Here are the questions asked by VO

Me: Good Morning..How are you doing
VO: I am doing good. How about you?
Me: I am doing good..Thanks
VO: Can I have your I129, LCA and letter submitted to USCIS
Me: Sure..provided the docs
VO: Is this your first Visa
Me: Answered the question as per my visa status. (I already had a work visa and this is my second visa)
VO: What is your total experience
Me: YYYY years
VO: Where will you be heading?
Me: XYZ location. she verified with LCA and I129
VO: What is your total salary?
Me: YYYY USD per annum. She verified with LCA
VO: Do you work for Client or Inhouse project?
Me: I am full time employee working on In-house projects
She didnt ask any project documentation as mine is a good company
VO: what is your highest degree
Me: YYYY qualification
She verified if I129, LCA and letter to USCIS all have the same information and they are consistent.
VO: Your Visa is approved. You have a safe trip.
Me: Thanks..You have a nice day

Guys remember, this is my suggestion. I see people wearing Jeans and coming for interview. Please wear formals and tie would be great. The lady VO was smiling and she was polite to me , I would suggest you to always smile, make eye contact and answer the questions honestly. Also I carried all the docs requested in the website (even more than they asked). Please make sure you provide the docs as requested without making any mess. I saw people not carrying docs and getting 221G's also some of them do carry docs and are not organized. Please avoid this. I believe if we do the above process correctly 90% of our job is done and the 10% depends on your employment history and the kind of company your work for. Please make sure you read your I129, LCA and letter to USCIS perfectly before attending the interview as the questions VO will ask are primarily based on these docs and they will verify your answers with the docs.

Wish you all good Luck.

H1 and H4 approved in Hyderabad
I went for visa stamping today with my wife to Hyderabad consulate. I was a bit tensed as I saw many 221G cases mentioned in the forums from Hyderabad.
My interview was very short, I already had B1 and the VO just asked which all cities I have visited before. He did not ask any work related questions and also did not ask for any additional documents. My wife was also not asked any questions or to show the marriage certificate. He just asked me when you both got married.
Mine is a direct employer case and a pretty big company.
But while waiting in the queue, all 3 people before me also got H1/L1 approved and I heard one of them was working for Satyam and another one Microsoft.
In general I feel Hyderabad consulate is no diffierent from others, I saw most of the people approved atleast today.

H1b - Interview
.HI,

My interview was at 10th sep 9.15 AM . I was there at the queue by 8.30, after the usual procedure - getting the token and security check. Went to the verification room and was watching the screen to know my counter No.

About 10 mins later my token with counter number displayed in the screen. After checking DS./interview letter/passport the lady took a white form ticked something and gave back my forms… she told that photo without spectacles is needed and in the white form same was ticked.

Took a photo (it will be available in the same room ) paid them 100 and again after 20 mins my Token was displayed in screen with same counter number. This time document verification/thumb scan is done and got my file. So guys if ur Passport /DS 160 as photo with spectacles, take with u a new photo without spectacles or Rs 100 (need to wait extra 20 mins,if u take a photo there ) .

Then moved to the next building for my interview….after 10mins .and got my counter number .

There was guy before me, who was interviewed for nearly 20 mins, he was explaining about a ‘tool’ and his skill set etc ( guess he might have been for L1). But after 20 mins VO said I will not able to approve ur Visa........

And its my turn …..….for H1B

And gave my file with necessary doc to him, Then he started to type something. And asked me the below listed questions

Employer name?
Client name?
US salary ?
Work Location city and state in US?
Project name & description ?
Supervisor name and his location in US?
Designation in Indian and US?
My team size?
Education?

Then he verified the docs and told my visa is approved … So they Fruitful day-ended ...

Thanks for minihelp .It really helped me to prepare well before for the interview.

H1b extension, full-time, Hyderabad consulate
Hi,

Posting my visa interview experience.

I attended visa interview last week for h1b visa. I am a full-time employee and my last visa is also from same company. My wife is on H4 and my daughter is a US citizen.

Visa officer asked me only 2 questions, what do you do for the company? and where do you live in USA.

We took our infant daughter to the interview along with us as she doesn't stay with anyone else, but I recommend not to take children along with you if not needed, as embassy doesn't allow any baby food or toys inside, and it would be little embarrassing if baby starts crying during visa interview though in our case she didn't. One good thing is people with children can skip lines on their direction, but that's not much advantage as we came out late than many other people bcoz we have baby to take care of.

Regards,
H1b
