Avail1
Hi,

As per my knowledge, if it's your renewal means you already been to USA on H1b and this is your second/third stamping then you can attend your interview at any consulate office in india but if it's your first stamping then you have to attend it from your zone only.

Need information urgent
Hi All,
I had schdeuled my H1 visa interview at mumbai consulate but that happened a no show due to some personal emergency.

Now I dont see any dates available in mumbai when I can make it for the interview.
Is it ok if I schedule my visa interview at some other consulate which seem pretty open?

I stay in Maharashtra so does it matter or does it raise any questions if we schedule the visa interview at some other consulate than the place of residence?

Please let me know. Its very important

Thanks a lot

Pls help me with this below Q;

I've applied for H1, waiting for Stamping.
But, i've lost my diploma certificates and marks card.
It'll take some time for me to get duplicate copy.
If i dont get it before stamping, will they be asking originals, will the photo copy of marks card and certificates will do?
I've all the engineering marks card and certificates, but not diploma except photo copy of it.
Please suggest how my case is viewed.

H1B visa granted
"94% of H1B applicants are granted their visa post the petition approval". "I am sorry i can't issue you a visa at this time".
When you are standing in a queue awaiting your turn, trust me the first line regarding the stats holds no value when you hear the VO uttering the second line to an applicant standing in front of you. I was denied my L1 earlier this yr, and last yr my B1 was put under administrative processing (i eventually got it). With this kind of auspicios beginning and brilliant experience, you can very well understand how tense i would have been. I have had sleepless nights leading up to the day of interview. After an hr of waiting when my turn finally arrived my heart was pounding. Hundred other nervous faces waiting for their turn do not really help. Below is the excerpt of the conversation that followed between me and the VO
me: Good morning sir
VO: Which co do you work for.
me: XYZ
VO: Who is ur client
me: ABC
VO: Can you spell it for me
me: A-B-C
VO: What are you going to do for them?
me: answered
VO: Your highest educational qualification?
me: Masters in Economics and Bachelors in Statistics
VO: Your Visa is approved, you will get your passport back in a week.
me: Thank you sir. (This was the most sincere thank you ever)

I think the duration of interviews have gone up because most of the interviews ended up being more than 5 minutes. And i think the longer it gets, higher the chances that you will land into trouble. If you manage to get a visa after a long interview, trust me you have earned your visa :-). All the VO's were seated except for this one guy, who was standing, so i thought that this guy is going to ask less questions and which would make my life easier. Started praying that i get that particular counter and i my prayers were heard. Got the guy, got my visa :-).
 All the best guys!!

Visa Stamping @ Hyderabad
Hi,
This question is for all the guys who attended/will be attending H1 stamping at Hyderabad

Are there any issues in logistics and processing of visas at the consulate due to Telangana protests? I was wondering whether to schedule the interview at Hyderabad or Chennai for my stamping.Any inputs are appreciated.

Thanks

H1 B Approval - Direct Employer in US
Thanks ImmiHelp and folks like you for all the assistance and mainly getting me rid of the interview blues !

My past:
- L1 B rejected last year at Chennai Consulate.
- L1 Regular petition rejected last year

Attended on 13th Oct:

So I was kinda worried this time. You can actually go early since there is hardly any queue in Chennai consulate. I went 1.5 hours earlier and the security was kind enough to let me in rather than I being scorched by the hot sun outside !

After the initial doc formalities, my token number appeared and I joined the line. The guy in front of me was grilled for one hour by the VO since looks like he had some
not-so-straight forward history in US and lot of variable and suprise parameters in his case.

My legs really started aching and the VO from the other counter (jovial guy) starting smiling and talking to me from the mic. Well I did not know how to respond but it was fun... :-)

Alright, then my turn comes:

- Greeted each other.

- Where do you work?
QAZ Inc Chennai

- LCA and I-129 forms, pls?
Handed over

- He meticulously went over them and asked me my annual salary?
Told the same.

- Where are you going to work?
ad, fghj

- No clients right?
No sir, direct employer.

- Alrite, i will approve your visa, should reach you in a week.

That's it.

Hope this helps some one :-)
