Me and my spouse both got visas approved today. Wait time was almost 1.5 hr. Queue, security, DS-160 check, again security check, then again wait, finger print check. wait for the token to get its turn. Finally got the call.
Interview lasted for some 1-2 minutes:
Initial pleasantries.
Questions:
1. Client location?
2. Client Name?
3. Your designation?
4. How long working with this company?
5. I-797 validity period?
6. US Salary?
Questions for my spouse:
1. How long you have been married?
2. Are you working?
VO: You guys are set!
Tips: be cool and patient. Have your documentation ready. Make a double check. Answer questions confidenatly and in short sentences. Never lie. Best of luck.

H1B Stamping- Need more time for processing
I had my interview on Dec 3rd at 8.30 A.M, reached there by 8 AM, there was long queue waiting ahead of me at the embassy gate as well as the counters.
I had to wait for almost 1.5 Hrs after finger print check, before my token number came up at the screen.
Went to the counter, the VO at the counter asked me the following questions:
1. Company? ZZZ..
2. How long have you been with them? XX Yrs
3. I-129? Gave
4. Is this your work location? No, Gave them the New LCA.
5. Salary? YYY
6. Pay Stubs? Gave
7. Client Letter? Gave
8. Contract/PO with end client? Gave ... the Middle Vendor documents with client letter
9. You had an earlier Visa? Yes L1 with ZZZ
10. Number of Employees? XX
11. Can you give me the tax returns for your company gave? She checked and remarked on something
12. Do you have the list of Employees with your company? No
13. What other employer documents do you have? Gave all the other employer documents.
Final Answer:
VO: We need some more time for processing your Visa, kept my passport with all the other documents above.
Anyone else in the same boat, mind sharing what happened finally.

I had visa interview at 7.30 Am, but the queue was long when i reached at 7. They start only at 7.30 ,so went in as first batch.I got token 53 so 50+ candidates before me at 7.30 am
1. frisking
2. check docs/cover by security for cds mobiles n all
3..token counter
4. doc separation at a counter. They will make 2 bunch of docs.
5.Next counter they check left hand biometrics
6.Next counter is interview.
I had a lady VO.

Hello all
Firstly, thanks to Immihelp and all the people who have shared their experiences. It really helped.
I with my wife and son attended our interview in Chennai on 29th Nov. We had our OFC on 28th Nov.
OFC was a very straight-forward process where we just had to give our snaps and bio-metrics.
On 29th Nov, I reached 45 mins before our appointment (10.30 AM). Security were courteous and helpful to send us inside (as my son is less than a year old).
We finished the security checks and then got our token.
waited for our number and went to counter number 12 where our documents were checked. The officer then asked us to go to Counter 12 for finger-print verification. Got that completed and then moved to the next building for the interview.
Immediately as we entered, we were asked to go to counter no. 16
Discussions went as follows:
Me: Good Morning Officer, how are you ?
VO: Very Good Morning, I am find, how are you ?
Me: Very well thank you. (Then passed the docs to VO)
VO: Whose your client ?
Me: YYYY
VO: What is your highest qualification ?
Me: YYYY
VO: Same question to my wife
Wife: YYYY
Then started typing something on this comp and then told me the GOLDEN WORDS
"YOUR VISA IS APPROVED. YOU WILL GET YOUR PASSPORTS IN FEW DAYS. ENJOY YOUR STAY IN THE STATES"
Thats it !!! It was that simple. Cant believe it. I was nervous to start off (as I was L1 rejected early this year)
So just like others said. Please be confident, pleasant and cool.. Things will turn out to be positive.
Please go over your docs clearly and be sure that all docs are perfectly prepared and strong enough.

Hi,
I intend to get interview appointment on Nov 1st week and in DS160 I entered Nov last week as my travel dates, but due to glitch in NEFT transfer I could only schedule my appoint on Dec 1st week. My travel dates in DS160 remains Nov last week. Will this be problem in interview ?
If interviewer asks about this, what should be my convincing ans. I do not want to say this glitch and invite more questions. Please help

I had interview on 30 Nov 2012 at Mumbai Consulate. Appointment time was at 7.45am but I reached there around 6.30 am. I was in at 7 am.
Interview went like this :

Me: I answered my roles and responsibilities in detailed. While answering he stopped me and asked for BEP letter.
I gave him the same.
VO : What is your work location ?
Me : answered city xxx and state xxx
VO : What is your project name ?
Me : xxx
VO : Your VISA is approved.
I was very surprised, just 4 simple questions he asked and that's it. I was very tense previous day since I had rejection (B1 in lieu of H1 visa) last year. But I must tell you for H1B there will not be any impact and questions of your previous rejections unless it was happened very recently. If it was happened recently then they might ask you for that. So prepare your answer accordingly.

As soon as Biometrics verification is done, we were asked to sit in the waiting area. token numbers were being displayed on the screen, as soon as my token is displayed i went to that window and stood patiently beyond yellow line. When it’s my turn, I waited till the VO signal me to come.
Below are the questions:

i got the 221 g for administrative process required, passport given back, taken all the documents, officer said u r case keeping pending, actually he got the doubt about my employer, any body got this problem, but generally they will take the passport, but in my case given back, so how many days it will take, when they will ask the passport again.
