Hi Friends,
I attended visa interview for my H4 extension in hyderabad two days back (March 30, 2009):
VO: Where your husband working
Me: I told my husband employer name
VO: Who is Client and location
Me: I told my husband client name and work location.
VO: What is your home address in USA
Me: I told our home address in CA
VO: Who are all your neighbours
Me: I told we have 8 indian familes and all are software engineers and working for different companies.
Thats it, VO said my visa got approved and will get my passport in 4 to 5 business days.
I want share these Q & A with you if you have any questions post here.

Hi all,
I have attened h1b interview on dec 30 th.the VO issuesd 221g blue form and i submited all the documents in vfs book on last wednesday.still i didnt receive any mail from counsolte.Please tell me how do i check the status?Please post ur experience after 221g form.

One Advice
One advice for all the guys who are planning to go to US, confirm with your employer weather they will provide Health Insurance, accommodation, food expenses most important weather they will generate pay stabs or not till you get job, there the situation is very bad you cannot bear all the expenses if you don’t have job, and job market is very bad many of the H1 guys already came to India and many are planning to come.
Here at least we have peace of mind.

I went to US on H4 Visa and later applied for H1-B Visa in 2007 and got it.
I started working in July 2008 until Jan 2009 when i came to India on personal work and had to go for stamping.I went for the interview on 23 Jan 2009.The following questions were asked :
1.Docs
2.Paystubs
3.Client Letter
4.Husband's paystubs
As i did not have the client letter and my husband's paystubs i asked them i could submit them if they were required and they have issued me a 221g blue form and one week time.
I submitted all the required documentation on 2 Mar 2009 and till date i have not received my passport.Can abybody hekp me here ??

Here is my parents exp at HYD US consulate. They went for visitor visa interview on 20th march 09 in Telugu.
VO didn't ask any documents of mine( I am on H1B). simly she asked to parents
VO- DAD
where are you going?
whoz there in USA?
What are you doing( Father is retired, so he explained what he was doing)
How much pension your getiing per month?
How much assests you have? ( Dint check any docs. just verbal figures).
VO- MOM
VO: are you visitng your daughter( Me n my Sister is in USA) or not?
That's it. VO told you will get your passport after 5 days through post.
I am really Thankful to Immihelp and Immi users.

Dont come to US right now
Hey,
All of them out there in India who are planning to come to US. Please dont come atleast for the next 6 months. The situation here is really bad. There are few job requirements but most of them are for Citizens/GC and others are for people who have previous experience in US. The situation in India is much better.

I have attended my interview on 18 mar 2009 at chennai along with my dependents i have been served with 221g stating your appl requires additional administration procesing and also kept original i797 with them .can any one share their experiences who as faced the same conseqences as mine.

People like Raj will only think in one way! Even i am in the same situation. I came here 3 months back and still with no assignment and pay. Its tough..all the companies are preferring only GC's and Citizen's. They dont want h1-b guys! It's really tough here. It's better in India atleast, you have a job and you are closer to family.
Life is really tough here in the present situation! I hope it gets better in the coming months.
