Finalyy its my turn to update my interview experience :). Last yr same time my L1 B got rejected and bit scared this time (only till reaching consulate). I thought of reaching half an before but i reached 2 hrs before becos of no traffic :(.. its Ok becos i had many tamil parents came for interview.One among them started talking to me and was listening their stories. After sometime security was shouting my time.. went and was waiting in the que.. Basic check up over..
To my bad luck my token number dint come for a long time and ppl came after me went for interview itself..So asked some consulate ppl and got new token number.. After initial verification went to second building.. was waiting thr for around one hr.. was listening the tamil appointments.. My god that US interviewer speaks tamil better than our tamil music channel anchors.. coooll.. was really bored sitting thr.. finally my turn came .. when i go near VO.. she was checking something in the Sysytem for around 4 mins.. then she asked my documents.. After taht she raised her eyebrows and asked "For h1 B"???? I said "Yes"". She started typing somethin seriously.
I thought
"OK something is wrong and she is gonna ask me to come on the other day" My heart was pounding like anything.. Then she turned and smiled..Wooffff then usual questions followed

Thats it "you can keep these docunments. Your visa is approved u can receive in 7 days"
i dont remember wat did i do after taht.. was on cloud nine ha ha ha :)
H1 B is pre approved Visa.. Go thru the i 129, justification letter before u go to interview.if the client during filing is different from current client try to manage answering with the client info provided in i129 itself for safer side becos one of my collegue got 221 G becos she confused the interviewer..

First i would like to thank immihelp for the gudance and support. I got my visa stamped on sept 30 successfully. I work in EC model. I have all the documents including client letter contract agreements statement of work.
Interview went like this
VO: Good Morning sir, How r u?
me: Very GM, I am fine how r u doing?
VO: good, please pass your folder
me: sure, here it is
VO: So you work for xxxx
me: yes sir
VO: how long are u with xxxx
me: since 2 years
VO: i see you already here before
me: yes sir,
VO: what happend to that petiionvisa
me:i received 221g for the reasin h1b not amended for changed client location
VO: oh i see, what changed since then
me: sir, my employer filed h1b amendment and got approved
VO: who is the client?
me: yyyy
VO: IS this is the same client for the previous pettition
me: no its the new client, previous client contract got terminated as i didn't join them on time due to 221g
VO: ok, do you have client letter
me:yes sir here it is
VO:any yagreement beween ur emp and client
me: here it is
VO: on what proj u will be working?

Anyone had received 221g-yellow form at Hyderabad consulate and got thier VISAs? Please post their experience. I got 221g- yellow form and asked to submit all petitioner docs. I have submitted too. But my fear is, does this yellow form leads to rejection? Kindly help by posting both success and failure stories

I had my first H1B Visa stamped today i.e. 29th Sept at Delhi consulate. Below is my bit of exp.
We reached the consulate at around 9.45 for a 10.30 interview. Waited for almost 1 hr, when the guard called in for 10.30 time slots.
While checking in the guards asked for mobile phones, cameras, pen drives etc which could easily be kept in the lockers provided. So no problems if you have phone or car keys with you Delhi consulate now have lockers which you all can avail.
Below are the question asked by us...
Q1. From where did you do your college?
Q2. Who is your client?
Q3. Where will you stay?
Thats it & we heard the golden words........

Hi, I am very thankful to immihelp for this excellent forum which was very helpful. Ok, Coming to the interview it was a cake walk. There is huge rush at Mumbai Consulate. My interview is scheduled for 10AM.. I was allowed inside at 10:15AM because of some delay before. Process is smooth, people are friendly enough to help you. So, dont worry. I waited for almost 1hr 30 mins inside before my interview was taken by Asian-American national. I work for a big american company and we have a direct client which is a very big american firm. H1B-Visa stamping
Hi,
I am soon going to H1B visa stamping at hyderabad.My situation is little bit complex.I got my first OPT and I got job soon after start of my first OPT.I got OPT extension for 17 more months.In between I didn't have job for 5 months, so I left the company and found another job and has been working in this job for a quite long time and got H1 B through this company.My question is I have been unemployed for six months on OPT extension period.Will that be a problem in my H1B stamping.Please let me know.

221g-yellow form at Hyd consulate
Today i gave my H1B interview at Hyderabad consulate and VO had given 221g-yellow form and asked me submit petitioner docs. I am disappointed a lot. what are the chances that i could get my VISA. I have all the docs. I will submit them in 1 or2 days time.

I had to go to India for my brother’s wedding in August 2011 and was very much nervous about the stamping process. But everything went smoothly and I had my passport stamped in 3 weeks. I wanted to share my experience on this platform so that others who are planning to get their stamping and are in a similar situation can benefit from reading this information.
I am a direct employee working for a CRO and my background is in chemistry. I have been working for this company for 3 years. I had not left the country for six years and this was my first H1B stamping. I choose to go to Kolkata because the Mumbai consulate was closed for renovation. Kolkata was a nice place with much less crowd at the consulate. I had submitted all my paper work which was prepared by my company lawyer.
The visa officer asked me only two questions. Which company do you work for and what do you do? I gave him very brief answers to his questions and he seemed satisfied. He said my papers look excellent and asked me to go to a different counter. At that counter there was a Indian guy who gave me a green form and asked me to email my Resume and some additional information regarding my line of work in a word document to them asap.
In 3 weeks I got my stamped passport delivered via courier. Overall the process was smooth. There is no need to panic at the green slip. It is more of a formality and once they get the information the passport is processed in 2 -3 weeks.
