H1B travel question
Hi,
I intend to get interview appointment on Nov 1st week and in DS160 I entered Nov last week as my travel dates, but due to glitch in NEFT transfer I could only schedule my appoint on Dec 1st week. My travel dates in DS160 remains Nov last week. Will this be problem in interview ?
If interviewer asks about this, what should be my convincing ans. I do not want to say this glitch and invite more questions. Please help

Thanks to all who shared their visa experience through this web site.
I had interview on 30 Nov 2012 at Mumbai Consulate. Appointment time was at 7.45am but I reached there around 6.30 am. I was in at 7 am.
Interview went like this :
Me : Hello Sir, Good Morning
VO :Good Morning
VO : Who is the client ?
Me : xxxx
VO : What will you do there ?
Me: I answered my roles and responsibilities in detailed. While answering he stopped me and asked for BEP letter.
I gave him the same.
VO : What is your work location ?
Me : answered city xxx and state xxx
VO : What is your project name ?
Me : xxx
VO : Your VISA is approved.
I was very surprised, just 4 simple questions he asked and that's it. I was very tense previous day since I had rejection (B1 in lieu of H1 visa) last year. But I must tell you for H1B there will not be any impact and questions of your previous rejections unless it was happened very recently. If it was happened recently then they might ask you for that. So prepare your answer accordingly.
The keys to have your documentation perfect and confidence.

As soon as Biometrics verification is done, we were asked to sit in the waiting area. token numbers were being displayed on the screen, as soon as my token is displayed i went to that window and stood patiently beyond yellow line. When it’s my turn, I waited till the VO signal me to come.
Below are the questions:
Me: Good morning officer.
VO: Very Good Morning.

i got the 221 g for administrative process required, passport given back, taken all the documents, officer said u r case keeping pending, actually he got the doubt about my employer, any body got this problem, but generally they will take the passport, but in my case given back, so how many days it will take, when they will ask the passport again.
please can any one help me.

From my previous post, I am assuming that people who have submitted documents around OCT 22nd are getting response now.
Is there anyone who got 221g in the first week of Nov and got the response already ? I am just trying to understand how long a case going to take ! even though they say each case is different .

Interview on 19-Oct-12 . Issued 221(g) extra documents need to submit (Project description)
Submitted on 22-Oct-12 Detailed project description
Mail received on 29-Nov-12 collect the passport
Collected on 30-Nov-12 (in the cover only passport without visa stamp and there is no any document which it is rejected or need more documents)

We had interview on 29-Nov-12 at Hyderabad consulate and below is the my experince.
I attended interview along with spouse and baby under BEP company process.
Once our finger prints completed, asked to take up an interview counter no.15. At counter no.15 two persons are waiting and counter no.14 one lady is waitng. We waited before counter no.15, infront 2 members are there.
The VO of counter no.14 the moment looked us and call us along with baby.
VO is young indian guy and here is the discussion.
VO: Didn't you know, no need bring baby to interview.
ME: I got this information y'day only and we have no choice to keep baby at home.
VO: OK, no problem.
VO: R u woring YYYY company?
ME: Yes
VO: Who is your client?
ME: I will work YYYY company and not client.
VO: Your project YYYY client?
ME: I said YYYY client is YYYY company so i deputed temporarly to YYYY company.
VO: What is your highest qualification?
ME: Said
VO: Is this your first H1-B?
ME: Yes
VO: Finally said, your visa approved and will get passport soon.
Note: He didn't ask a single question to my spouse.
Be confident..All the best!

Immihelp was very helpful in preparing for the visa interview.
I had my OFC on 20th Nov and Visa interview on 21st Nov. My interview went longer than expected. Apart the commonly asked questions, questions were asked on team structure and reporting structure. Questions were also asked on my L1B which was rejected this Mar. Finally the VO told that my Visa is approved. Collected my passport with the visa stamp from the VFS center in Bangalore on 28th.
My advice would be
1. Be confident - Maintain eye contact and have a smile.
2. Be thorough with your documentation.
