation and ds160 are required)

3) Appoinment Confirmation will be checed prior letting you in to the room where the security screening will take place

4) Passed the security and you will be given a token and you will be seated

5) Please proced to the counter when its your turn

6)passport,appoinment confirmation,ds160 will be taken

7) Fingerprints followed by a photograph and quick question ...why are you going to the USA..Answered it!

8) you will have your DS160 confirmation page stamped and this should be securely stored and presented at the next day when you appear for the consulate interview

9) Exit the building

For the consulate interview :

Arrived near the US Consulate an hour earlier ...They will only let you in just 30 minutes earlier to the appointment time.

1) All the candidates appearing for the interview are lined up and verifed the documents starting with DS160,Passport and Appoinment confirmation
2) Passed through the front door
3) you will be seated in the lounge in order to get ready for the security check same as we do in all the Airports
4) You will be given the counter number while entering through the security check point... Removed all the items from pocket, shoes, belt and make sure you dont have any sealed envelope as we cannot carry then inside
5) Passed the security check and you will be seated in a lounge where you wil be moved in to another lounge from where you reach the counter for interview
6) watch the monitor for your turn.

Here you go ..This is my turn.

7) Stood in the line and there are 5 more out of which 2 are students and followed by H1

8) The F1 students got there visa rejected as the officer was not happy with them ..Felt so sorry for them and officer was kind of pissed with them and shouted which panciked all the applicants and so I AM.

9) The person infornt of me was from a MNC from India for H1..Just asked him simple question ...who is your employer ...Visa approved...wow!!!

ME:Good Morning
VO:No reponse as I expected as he was pissed of with earlier applicants

VO :passport Please
ME:Here you go!

VO: who is your employer
ME:Replied

Vo: what is your salary?
ME:Replied as per LCA

Vo: Where is your client letter?
ME: gave it to him and took a quick glance of it

VO: Asked for the documents like pay stubs, bank statments,I20 ,Project documetation
ME:Showed all the documents accordingly.

Here comes the much awaited golden words for months...Visa Approved and he just hopped the passport in to the next basket

left the place quitely and was really happy for all the day

went to have a good lunch and celebrated the day!

Note: For Contractors client letter is 100 % if not I can say 1000% that being said friend of mine got visa apporved with out Client letter with lot of scrutiny.

The rest remains the same confidence and accuracy of answers.

Please go through your LCA in details

You can email me at [email protected] if I can be of any help.

221g ++ All the docs asked by VO were provided++
This is my experience at Hyd US Consulate for new H1 stamping on 8th Jan 2015.

VO just asked for the client, I said "ZZZ" (it is very big client).

She asked for petition I-129 to check if the client is part of the petition.
Went inside for 2-3 mins
Then came back asked me to wait in lobby.

Then another Indian VO came and said, this client is not in the petition and asked me for any client letter.

I gave him the Vendor letter and other below document as he asked them.

The docs asked,

Client Letter (It is letter from Vendor, end client didn't provide it. Mine is "Employer-Vendor-Client" case )
Contract between Vendor & Client
Contract between Vendor & Employer
LCA and petition I129 main pages.

After Asked to wait in lobby for a while, then called us for main VO counter
Then the main VO, said the case is in Administrative processing and will contact us for any more documents!!

What do you think guys, is it a gone case!!!

Appreciate your comments

H1B Cap Exemption eligibility for not travelling to US
Hi

I had earlier H1B approved petition I-797B from 2008-2011, however during this period I did not go for Visa stamping and I did not travelled to US. in 2012 again my employer in India applied for H1B Cap exempt case and received H1B approved petition I-797B. The I-797B is valid till 24.05.2015 and during this period I have been moved to another international assignment in UK and could not go for visa stamping and also travelled to US.

Now I am looking for fresh H1B sponsorship. My question is - do I come under Cap Exempt case, if yes then how long I will get new H1B valid for new application. My next question - Is it possible to transfer my current I-797B to a new employer and apply for extension.

Please suggest my best possible way. This time I will travel to US and work in US.

Thanks in advance
