My Case: EC Model, BEP Employer

List of Question asked:

How long you have been with this employer
Highest Qualification
What you will be doing in US
Whom you will report to
Have you been to US earlier
You have applied for L1 earlier which was not approved (Earlier this year my Blanket L1 was not clearly approvable)

She typed for few seconds and said your Visa is approved

While waiting, you might see VO rejecting lots of cases, but don't pay attention to this. You might get nervous. Be confident, Stay cool.

My case :EVC Model..
                 F-1 to H1b conversion .
Int time: Chennai 7:45am .

My interview was less then few minutes.

VO : GM
Me : GM !! How are you

VO : Client
Me : Answered

VO: Middle Vendor
Me: Answered

VO looked at my LCA to verify if the Client and Vendor name I said were on LCA.. Believe me he did not even ask for a single document and said everything looks fine and you should get your passport in a weeks time.

He typed something for few seconds and then
said your visa is approved will receive passport in 7 days.

Suggestion is always speak truth with visa officer.

I have attended H1B extension interview in Chennai consulate today.

He told he need to check some details with my employer regarding middle vendor. He neither gave any slip or did not say it is approved or not approved etc.

Below is the conversation,


1. Who is your client
   I told my client name.

2. Is there any middle vendor in between?
   I told Yes, there is a middle vendor and the name

3. Is middle vendor mentioned on the petition which filed for extension?
  I told I dont know. He checked in the petition and his computer
then he told it is not mentioned. He wants to check with the employer.

4. How many of my company employees works on the same project?
  I told I am the only one.

5. He asked to whom you are reporting to?
   I told my manager name.

6. Where my manager works from?
  I told he works from New Jersey (Different than where I am working).

At the end of the intw,
He told that he is holding my application and he wants to check with employer regarding middle vendor.

He has not given any slip or anything. He told he will send the
information to the employer and update in couple of days. He held back
my passport and the other documents with him.


Is there any one had similiar experience?
If any of you have any info regarding this please share.

I got pink slip stating Pending with Administration process...Is anybody experienced the same and got the visa?

My interview scheduled on Oct 31st 8:45 AM. I went to consulate by 7:45 AM, Done with initial paper check followed by finger print scanning.
I was standing in front of my interview counter.

Here are my questions:

Who is your Employer ?

How long you are working with <ABC>?

Who is your client?

Is it the first time for H1-b ?

Is any vendor between you and Cts ?

Which place you are going to?

What is your highest education?

That's all..

Heard the awesome words.
Your visa us approved and you will get it in 3-4 working days

Hi Everyone, I am Pavan Grandhi.
Really happy to share my experiences with you all.
I had attended my H1B visa interview on Nov 2nd 8AM at Hyderabad Consulate. I belong to BEP company. I had reached the place by 7.15AM and waited for 30min. At 7.45AM outside security guards checked the passport and consulate appointment letter and will direct you to the appropriate queue. (Separate queue for BEP Companies).
At 8AM, my document verification was done and preceded to the security check. Security check was simple and hardly it takes couple of minutes unless and until you have some other stuff except your documents.
Finger prints are taken in the next counter and you will be given a token number.
You need to wait in the waiting hall for your token number to be displayed on the screen for the counter number.
Here goes the interview..!!!

Which location you are going?
Who is your manager and where is he located?
Meanwhile there is some problem with the machine and it’s not responding so for a couple of minutes VO had a good conversation with me on the location that i am going to travelling to and asked me to carry a good winter wear as it is winter season and wished me a safe journey and finally approved the visa...!!!
Key points: Documents should be perfect. No Tension, Stay Cool and you will get your visa.

As most of friends asked me for my visa stamping experience I am just sharing this experience
My interview was scheduled on 1st Nov, 2011, 8:00 AM; I was there by 7:30. The police personal asked to form a queue at 7:45. I was the third person in the queue. Security personal asked to keep the DS-160 and passport ready, they verified the time and passport number and asked to proceed to the line-1 (BEP category). Waited there for my turn to come, the guy in the counter asked to produce the passport and DS-160, I could see he is having the documents that were submitted 5days before my interview date. He verified if the photograph is a new one and is taken not more than 6 months back.
Written PIMS OK..
He set all the documents required for the VO (visa Officer) gave back the HDFC receipts. You should keep only the documents given by him in the red file folder. Then you should proceed to security check they will scan all the things that you are carrying and even asked to remove belt and ID card.
You will be asked to move to a counter (in my case it is 8). They will take your finger prints and you to proceed to waiting area where you have to collect the token there will be a display showing you to move to a particular counter.in my case I got a token number F1 and I was asked to move to counter-15 there are in total 16 counters.
When I moved to the counter 10
VO is busy in drafting something. I am a bit confused if I should proceed to him or wait for his call. Felt better proceeding and wished the VO saying Hello.
Me: Hello!!! Good morning!!!
VO: Good morning! Give me 2 minutes
After a min he turned to me asking for the documents and passport. I gave entire Red folder
Me: How are you doing today?
VO: I am good
VO: Are you travelling to client place?
Me: yes
VO: On which project you will be working?
Me: Odyssey service broker project
VO: Where will be you working?
Me: I said at client place
VO: Who is your supervisor at work?
Me: Supervisor name
VO: Where will he work from?
Me: He is part of my team will be working at client place
VO: Does your team have a person with manager cadre?
Me: yes
VO: What is his Role in the project?
Me: He works as program manager
VO: What is your team size?
Me: We are three people working from EMPLOYER
VO: Apart from you three vendor how many other people are working in this project?
Me: There are other vendor teams (I did not like mentioning the head count here)
VO: How many vendors work for this client?
Me: 3000
VO: Will all of them work from client place?
Me: EMPLOYER has started a vendor facility on 10th September in Client place there are people who will also be working from there.
VO: How many people will be there in the vendor facility?
Me: probably 1500
It did not take more than 5 minutes to ask and answers these questions.
VO was bit busy now….I was just puzzled in a blink of an eye he said “Sir your visa is approved…you will receive passport in week time”.
Me: Thank you!!!
Keep smiling and show him that you are confident I am sure you will get visa very easily.

If VO keeps your passport your visa is approved!!!!!!
